I'm trying to reactivate my old BB 7100 as a second phone. I need to erase huge amounts of current info contained on it - how do I restore to factory settings on this model?

If i go to settings>phone>phone mgmt.>factory settings. what exactly is deleted from the phone?
For example does it delete personal files from the phone memory? does this affect the mass memory?
Do you want to get all the firmware updates for your phone? Get a SIM-free one!
I follow the steps provided here: iOS: Forgot passcode or device disabled. I connect my iPhone 4s to my computer and select the "Restore iPhone..." option and then select "Restore and Update" after I get a pop-up. Then iTunes says "Extracting software" and after that completes it gives me an error:Â
The iPhone "iPhone" could not be restored. An unknown error occurred(3004). Also keep in mind that I am doing this to get rid of a passcode so I cannot access the iPhone directly. I am running Windows 7 32-bit SP1. I have the latest version of iTunes.Â

Due to much meddling of my own my N900 is now in a very interesting (mostly usable) state. I was wondering if there is a simple way I can attach my device to my computer and restore it to factory defaults (software wise). Reflashing the device does [i]not[/i] restore all default settings. I want to remove all user added/edited files as well as restore the default partition layout of the device.

I have a problem with my BlackBerry Bold 9700. I have BES and working well but no browsing even thru Wireless I cannot open any site. I have checked each and every option but the result is the same. It seems that I have done something wrong and unlikely put some option on/off. To make the life easy, it is better to make it as factory setting or format it completely but I don't know the command or option to do it.

1. I have moved a lot of programs to the SD card- do I need to move them back to Device Memory?
2. If I sign in with my Google account after the Factory Reset after the OS upgrade, will all the apps automatically be restored/installed?

I didn't get a USB cable with the phone, and bought one off Amazon that was compatible. However, I install the latest PC Suite, and my phone is not being recognised. I consulted the user manual, but that mentions nothing about copying photos off, just taking them.I used the Nokia Cleaner software, restarted, and re-installed and still nothing. I tried a resolution posted about unticking not restoring contacts which are e-mail synchronized but the only option under "Synchronisation Options" on my Torch is "Deleted items". When I look at the back-up data on Protect for the old device (Torch 9800) each synch has 2 Address Book entries with different numbers of items. Could it somehow be restoring only one of these two files?

When it freezes I get a black squared clock at the centre of my screen. I then decided to whip out everything on my phone thinking if I did that everything will be back to normal. After whipping out all my stuff now not only do I still experience the same problem of freezing, I now lost all my BB Messenger contacts that I can't restore. I now don't know what to do. how do I stop my phone from freezing all the the time and how do I restore all my contacts!
