I have the torch 9810 and I just had an icon show up at the top of the screen where the voicemail and other message notifications show. This icon I have never seen before and it is a black circle with a white arrow in it without a red astrik. I have gone through my app world and all of my apps are up to date.
View 7 RepliesTheres this weird notification icon on the notification bar, and it's an envelope, with what I believe is a blackberry symbol in the center, and a red circle with a 1 on the top right corner I believe. I checked other forums, and I followed their instuctions to go to the main email and click the show all one, but there is none. I also tried clicking "mark all prior unopened" and nothing happened. It is really bugging me. I also checked my bbm, all of the apps, and everything else there is to check, but nothing has happened.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI own a Blackberry 9300 and recently I have had this weird looking icon in my notification area. It looks like some sort of sundial (the clock replacement we used when we did not have clocks) with a red star and 1 written before it. Tried every app, message, etc. etc. but to no avail. I would upload the picture (I have munched the screen using an app), were it not for my knowledge of how to upload pictures on.
Has anyone ever seen this notification before? It doesn't seem to link to anything, and only a BP gets rid of it. It always comes back within an hour or two though. It chimes like an SMS when I get it.

I am new to this forum and I have got a huge problem. A week ago, my bb Torch started to act weird when I needed The keyboard. The screen went black, or The screen got mirrored. but everything still worked when The keyboard was not sliced open. Yesterday, my bb just went black when i opened The keyboard and this time, the screen stayed black. I think there is something wrong with the software on the chip that controles the visual for the screen. Because even when i had mirrored view, it still responded on the touchscreen, but the things you saw just didnt match with What you touched. What can I do? I bought my bb online, so i cant go back to the store.

the contacts icon and dialer on the homescreen does not work and neither will the green call button from the homescreen. this makes life incredibly difficult as i have to go to contacts within the menu everytime i want to make a call. Can someone please tell me what i've done wrong? or is it a fault with the phone?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI downloaded the beweather free app today and it seems to work great and all but the home screen icon doesnt show the updated temperature after i refresh my beweather free... the weird thing is that it shows the updated temperature when the icon is part of the full menu of icons when pressing the menu button to see all the icons but it is not updated when looking at the home screen layout with just one row of icons if u know what im saying.

View 9 Replies View RelatedAfter upgrading to v40, I've compared the new homescreen to the old homescreen and to the old homescreen with v21-31, these are my findings.
- The old homescreen on v40 does not have the email notification that Nokia introduced a short while ago and which was obviously VERY well recieved globally.
- The new homescreen on v40 has kinetic scrolling contacts which is, um, cute. It has the ability to control the music player (What I found to be very buggy, crashing it by simply pressing 'forward' when it's playing a folder with 1 song).
- The new homescreen on v40 does not have calendar and tasks, probably for the space the new music player-thing takes. This was my FAVORITE thing on the homescreen and I am sure I'm not alone.
I truly hope Nokia addresses these issues by either returning the email notifications to the old homescreen or somehow allowing to see the calendar and tasks on the new homescreen. Or both.
I got a BB Torch, i tried to set up the email by following the demo online, but there is no personal email setting on there just work email, and i tried to set up my email as enterprise account, it showed activation request failed.
