I noticed 3 strange black icons with a question mark on them: music, pictures & videos. I can't delete them but I can hide them. I want them gone forever! They work as links 2 the app they represent.

There is an icon on the right hand side of my screen directly below my battery symbol.it is a circle, with a glowing line going through it from top right to bottom left.I have no idea where this icon came from and what it means, OR how to get rid of it! Anybody?

View 1 Replies View RelatedTheres this weird notification icon on the notification bar, and it's an envelope, with what I believe is a blackberry symbol in the center, and a red circle with a 1 on the top right corner I believe. I checked other forums, and I followed their instuctions to go to the main email and click the show all one, but there is none. I also tried clicking "mark all prior unopened" and nothing happened. It is really bugging me. I also checked my bbm, all of the apps, and everything else there is to check, but nothing has happened.

This icon I have never seen before and it is a black circle with a white arrow in it without a red astrik. I have gone through my app world and all of my apps are up to date.

It looks like some sort of sundial (the clock replacement we used when we did not have clocks) with a red star and 1 written before it. Tried every app, message, etc. etc. but to no avail. I would upload the picture (I have munched the screen using an app), were it not for my knowledge of how to upload pictures on.
I just bought a curve and there is no contacts icon on the options screen.

Since then, my Yahoo! mail icon has been replaced with a generic Blackberry email icon. Based on suggestions I have seen online, I have tried removing and reinserting the battery, as well as deleting and re-adding the email account in the BIS website. Neither of these worked.

The screen went black, or The screen got mirrored. but everything still worked when The keyboard was not sliced open. Yesterday, my bb just went black when i opened The keyboard and this time, the screen stayed black. I think there is something wrong with the software on the chip that controles the visual for the screen. Because even when i had mirrored view, it still responded on the touchscreen, but the things you saw just didnt match with What you touched. What can I do? I bought my bb online, so i cant go back to the store.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI recently bought a SE Xperia Neo which was running 2.3.4 without any problems.I updated to 4.0.4 using SUS from my computer. After updating to 4.0.4 ICS I am experiencing the following issue.Quite frequently (once or twice a day or so) the screen stops waking up. That is if screen is in sleep mode and if I press the Power/Wake Up/Lock-Unlock button, the screen does not come up. Only lights below Back-Home-Menu button at the bottom comes up.In this condition, the phone is on, not like phone restarts or shuts down. If I call my number, phone starts ringing and vibrating but display doesn't come up.The only way I need to follow is to pull up battery, reinsert and restart the phone. This is really being headache.I have already done update once again using SUS (or reinstall) but the problem is there.This problem wasn't there when I was using 2.3.4 for about a week.Is anybody else experiencing the same problem

I thought my screen was just getting old but when they replaced my phone because of the restart issue(didn't know it was on OS bug) it was still there! I am also having an issue where my volume buttons stop working about every three days, I have to restart the phone to fix it. In 2009 my husband bought me a brand new Blackberry Pearl 8100 from the internet (he can't remember exactly where from). I put my existing O2 sim in it, expecting to be able to access the internet/emails, but neither were available to me. A quick call to O2 cleared that one up - my sim was Pay & Go and at that time, O2 were not doing Blackberry web & email on Pay & Go. I used it as a phone for a bit, got peeved (wanted internet and emails!) and bought a Samsung Tocco lite which I have been using up until last week when I found out that, since last July, O2 were now doing Blackberry internet on Pay & Go. So, I excitedly purchase a bolt on from O2, shove my sim in my lovely Blackberry Pearl, get excited when I see the new icons for Facebook and Google etc... and then I realise that there is no browser option. No globe icon, nothing. The only way I can see a browser icon is if I press the menu key and select 'Switch Application'. The 'phone then says 'requesting', then offers me an option to sign up for Yahoo Messenger. If I hit the 'back' button, the screen goes blank. If I accept 'download', I get: 'Sorry, your device does not meet the system requirements that are needed to support Yahoo'.
I have set up my emails and they work fine. If I click on links in emails, I just get a blank screen.
I have spoken to O2 who have said that 'everything is fine their end' and there is no reason why I can't find a browser icon. They told me to check out the latest Blackberry download so my 'phone is updated. So, I have installed what I believe to be the latest version but that has had no effect whatsoever.
A battery pull (well, about a hundred of them actually..) has also had no effect).
I am currently in Canada, Toronto on a business trip but I live in TN and i have never had a problem with my sms until I got here. I have lost my SMS icon and is not able to receive my msg and when i go in to view folder and try to pull up sms inbox I get this message-Uncaught exception: java.lang.NullPointerException. I don't know what that means.

View 1 Replies View RelatedFIRST QUESTION: I got an unlocked T-Mobile Pearl 8220 and am running on my company AT&T plan. The phone is great except I can't setup internet mail (Yahoo in my case). My company phone support guys have reloaded the phone software but still no icon and they have given up. I have the AT&T data service plan. The icon is definitely not hidden, it is just not there. I saw some posts about MMS and email not working together, and MMS and all other functions works fine. Is there another way to set up Internet mail without using the phone and the Manage Internet Mail icon?SECOND QUESTION: If I can't get this to work, is there a 3rd party internet mail download that anyone can recommend?
