BB Torch :: Videos Gotten From IPhone 3GS Get Heavily Distorted?
Feb 23, 2011
My sister has an iPhone 3GS, and my mother has a BlackBerry Torch 9810Whenever my sister records a video and send it over via WhatsApp, the video would get distorted, it gets stretched horizontally, so faces become wide. This persists even after said video is transferred to other mediumsIt should be noted that all the videos that she sends are rotated -90 degrees, so it might be more accurate to say that the videos are stretched vertically. The BlackBerry is new, and a check for update via Wireless Update says the OS is already latest version. Note that the carrier's "latest version" may not be the latest version available from other carriers worldwide. This is not the iPhone's fault, by the way, as videos sent to my BlackBerry Bold 9700 are not stretched. Still rotated (so I have to rotate the device itself to watch it), but not stretched. This is not an isolated case, as my sister's mother-in-law uses a BlackBerry Torch 9810 too, and it suffers the same problem.By the way, the OS is already 7.1. I don't know the exact build number, but if the latest build solved this issue , I'll just go ahead and download it.
I know there's been posts about distorted audio in both the voice recording apps and video apps, but I think I have a different situation. I take a lot of videos of bands at small music venues - usually more for the audio then being worried about perfect video quality. My iphone 4 excelled at this - the sound was always great and sometime my HTC sounds really good but other times it gets really distorted. For examples below, it's the same app, same settings, same venue, same band and almost the exact same position in the bar and in the first video the sound is pretty clear (at least as clear as it's going to be at a punk show) and in the second it's really distorted. I guess mainly, I'm wondering if this has something to do with the AGC (automatic gain control) and if there's any tricks I can do to get the best results.
My lumia 1020 battery's draining so heavily ( 94% - 8 hrs remaining ) i tried doing the soft reset, disabled all the background apps, turned off the settings, at last even did a hard reset and installed all the apps again and after two days it still on to the same issue..
I have a problem with my contact images and widget images imported from Facebook, they look heavily rendered and blury whilst two other Motorola Defy owners I know have the same images showing up very clearly on there phone.
i bought a new torch 9860 with OS7. when i try to open any flash video from facebook, it doesn;t open and says my phone doesnot support this. on adobe site, there is no flash player available for blackberry os7.
Today when using the phone on my iphone 4s, I noticed the sound is slightly distorted. It's hard to discribe, but it just doesn't sound as clear and crisp as usual. My wife has an iphone and she listened to it and noticed it as well.
The picture on my phone is distorted when I make or receive a call. It has been this way since I have had the phone but I have noticed other people's are not.
My iphone 5 plays the beat to songs but the voices on the songs are very quiet and distorted sounding. I have tried multiple pairs of headphones to see if that was the issue but the problem keeps reoccurring. This happens with all my music apps including YouTube.
My iPhone 6 Plus is less than a 2 weeks old but since day one its speaker sounds distorted.  The ringer or alerts or even the new email alert have a popping or clangy sound to them. Is this a software issue or hardware? My phone is uptodate and Ive tried hard reboots to try to alleviate the problem but it didn't fix the problem. Should I try to restore it?Â
how can i hide some adult videos from other normal music videos on iphone? i have a different folder named "videos" where my videos store when i sync with itunes.
I just downloaded the Turner Classic Movie app. But when I try to play a video I get: INITIALIZING PLAYER. the phone gets frozen in this mode when I finally FORCE the phone to close I get this message: UNCAUGHT EXCEPTION : APPLICATION TCM_BLACKBERRY_4_7 EN 307 IS NOT RESPONDING; PROCESS TERMINATED
I cannot get my computer to recognize my media card. I want to be able to get the pictures and videos off of my phone but it will not recognize anything on my memory card.
I can't seem to find my videos on my phone and phone is asking for media card to be formatted which I keep saying no to - I haven't deleted my videos so wondering how I can retrieve? I also have a flashing green light??
It started yesterday and it's really rather annoying. It is a video i've never seen before and it isn't in my video library either. The video itself seems to have something to do with vampires and also has a song playing. Has anyone else experienced this/ know how to stop it.
I have large video files on my BB that I recorded. At first, I had no problem importing them from my BB to my PC. Now, I can only import very small files. Anything over 200MB, an error message comes up saying something about Desktop Manager keeping 200MB free for transfer and can't transfer the videos. I'd really like to get these videos off my phone to keep it from eating up my memory.
I tried to back up my phone on the PC, the video's would not open a message about Codac came up, the web can not open them. I put the Video's back on the phone and it states that there is an error and will not open.
I can not download my videos to my computer. Every time I try to sync I get this message on my cell phone:
Built-in Media and Media Card Storage are not available because Mass Storage Mode is currently in use.
I have tried to find out how to stop it from going into Mass Storage Mode and can not find it. As soon as I unplug the USB cable the message goes away and I can at least see the videos.
i tried uploading to Internet. no dice. it looks like it's sending the file, it gets to 100% complete, and then it fails with an error 401 - unable to connect to server. i tried using bluetooth - i bought a targus bluetooth adapter for my pc. i can send stuff to the torch, but i cannot receive anything. it just sits there at 'sending', but nothing ever happens. progress bar doesn't move. i tried using email - i get an error b/c the 33 mb file is too large to send.
Whenever I try downloading music or videos it would begin the downloading then in the process it just stops and says "download failed" just wondering what I could do because it always happens even if its on 3G. I'm currently using a Torch.
I take a picture or video, and then go into my picture or video folder, it says that I don't have any. Not too sure what the deal is with this. I was able to do it before and had a few pictures, videos, and wallpapers, and all of a sudden they're all gone and I can't save any new ones to my phone.
I purchased BB torch last week. When I store songs on card via USB, in computer it shows that songs r on card or device, but in the cell phone i just cannot view them? Also, the pictures i click from blackberry does not appear in cell or i cannot simply view them. But when I connect to laptop I can view them in the camera folder.
Also when i browse the cell like followsmedia>options>explorei canot view any folder in cell.
How do I transfer videos stored on my DEVICE (not the media card) to my computer? When I connect with the USB cable, all I see are the videos stored on the card.it's rather important that I get this done.
I use my phone a lot to record audio of my bands' practices, and on my iphone this worked fine, however on my HTC one the audio is distorted beyond recognition. This happens when I use the stock voice recorder, as well as RecForge (and RecForge II) and Hi-Q MP3 Rec apps. Those apps have allowed me to try using front and back mics as well as disabling the Automatic Gain Control. Nothing has worked.
Now, normally I'd chalk this up to a (very disappointing) limitation of the phone, however last week I tried taking a video of the practice instead of an audio recording and the audio was crystal clear. Any audio recorder app that's using the same method as the camera app to capture audio. Lastly, I'd also be up for a video app that lets me turn off the video function and capture just audio.
I am facing a trouble with the home screen wallpaper. I have few pictures on the BB bold 9900 and when I open those pictures they are getting opened in the right format(size). But when I select them for my wallpapers they are getting distorted as BB is accepting them with larger(Zoom) size.I checked the default images(Autumn, detail,Droplet etc) on the phone as well and found that it is getting distorted as I have zoomed it but in actual I have not. The same way wallpapers images are getting saved with Zoomed size.I have done the reset wallpapers on the home screen preference option and also tried to reset settings as well but still no success. Is there any way to get the wallpapers in the normal size rather than zoomed size.
