I use my phone a lot to record audio of my bands' practices, and on my iphone this worked fine, however on my HTC one the audio is distorted beyond recognition. This happens when I use the stock voice recorder, as well as RecForge (and RecForge II) and Hi-Q MP3 Rec apps. Those apps have allowed me to try using front and back mics as well as disabling the Automatic Gain Control. Nothing has worked.
Now, normally I'd chalk this up to a (very disappointing) limitation of the phone, however last week I tried taking a video of the practice instead of an audio recording and the audio was crystal clear. Any audio recorder app that's using the same method as the camera app to capture audio. Lastly, I'd also be up for a video app that lets me turn off the video function and capture just audio.
I purchased Asha 302 about 20 days ago and while going through the features when I recorded some voice using voice recorded output was distorted, I contacted Nokia support through email and was told to restore factory setting. After doing the same I recorded and played AMR file it was fine but as soon as I received a call and then I checked the same recorded AMR file it was againt distorted. I reported same to Nokia support and was told to contact Nokia Care Centre which I visited yesterday there NCC people re-installed the software/OS but the problem persists. I was told that phone has to be sent back to company. I am having another Nokia C2 phone which is fine and no such problem there in that model.
I've been using my Moto Droid, running Android 2.2.2 for some time now. Up until recently, I've been able to use it to listen to Pandora and mp3s loaded onto the phone. Now, any time I plug a set of headphones into the audio jack, the audio is really distorted. It sounds like a channel is out or something, and this happens across all volume levels. It pretty much sounds like you're listening to music underwater. Doesn't matter if it's streaming adio through Pandora or mp3 audio. When I unplug the headset (any headset, mind you) and go to external speaker, the audio is fine.
reduce the audio recording level for video shoots?Cause if its just a little loud, the whole soundtrack gets distorted.Another nice one would be if we could get the noise cancellation mic thats next to the headphone plug to record a second audio track, making it stereo..
Video Recording App that allows us to control the Volume Level being recorded? I did a test of a recording on a Dance Club last weekend (very loud of course) and while the Video itself was amazing, the sound really sucked because of the distortion.
I know there's been posts about distorted audio in both the voice recording apps and video apps, but I think I have a different situation. I take a lot of videos of bands at small music venues - usually more for the audio then being worried about perfect video quality. My iphone 4 excelled at this - the sound was always great and sometime my HTC sounds really good but other times it gets really distorted. For examples below, it's the same app, same settings, same venue, same band and almost the exact same position in the bar and in the first video the sound is pretty clear (at least as clear as it's going to be at a punk show) and in the second it's really distorted. I guess mainly, I'm wondering if this has something to do with the AGC (automatic gain control) and if there's any tricks I can do to get the best results.
I have a relatively severe issue with the Bluetooth audio quality on my phone. It sounds pretty much exactly like 64kbits MP3, you can especially hear it in the high frequencies. It's somehow distorted and unclear and extremely annoying as it ruins the experience totally.
Everyone who heard sound over my Bluetooth devices has heard this. The weird thing: I experienced this with both my Galaxy S5 (G900F) and my Galaxy S6 (G920F) and every single Bluetooth device that is connected to them. I tried it with my Logitech Bluetooth Audio Adapter, Denon AVR X1100W, Logitech Boombox and my car stereo Kennwood KDC-BT35U. The audio quality is always the same.
However, with my Nexus 5, my Galaxy Tab S8.4 and my Laptop, the audio quality over Bluetooth is great! Also, if I use the headphone jack on my Galaxys, it sounds just fine. I mostly use Spotify and Google Play Music, but the problem is not there since it sounds great when using a cord.
Is there a voice/audio recorder app that will allow me to record for however long and will allow me to email no matter how big the file size? I need to record and email long lectures for the organization that I'm in.
As far as I know, the stereo recording is only used when recording video, because it uses the two rear microphones. If we use the audio recording app, it uses the front microphone and records in mono. Is there any way to record just audio in stereo without having to actually film?
I have just purchased a Z3 after upgrading fromĀ a Z1. When recording a video the audio follows around 2-3 seconds after the image. I have tried on my z1 but there is no lag as there is on the z3.
i have heard that there is a stereo microphone accessory for sony xperia phones, since its a stereo input micropohne, i need to know whether i could feed any stereo input (line in recording) to my phone and record better quality audio.
In the video settings it is impossible to activate the audio recording. All other settings can be enabled / disabled but the audio recording can be activated. You can click on the parameter, it is not frozen, but the option enabled will not activate.X7 model cell received September 30, 2011. I tried to reinstall the software, but this has not fixed the problem. No update is available either for the software. Is this a isolated issue where I must return the unit to exchange it while I'm in my 30 days of rembourssement or X7 offers HD recording without sound?
If I want to make high quality audio recordings on the phone, is it Onenote I should go for? Or, what is the best choice and how do I transfer the files to my computer?
Prior to owning the Nexus 5, I remember always having an option to attach video, picture, or voice memos straight from the text message app.. is there a way to do this with Hangouts.
Since I've installed ICS on my Ray (a month ago I finally got the update) I found out that my videos (taken on ICS) are with mono audio (comapring the audio quality with those videos that I've made on 2.3). There's a solution here on the forum, but It needs root (so I have almost 1 and half year of warranity and I don't want to avoid it in any way), so If Sony are going to make some update soon to fix this.. And who was those brilliant mind/s to decied to make the audio of video recording mono, instead of briliant stereo sound on 2.3?
P.S I don't want to make a downgrade to 2.3,It's not my fault that Sony are make such horrible update....
I use Torch 9810 to record conversation (client meeting) , once I press "record button" it works fine but recording automatically stop every 5 minutes, e.g. if meeting last 1 hour I will have to press "record" button 12 times (every 5 minutes).
Does anyone know if it is possible to disable this constraint (5 minutes) in 9810?
I'm trying to record video. I'm getting some nice image quality, but almost no sound. The audio is extremely muffled. I have my playback volume as high as it will go, and still can just barely hear anything. I can use Tango and make phone calls just fine, so it seems that my mic is working. The only time I've noticed the problem is when I'm trying to record a video. Even if the person I'm recording is standing right in front of my and speaking in a loud, clear voice, I can't hear much in the recorded video.
We all know that in the past Nexus the audio recording in videos in loud places (ex. night club) was really bad, specially the bass that was recorded all distorted. how's the audio recording in videos in loud places with the Nexus 6P?
I am having two problems with Nokia Camera on my Icon. When recording a video in Nokia Camera. I have found that it isn't recording sound. When recording a video in Nokia Camera, it takes about 5 seconds after hitting the record button for it to actually start recording.
I am not sure how to replicate the issue because it has only happened a few times and it will fix itself by restarting the phone.
When it does happen it will happen every time I record a video through Nokia Camera until a reboot. I at least now figured out that if I hit record and there is a delay between it actually starting to record, then the sound will not be recorded so a restart is necessary.
I can still record through the WP camera app and audio will be recorded, but this is a huge problem for me. I have about 5 videos that I have taken in the past week that were actually pretty important that have no sound now.
I uninstalled Nokia Camera and reinstalled and it still did it. Is this a Nokia Camera bug or an Icon bug?
I'm looking for a way to record a call for my E71. Basically, I have a saved voicemail message that I want to get in any audio file format that I can play on my PC.Suggestions?
I have audio through the headset or speakerphone with no issue but none through the handset. Did a battery pull but that did not resolve the issue. I also just upgraded to Rogers OS 5.0.0.743 not sure if this is what caused the problem.
Came from LG G4 that didn't have these issues with the same apps.
Sometimes the audio will work fine (notice this more when I'm on WiFi) but sometimes, in all apps (snapchat, facebook, regular gallery view) the video will play but the audio will cut in and out.
Not sure what it is. Phone is rooted (systemless) and is running the EX Kernel. I didn't mess with the audio settings in the EX Manager...
This is a huge issue for me as I spend a lot of time on Snapchat, Instagram and YouTube (I'm a vlogger, etc.).
I've had two Razr's behave the same, whenever audio plays, especially using the headphone jack and external speakers, one can hear an audiable click or pop just before and after the audio plays. This happens with Pandora, Rhapsody, and Google Navigator. I haven't tested other audio based apps yet.Verizon and Motorola say they've not heard of this issue, so I'm wondering how many other Razr owners have noticed this pop? Hearing such noises as the audio turns on and off is not acceptable quality for a Motorola branded phone.I don't know enough about how the Android OS works, but I'm thinking there are two possible causes. First, as different apps access the audio hardware the internal electronics of the phone produce an audible pop as the circuits power up and down. Alternatively, the Android OS may be probing the headpone jack trying to determine if it's connected to external speakers. I've noticed that the pop gets louder as the phone approaches 100% charge.
With a 90% charge or better I've even had the audio output go quiet if the headset cable is moved, even though the audio application shows audio is playing. I know that removing the headset cable will pause the player, but in this case hitting play starts the player and it shows progress, but no audio is heard.
Today when using the phone on my iphone 4s, I noticed the sound is slightly distorted. It's hard to discribe, but it just doesn't sound as clear and crisp as usual. My wife has an iphone and she listened to it and noticed it as well.
I am facing a trouble with the home screen wallpaper. I have few pictures on the BB bold 9900 and when I open those pictures they are getting opened in the right format(size). But when I select them for my wallpapers they are getting distorted as BB is accepting them with larger(Zoom) size.I checked the default images(Autumn, detail,Droplet etc) on the phone as well and found that it is getting distorted as I have zoomed it but in actual I have not. The same way wallpapers images are getting saved with Zoomed size.I have done the reset wallpapers on the home screen preference option and also tried to reset settings as well but still no success. Is there any way to get the wallpapers in the normal size rather than zoomed size.
Recently I attended a conference and recorded the audio on my iPhone3. I want to transpose the information to a document without the agony of typing every word. Is there an app for this purpose?
When a mp3,acc file is assigned to play as a ringtone, the sound is distorted as if it was 'slipping' (old fashioned vinyl term!).All music files play ok on mp3 player/music application.
