View 1 Replies View RelatedIs There anyway to synchronise my calendar and contacts in Outlook 2011 for Mac with my blackberry torch. I am running bb desktop manager 2.0 for Mac and this gives no options other than to use ical and Mac address book. I am able to synchronise contacts with address book using the sync services on outlook, and then sync that with my bb, but it takes a while and loses some info on the way. There seems to be no way to use the outlook calendar.

I just got my device back from the repair depot. I sent it in b/c I cant charge my battery. Everything else worked great on the device. I was told that it was out of warrenty and it was sent back. (Not a problem, I have a broken screen 9800 that I was using to charge my battery in the first place)When I got my device back, it is stuck on a white screen that gives me an option on testing the camera, LED, FLASH, etc.. But it does not give me the option of exiting or anything. When I plug it into Desktop Manager, I get that it doesnt connect and gives the options of retry or upgrade. So I go and press update, it connects and starts working. It gets upto the JVM and then it states that it can not connect to the device. What can I do here? It was fine (software wise) before I sent it off and the depot screwed it up!!! What steps can I take into getting my Torch back to where it was?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am owner of a Blackberry 9800 Torch for about a year and now it does not startup. I turned the phone off last night and this morning it does not start up. I didn't make any changes to the phone so very strange. The behaviour is that when I take the battery out and it turns on, the load screen start but the little white line only starts a little (2mm line) and then it restarts and does the same thing and loop over and over again in this till battery runs out. I have tired to enter Safe mode by holding in the Escape bottom when the load screen starts or when the red light turn off but it does not enter Safe mode.

View 1 Replies View RelatedFirst time post and really hoping someone can help before I need to claim on insurance. My Blackberry Torch has worked great until all of a sudden this week I have been unable to hear people when they call me.They can hear me - but I simply hear no audio at all from the handset. The only way I can hear what callers are saying is if I put them on speaker phone or use headphones.I have tried hard reset, volume level checks, updating software to no avail.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI just switched from a Storm 2 to the Torch 9810. My Torch will not enter landscape mode or even move from the portrait mode, so basically the accelerometer seems inop. I have pulled the battery and it will work for a few hours but then it stops again. I am trying to avoid pulling the battery every 8 hours. I have read online that the problem might be related to my transferring some old BB 5 settings to my new phone but don't know how to undo this.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI've been using my Torch for 6 months now, and it has been working fine with the Holster (its a flip case) Everytime I close, it will auto go to sleep mode. However, since last week, the phone doesn't go to sleep when I close the flip case. I think it doesnt detect the magnet anymore. I check the Holster and the magnet is still there. I use another magnet to run it over the Torch but the phone just doesn't go to sleep mode. I've pulled the battery out and even tried with other casing, it just doesn't work anymore.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI got a Blackberry Torch 9800. I have an issue with the slider (or I think this is the origin of my problem), my screen don't want to rotate in portrait mode and I can't have the virtual keyboard, even when the slider is closed. I have tried everything, from hard reboot to uninstall all my apps, wipe out my os and re install it.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have had a recurring issue with my screen not wanting to change orientation when I rotate the phone. This is especially frustrating since the portrait keyboard is difficulty for me to use. I have tried resets, battery pulls and most recently a security wipe. While the phone will work properly at first, the problem eventually recurs. I am assuming that I may have a faulty accelerometer. Is there a test that can confirm if this is the case?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI bought a new Bb torch 9860 the day before. It was working perfectly fine until this evening. It has now stopped turning off completely which it was doing very well before. Now it goes into a standby - like mode and quickly turns on when the red button is pressed. Earlier it used to take time in loading (I know it's a time saver but what if I want to switch off my phone completely to give it some rest). I am unable to switch it off completely other than by the method of removing it's battery. Also, it had stopped showing recent updates in bbm and was suddenly not playing any media file before this thing happened. These two have now been resolved but the turn off thing still wont work.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI updated my Blackberry Torch 9800 to the latest Blackberry V6 Software last weekend. My phone died yesterday and much to my horror I find that I cannot use safe mode as when I hold the escape key down the phone reboots before it comes up. So I have no way of restoring the backup as the desktop software will not connect to the phone while it is rebooting.
