The screen of my Blackberry Torch will not automatically turn off. It stays on all the time unless I press the lock button. I have the backlight brightness on the lowest setting and the 20 second time out.
Not that these matter, but I've also recently done the new Operating System update and have downloaded the applications AT&T 's Mark The Spot and Blackberry Maps. I do know they are why I've been losing battery power.
When I tap on the screen no matter where I am on the screen it scrolls automatically back up to the top it does it in every menu I'm in is it me or is it the phone?

Even if I have the screen lock on or the phone completely locked, the home screen keeps popping up. When I attempt the screen lock alone, within a minute the screen turns on and unlocks automatically without touching the phone. It's killing the battery.

Trying to make a phone call, read text, email, or even just scrolling through apps is very difficult because the screen scrolls down to the very bottom very quickly. When I scoll back up, it scrolls right back to the bottom. When I'm not outside or a bright glare is not on the screen it works great.

My emails are now being deleted from my Torch, although sent ones are still there. I have changed settings so email is deleted after 60 days. I read somewhere that I should turn off wireless reconcile, but that hasn't helped either. Does anyone have any other suggestions as the whole reason for having the blackberry is to connect with my emails remotely

Last week, all of a sudden and for no apparent reason, the Vodafone app (icon looks like a SIM card with Vodafone written underneath it) automatically opens when the phone is switched on. For example: I have auto on/off enabled, so when the phone autos on - the Vodafone app is launched; or if I switch off the device using the power on/off, when the device is switched back on the app loads.
I have called Vodafone about this - they passed me to Blackberry. I have been trying for 3 days to speak to someone at Blackberry - virtually impossible and when you do get through they immediately refer me back to Vodafone.
Messages weeks ago are automatically deleted even you have already set 'never delete' .It should be me not BB to decide which message is kept or deleted. The official BB distributor in China and customer service of China Mobile are not able to give any solution that makes sense.

I've noticed that when it begins to delete old messages it turns them green so I can not read them again and old messages that I have saved also turn green and are automatically deleted. This is a highly disappointing weakness of the torch and as I am new to Blackberry I thought saving text messages would be an easy and basic task to do. Contacts are auto-sync and now I have the same contact twice although in the "setting" "setup" I have untick the sync contact box I just do not understand why does that happen. how do I adjust the settings so that the spell checker doesn't automatically change words, ie right now everytime I type mo (for mobile) it changes the word to month without asking.
But I dont want to switch spell check off completely, and still want the spell checker to underline words that are wrong and suggest corrections when you click on the underlined word.
The issue here is that whenever you go to make a call The phone automatically blacks out the screen. I can't see how to disable this. But if the phone is blacked out and you are on another call, when a second call beeps in it won't allow the screen to come on to switch calls.
