Have a Torch, Contacts Options indicate that contacts exist, but do not display. I have unchecked the filters, indicated to show all contact lists and pulled the battery three times.

My address book went missing the day before yesterday. I don't remember any error messages. I have checked all filters and they are not checked. Is there a way that I can retrieve these contacts? And my call log shows the names of the contacts properly but my messages do not have names attached just phone numbers.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently needed to re-add all of my email accounts, doing it in a hurry I forgot to un-check 'sync contacts' when setting up my hotmail email. I now have 300+ random email addresses in my contacts list that I cant seem to get rid of. I had a look on desktop manager and all i could do was delete all -therefore including the numbers in my contact list too...obviously i don't want to do this....just want to get rid of all of these email addresses! I am having difficulty resetting the Contact List default, so I can synchronize my phone and Outlook email contacts and calendar. I recently added a gmail account and this has become the default. I need to reset the Contact List back.I have deleted the gmail account from my phone and restored older backups, this doesn't work.
I am trying to transfer all of my contacts from from an older torch 9800 to a new torch 9800 but only a portion of the contacts are being copied. I have tried backup-restore via desktop software etc... but it's not copying the complete list. Tried to do it at AT&T store but that just duplicated the 425 contacts that I all ready had. After I manually deleted all of the duplicates....Tried again to no avail.

The emails and phone numbers in this list work fine for other models we have (9650,etc.) But users with new BB Torch 9800 can not click on the phone numbers or emails any more. Our provider is ATT. The OS I believe is 6.0.0.246.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've been getting an incredible amount of spam recently. So I've tried setting up filters on my BB Torch 9800. If I set up only two or three filters, it seems to work fine. But if I set up more than that, the BB just stops receiving all emails, not just the filtered ones. I've checked to see that I've clicked the right options. I'm not, apparently. So what's the trick to setting up lots of filters to kill of this wretched spam? In Outlook, of course, it's easy -- I can set up rules to stop the **bleep** reaching my in-box -- and I was hoping it was going to be similarly easy to do on the BB. But it isn'.

Have searched a lot about this problem, but looks like nobody has faced this before.hen I open my contact list (or the message list) and then press the back button, they don't close. I have to press the home button to come out of them forcefully. I then can kill the messaging app by going in task manager but there is no such option for contact list. This problem occurs only for contact list and message list. Rest all apps I am able to close by pressing back button.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a 5800 that I have been troubleshooting for the past Month. We have been to the provider who has now replaced the phone twice in the past two months. Calling out appears to be fine. However when customizing the phone I am unable to set picture and a ringtone to a contact in the contact list. The Contact is saved on the phone. When the person dials in the picture will display correctly but the ringtone will play a default ring not a custom file as selected. This has heppened on all 3 of the phones. I am down to the OS of the phone which the provider says is up to date.

After finishing the call, the screen goes back to main menu.... but the contacts-app sticks active in the background. In order to close that, i have to long-press the button, switch to contacts, and close. Which is a little bit fussily.....

View 1 Replies View Relatedi have a problem by adding/editing new contact, after i added/edited the contact, it will shown on top of all my contact list, and i can't scroll the letter before the alphabet i added/edited.For example: i added James into my new contact list, it will appear on top of all my contacts with the alphabet J, then i can't scroll down using the scroll bar beside to search for the contacts name with alphabet before J like i want to search Benjamin using scroll bar but i can't, if i want to search someone name with alpahbet after J is fine, what's wrong with my phone?
