I have a 4gig memory in my Torch 9800 and want to put in a 8gig one. The problem is, how do I copy all my data from the 4gig to the 8gig. I have tried using the adapter and copying it, however not all my pictures and music copies.
View 1 RepliesI have to admit that I been in love with my C5-03 since the first time I saw it. But unfortunately, the phone gave me real hard time.
1- I can't change the message memory to memory card. It works for a while, and then an error message pops out, statimg that "memory card not found" and that the phone will revery the message memory to phone memory.
2- The phone memory is almost full. I have 11.4 MB left, and I don't know what's filling the memory. I have 3 apps installed, 1 MB each, besides the default apps. Browsing the memory was of no help: almost all folders are empty. I tried emptying the browser's cache, but 11.4 MB is all I could have.
3- Nokia store and the web browser give me the "memory full" message after a couple of minutes of browsing, and then they close automatically, making them almost useless.
4- The battery life is not impressive. I have to charge the phone every 1-2 days even with light usage (15 min of calls, no Wi-Fi or music playing).
I love the phone and I've been having it for 6 months now.I have installed the latest firmware 2 months ago (v.20.0.024, version date 25-05-2011.

The problem is the default contact location is phone memory and though i have copied the contacts to phone memory, if there is any incoming call or sms, the name doesnt appear even though i would have that persons contact stored.
Is there any way to change the default location to memory card? I go to Communication -> contacts -> Options -> Settings and the only option available is Phone & Contacts. Currently the default is phone. If i change to contacts, it asks for sign in. Kindly assist.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've had my Blackberry Torch for a few months and it used to flash "Media Card Inserted/Removed" constantly (alternating between the two) untill I would just take it out and give up. Now it has got to the point where it won't read any memory cards at all. I recently posted about this and was told to format the card in my PC then in my phone, which worked great for a few hours then it flashed "Media Card Removed" and was not recognised at all after that. Now when I repeat the format procedure (in PC then in phone) it recognises it for about 10 seconds then says its removed. The media card slot doesn't appear to be damaged or loose.

View 3 Replies View Relatedi own a 5800 and when i tried to access to the memory card through the file manager it says the card was corrupted. but when i inserted the card in a memory card reader, it works accept that i cant eject it and a pop-up window came out saying an error occured while ejecting the card. it is a 8Gb memory card. i found a solution similar to my situation but is there any other alternative ways that doesn't require me to download huge files?

When going to file manager, seems it doesnt find memory card, even it is inserted.Then when removing memory card, phone works normally and not slow, fast. View 1 Replies View RelatedAll my media files on the memory card are hidden. When i select any of the options in Media menu, I can only access the item that have been saved onto phone memory. All the files/folders that where on the memory card have dissapereard.
When i am in Explore mode and select the Show Hidden option, I can see all my previous files/folders. All the folders on the mem card have been hidden, and thus my device cant access the files.
How do i change this attribute permanatley, restore it to what it was.
My company recently introduced a security policy that disallows the use of any from of external drives and I wasn't aware of this and i connected my phone to my laptop and couldn't access it and afterwards i noticed that i didn't have access to my files on either the device memory or memory card.I have tried saving stuff into them via bluetooth or from other systems but it won't show when i view it via my phone, however i can see the files on the system i can view the files. When i try to view the contents of the media card through the file manager i see that all the folders on the media card are showing as .exe files.I have tried to reformat the media card all to no avail.

I just upgraded my Os to os 7.1 bundle 2061 (v7.1.0.714, platform 5.1.0.532) last week. And after that I felt the error started to appears. It happened to my wife's 9860 also. luckily I cold manage to restore the picture and file. And today the problem occur again. The picture in my media card are showing when I open the library, but when I open the file it got corrupted or it showed correctly and then disappear from the screen.

Having great fun in doing so but not always given the option of where to save them to with the end result that they are saving to the phone memory which keeps filling up and then giving me an error message. Can anyone please tell me how to move apps from the phone memory to the card memory. To me this is a no brainer, most of us have 16 or 32gig cards, I would be more than happy to set aside some space so the phone could run better. Most of the new flash cards these days are reasonably fast and could easily be used as a swap file place holder or reside some of the dormitory features.

All is well except when i connect to PC via USB cable and select 'Mass Storage' I get the message 'Memory Store Unavailable' on my phone and cannot access the contents of my memory card.
