Not knowing the technical details of how Blackberry pushes email, I would like one of you experts out there to fill me in. I use a couple of "mail.com" accounts. Emails sent to me through those accounts can be significantly delayed in arriving to my BB. Sometimes a few minutes, but sometimes up to a half hour.

I was texting back/forth with a friend the other day and it was taking about 20 mins or so to get a reply.I noticed my 'delivery report' was between 5-10 mins to get the D for delivered.I started sending the times I was sending the messages and ask when they were received, which they were received right away however I would get the reply about 15 minutes later.Is there a known issue with text delay?

I read when the Storm2 was launched that it didn't work with 3G on ATT have you found how to make it run on 3G for ATT?
View 9 Replies View RelatedWhether it was my recent os upgrade to 517 or the new BIS 3.0, but something amazing has happened to my native browser. It went from being frustratingly slow and almost unusable to lightning fast! Its so different I have been thinking of it as a whole new app.I used to use Opera Mini exclusively, and had even gone as far as to "hide" the icon for the bb browser, but that has all changed. I haven't even booted up OM in a couple of days. Has any one else noticed this incredible change? Is it the new BIS or was my it 517 upgrade? Most pages now load in less than 3 seconds!
View 14 Replies View RelatedWORLD CUP SOCCER....This is just my personal theory. Since the beginning of internet browsing there has never been as much traffic as there is now due to the World Cup. I am finding that my connection speeds are hit and miss and I believe that if we look at the soccer schedule we will be able to prove this theory. If anybody, due to time zones, gets a chance to do this before I do please post as to whether proven or dis-proven.

Problem is the silver molding was all rough as if someone forgot to replace the molding. So I called it in. My 2nd replacement is brand new. The screen is very similiar in touch except I have to push down a little harder. My question is, does anyone know how to make it click easier? Also the screen is not as, "white," as the replacement and original. Thanks for any help...

Calendar takes ~5 seconds to load. Upon loading, another ~5 seconds till it will respond to any activity. I have it default to Agenda view, as I always have. Prior to v5.0.0.607 this was NEVER an issue.
Work-around:
If I turn "show free time" to ON, then it works perfect. Loads instantly, scrolls instantly, etc. However, turned OFF, it reverts to issue above.Problem is that I really don't want to show the free time on my view. Whom else has this issue, anyone? Does anyone know how to resolve this?
I so love Opera now and the speed is amazing. Is there anyway to make it my default browser? When I click a link in an email it opens up the incredibly slow native BB browser. When I go into settings, the only choices are internet browser and hotspot browser.

essentially, is it possible to make animated pictures last longer? Specifically, MMS pictures. I have received a few, and they last MAYBE 5-6 seconds before stopping. I can restart them, but then they only last maybe 4-5 seconds.
I know it's not related, but I did check my browser general properties, and have already set "repeat animations" to "as many as image specifies". MMS and SMS options have nothing that relates to the issue, nor does the Messaging app options.insight? feedback? have a coke and a smile and shut the f--- up?!?!
I just got the storm 2 and there are two things that annoy me, one is the enter button sends my text messages and on my curve that button made a new paragraph. My question is how do you drop down a line (make a new paragraph) when texting on the storm 2?I understand the OS 5.0.32 doesn't have the feature to turn off the enter button from sending, hope verizon releases an os update soon.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI tried to setup my email on my BB storm 2 just now and when I go to setup>setup wizard>email setup> I only get one option > " I want to use a work email account with a blackberry enterprise server" when I click next, it says "has your blackberry enterprise server administrator provided you with an enterprise activation password?"And no I was not provided with one, so I hit no>next> it then says "contact your system administrator to find out whether an enterprise activation password will be provided, or if you need to install the blackberry desktop software" I do have the BB desktop software installed.So how do I fix this? Do I have to setup my email from the BB desktop program that came with my phone?

My emails and SMS text messages were combined eliminating one icon to have on the main screen. I used to be able to go under options from the email icon and change that. I use comcast for email. I use verizon for cell service (BIS). If I get an email to one of my addresses and it is spam or an ad or something disposable, is it possible to delete it from my phone and have it delete from the mail server as well - meaning, when I finally get around to opening outlook to download my mail, I will not get the ones I've deleted from my phone? I have 4 email accounts on my first 2 rows. You know what I mean, right? How do you manage your accounts? Do you have separate email accounts on your screen? How do you combine them? This is really getting annoying. I have everything set to my Gmail, but it keeps going to a Yahoo addy that I want to slowly get away from. I am trying to get people to stop sending to it, but I still have it linked to my Ebay and thats why I want to keep it on the phone...so other than a total deletion of the address, what can I do? (Yes, in messaging service I have the Gmail chosen)

1.What i am still unsure of is which phone is better suited to Canadian phone companies neither will get 3g coverage but will one work better than the other like will they both get 2.5g coverage?

Ok. I have looked online. I have resent my service books. I have done battery pulls. I've done....everything. I called Verizon and they resent my service booka and re-registered my email address. Then she told me to check in the applications list and see if I had blackberry attachment loader of something like that. I wasn't at my computer but she assured me that that's all I needed. Said all I had to do was connect to the desktop manager and load it on. It wasn't there. I have no clue what I need to do but if someone can please help me get this fixed I would greatly appreciate it. I can't open any pics that people send me and its driving me up the wall.
View 12 Replies View RelatedI have read all I can on this issue and it hasn't helped. I have a strange and dare I say new fault with my 9520. I can't send or forward emails BUT I can reply to an email. I am on BIS with O2UK and when I try and send, the option is just not in the menu and the mail symbol (for send) remains greyed out when I try and send or forward what I compose or receive.
All other data services are working and I have sent service books a hundred times and even tried 3 different OS's after doing security wipe!
One of the main reasons I returned my Storm1 was because of how loud the constant clicking was to produce an email. The fact that I was typing/emailing on my device during a meeting was very noticeable to others in the room given the click-click-click-click-click. Is this still the case with the Storm2?
