how can I configure a (.edu ) type email for my school for my bb storm 2? I have no prior bb knowledge so I need help in the simplest way possible. Also where can I get/dl themes?
View 6 RepliesOne of the main reasons I returned my Storm1 was because of how loud the constant clicking was to produce an email. The fact that I was typing/emailing on my device during a meeting was very noticeable to others in the room given the click-click-click-click-click. Is this still the case with the Storm2?

My provider is O2de, and I have an unlimited data plan (that I verified was working when I couldn't get my browser to work) and I even pay €5 a month just because my phone is a BB. But when I try to get on the internet it says " your device does not currently have any Browser Configuration Service Book Entries. Please contact your service provider to enable the browser on your device".
I went and asked the next day, but they said everything is good on their end, and its a problem with my phone. Anyone have any idea of how to fix this? I cant send MMS because I don't have an email account registered because i cant do it without internet. Its really limiting what i can do with my phone.
i am having trouble switching themes on my Storm2. I just want to go with the other theme that came with the phone, but i am stuck on Zen. Any ideas?!
View 5 Replies View RelatedOk i have 2 storm 2s, on one the AOL Icon still shows up... *even after a battery pull* on the other my AOL icon has just turned into the standard email icon folder, black and white with the Globe underneath.... anyone know how to get the AOL Icon back on the phone? And what would cause it to fall off of one phone but stay on the other phone?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI tried to setup my email on my BB storm 2 just now and when I go to setup>setup wizard>email setup> I only get one option > " I want to use a work email account with a blackberry enterprise server" when I click next, it says "has your blackberry enterprise server administrator provided you with an enterprise activation password?"And no I was not provided with one, so I hit no>next> it then says "contact your system administrator to find out whether an enterprise activation password will be provided, or if you need to install the blackberry desktop software" I do have the BB desktop software installed.So how do I fix this? Do I have to setup my email from the BB desktop program that came with my phone?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI just upgraded the OS my Storm 2 from Blackberry/Verizon to .713 and now I have two icons on the main screen that I had set previously to combine. My emails and SMS text messages were combined eliminating one icon to have on the main screen. I used to be able to go under options from the email icon and change that. Now I can not find where to make this change back to one?

1. If I reply to an email on my BB, is there a way to get a copy of it on Outlook on my PC? I would like to have some sort of paper trail on my computer.
2. If I read an email on Outlook, is there a way to make it show that the email has been opened on my BB? For example, I had four emails in my mailbox. I read them all on Outlook and responded to them. Then I look at my BB and I had four new emails, thought I've already opened, read, and responded to them.
Is there a way to mark as opened on my BB without physically doing so?
How can I, on my S2, assign a specific alert from emails from a specific email address?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have been trying to figure out what delete 'on handheld' and 'on mailbox & handheld' mean. After some google and forum searches I am more confused. I use comcast for email. I use verizon for cell service (BIS). If I get an email to one of my addresses and it is spam or an ad or something disposable, is it possible to delete it from my phone and have it delete from the mail server as well - meaning, when I finally get around to opening outlook to download my mail, I will not get the ones I've deleted from my phone? I am sure this is a simple thing - but for some reason I get more and more confused the more I try to figure it out.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have 2 personal, 2 work, 2 miscellaneous email accounts. I combined the 2 personal into a "personal" folder, the 2 work in a "Work" folder and left the other 2 alone. I have 4 email accounts on my first 2 rows. You know what I mean, right? How do you manage your accounts? Do you have separate email accounts on your screen? How do you combine them? I know it is a personal preference but I am willing to try a new trick (even as an old dog!)

I think the email inbox would be so much more organized if email convos were threaded.
Guess it could be more complicated than sms, but it could definitely be done.

This is really getting annoying. I have everything set to my Gmail, but it keeps going to a Yahoo addy that I want to slowly get away from. I am trying to get people to stop sending to it, but I still have it linked to my Ebay and thats why I want to keep it on the phone...so other than a total deletion of the address, what can I do? (Yes, in messaging service I have the Gmail chosen)

Ok. I have looked online. I have resent my service books. I have done battery pulls. I've done....everything. I called Verizon and they resent my service booka and re-registered my email address. Then she told me to check in the applications list and see if I had blackberry attachment loader of something like that. I wasn't at my computer but she assured me that that's all I needed. Said all I had to do was connect to the desktop manager and load it on. It wasn't there. I have no clue what I need to do but if someone can please help me get this fixed I would greatly appreciate it. I can't open any pics that people send me and its driving me up the wall.
View 12 Replies View RelatedI have read all I can on this issue and it hasn't helped. I have a strange and dare I say new fault with my 9520. I can't send or forward emails BUT I can reply to an email. I am on BIS with O2UK and when I try and send, the option is just not in the menu and the mail symbol (for send) remains greyed out when I try and send or forward what I compose or receive.
All other data services are working and I have sent service books a hundred times and even tried 3 different OS's after doing security wipe!
I use Gmail.When I send an email, I get a confirmation or secondary message on the Storm 2.How do you stop this?I had the original Storm, and somehow fixed this issue. Can't figure out how to do it on the S2.

How do I stop the BB checking for emails on ONLY the hotmail account for example, or ONLY 1 x of the yahoo accounts without deleting them. I merely want to disable it temporarily, not delete it. once an email account is setup, where (how) do I need to go to change the email password stored for the account?

However, I still get no icon for the account.I read a similar post, and it was suggested to log on to the bis (?) server.I can still receive emails using the account, but cannot send without a way to get into it.I am on Vzw, and have never logged on to anything there or at BB that has to do with bis .

View 14 Replies View RelatedI have searched the forums for this and found only problems on the storm 1. I have just switched to the storm 2 after having the storm 1 for almost a year. With the storm 1 almost 95% of the time all I could get the phone to do was the default BB tone for sms,mms and email tones. No matter what I did. Now with storm 2, I thought i would finally have a phone that you could customize the alerts for sms,mms and email.Nope, 99% of the time, just the default tone for all three even with different tones selected and saved.

I went to tmobile to change the device (PIN and IMEI) but tmobile says "The information you have provided is not valid for this provider."Also, I can't update the host routing table. It's blank and registering doesn't do anything. APN is set to epc.tmobile.com.

Emails sent to me through those accounts can be significantly delayed in arriving to my BB. Sometimes a few minutes, but sometimes up to a half hour.
