I so love Opera now and the speed is amazing. Is there anyway to make it my default browser? When I click a link in an email it opens up the incredibly slow native BB browser. When I go into settings, the only choices are internet browser and hotspot browser.

I've read on the forums that the new bolt browser is the fastest but personally I'm not sure. I'd like to know from s2 owners so that all other different factors between different models of BB phones are held constant.
My BB browser home page currently defaults to a T-Mobile web'n'walk page. no matter what I set in the options, it is overridden when the page loads. I don't actually use it as my browser, but I do have a couple of launchers that require the default browser and when launched, they also end up being overridden and defaulting to this annoying home page, making any launchers completely useless.
I have a UK vodafone storm 2 9520. I'd quite like to have opera 5 mini beta on it .... I've read that it is very good.I tried to download it from the Opera site and it sent a link to my phone which took me to mini.opera.com said my phone model couldnt be detected and something about going to the opera site and using a desktop pc to download the file. I did this and ended up with a .alx and a .cod file. I've not been able to find a way to install them on my phone. I've copied them across and tried to run them and i've emailed the files to me to an email on the phone and it says file type not recognised.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI've noticed with the new S2 or 5.0 OS calendar, entries use the "default" calendar. Which is great, zero duplication, syncing is always accurate, etc, etc. But the "default" calendar does not have an associated email acct with it, so it doesn't allow you to "invite" anyone to the appointment. If you use one of your email accounts, you are then adding and additional calendar, then the games begin (problems). ??? Is there a way to continue using the default calendar and invite attendee's to meetings/appointments?

It is annoying that I have to hit the icon at the bottom left to make the number pad come up... and I often miss the call because the screen will not come up fast enough to hit 1 to receive it. Problem is the silver molding was all rough as if someone forgot to replace the molding. So I called it in. My 2nd replacement is brand new. The screen is very similiar in touch except I have to push down a little harder. My question is, does anyone know how to make it click easier? Also the screen is not as, "white," as the replacement and original. Thanks for any help...

It went from being frustratingly slow and almost unusable to lightning fast! Its so different I have been thinking of it as a whole new app.I used to use Opera Mini exclusively, and had even gone as far as to "hide" the icon for the bb browser, but that has all changed. I haven't even booted up OM in a couple of days. Has any one else noticed this incredible change? Is it the new BIS or was my it 517 upgrade? Most pages now load in less than 3 seconds!
