Mar 27, 2010Alright, so I posted something similar before, but now it's an evolved issue. When my contacts call me, the specified ringtone works. When the same contacts SMS me, it only plays the default tone I've chosen, not their specified tone. I've turned off encryption for contacts.

Mar 25, 2010My girlfriend has the Storm 2 and I gave her about 5gb of music. Now her phone seems to be crawling. Besides removing the sd card, is there any other fix? there's a few gb of picture files too.How can I optimize her phone? I personally have a windows mobile and I treat it like a computer. I open task manager and shut down all apps not being used. I have a file explorer to move files around. Can I do the same on the Storm? I want to move the ringtones I made onto her phone, not leave it on the sd card. Also, sometimes she download files or w.e onto her phone, not the sd card. How can I remove it? the delete option doesnt come up. any advice?

1.What i am still unsure of is which phone is better suited to Canadian phone companies neither will get 3g coverage but will one work better than the other like will they both get 2.5g coverage?
2. Also i have read that possibly the 9520 will be comin to rogers but i havnt heard anything recent on it does anyone have news on a release date or anything?
3. Right now i am thinkin of buyin the storm 9550 from telus and either goin with fido or terminate my contract with them and stay with telus or move to rogers. Is there a company that is better suited to the storm 2 or will either giv me 2.5g?

I figured I would find a view hidden files option but don't see it and I accidentally hid a spreadsheet I kinda need lol.

Mar 21, 2010I am trying to get my memopad reinstalled to me S2. I havent used it in the past few os updates, but find I need it now for various reasons. I have the .cod files saved to my desktop and have installed it several times in the past on my ( and my wifes phone) with no issues.
In the past when I installed a file with bbsak it would restart the phone with each file loaded. Now, it just blinks a white screen and gives me the installed successfully' messege, but when I check the device, it's nowhere to be found. I am on the .517 os and thought that might be the issue...so I decided to check out the other bbsak features and wiped my phone and reinstalled a 548/517 hybrid...no flaws with that, worked as usual. So bbsak seems to be fine.One last issue - when I connect me phone to the computer and run bbsak - I've been getting an error stating 'bbsak detected no device connected', but when I hit the ok, my pin is in and I'm able to do just about everything else - except load the .cod's

Jul 18, 2010Ever since I installed .713 OS my storm 2 keeps locking up for ten or fifteen seconds at a time.The little clock is in the middle of the screen and spinning. However, i realized i haven't gotten an email in a while (im normally good to get at least 3 an hour from reps in my field) So i looked into it and got on my laptop and checked. Sure enough i had 6 emails waiting there for me!! I don't know what i missed on the phone but i am not getting any emails!! May 5, 2010I am totally brand new towards BB.Recently i had spent about 2 to 3 weeks reading from the forum about 9700 and storm 9520.I myself prefered getting the storm as i want to use the phone more on internet browsing.After reading tonnes of threads, i got to be even more confuse. It seems there are alot of ppl hating this device and alot of ppl loving this device.I guess it has alot to do with the firmware tat each storm is running on. I dun intend to complicates the device and only wish to serve net, bbm, msn, fb with ease. So mostly i might not be getting any 3rd party apps as i am afraid of causing the device to cease normal operations.
My frens had been asking me to get the iphone but i do not wan to be seen carrying the charger all around juz to charge the phone twice a day.My gf is currently using a 9700, but i feel the screen is too small for internet browsing.I had another 1.5 mths more to go for making the decision of getting storm 2. I really hope those verteran user of storm 2 could give me some advice on shd i get storm 2?Or is there a better option for other phone which might serve for my purposes better?Another thing is tat i had seen ppl asking about is the clicking sound could it be disable even with the latest firmware upgrade?
