BB Bold :: The Text Icon Disappeared And Do Not Receive Notifications Of New Text Messages
Aug 27, 2012The text icon disappeared and I do not receive notifications of new text messages. The only way I can find a text is to locate the sender in my Contacts.

Apr 10, 2010I just got my phone yesteday and I started downloading apps. I woke up this morning and the App World icon is gone. I've checked all the folders and I didn't accidentally move it. I've tried reinstalling it, but it still won't show up. I've rebooted the phone with QuickPull and nothing has changed.I'm also having the issue that some of the apps I emailed to my hotmail account won't click thru to the AppWorld either.Basically AppWorld is messed up, but reboots and reinstalls haven't worked.

Mar 10, 2010I have a Blackberry Storm 9530 running v5.0.0.328.Email icon has dissapeared, but message counter rises into the hundreds or thousands, and getting several "uncaught exception" notifications when something doesn't open, which is frequent.Have tried battery pulls, cache emptying and resending service books. Nothing.Would wipe, but can't seem to back up Blackberry (desktop Manager gives me "Failed to connect to device" or "error backing up databases").

Jan 15, 2012I've had my Blackberry for a few weeks and it's been fine, however the battery went flat yesterday and when I recharged it and switched it back on the text message icon had dissappeared, so I have no way of seeing text messages. I also don't seem to be receiving texts now either!

Apr 8, 2012I have somehow lost the icon for "contacts". My contacts are still there, I can find them by searching but don't have an icon on my home page (or anywhere else) to click on to add new contacts or find old ones. Can anyone advise what I've done? I've tried synching with my laptop but that hasn't brought the icon back, and I've powered off. I backed up to the cloud earlier but am a bit bothered about trying a full restore! Besides, the contacts icon was missing when I last backed up, so it probably wouldn't come back anyway!

Jun 7, 2010When setting ring tone adjustments through the ring icon or when editing the contacts folder too quickly, the folder disappears from the main screen and is always replaced by the yellow pages app. I have searched all folders and it cannot be located. However, the info can be accessed by telephone or e-mail settings. If I pull the battery and reboot it is restored. Bell told me that it was a hardware issue, but replacing the phone still has the same issue. I have finger mobility issues, so I tried assorted battery pull and restart apps, but either they just don't work on the 9550 or they only work once. Hopefully when OS6 is released this will be remedies, unless any one can suggest one.
