While on my phone today it rebooted itsself. Once it came back on, my messaging message icon was gone and I can no longer text or receive texts or tweets. I have taken the battery out and this has not helped. I currently have a Storm 9530.

The text messaging icon on my Curve 8900 just disappeared. I do not have combined email and text messaging, when I reboot I get a message that says error on java or something like that. All my messages have disappeared, I have run diagnostics and can't think of anything elso to do.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have an unusual issue I would like some assistance on since I just got a blackberry, I have the Curve 2 8530. I use Total Call Blocking with my carrier so that when I call anyone my number is automatically blocked / restricted. Therefore, in my contact list, I have my friends or family contacts listed with the *82 in front of the number to unblock for those people. This works fine for phone calls.
However, on Text Messaging / Picture Messaging, the *82 will cause these messages to fail. I am used to LG phones, you have the ability to edit the number while creating a message, before your send one of these messages. The problem I am having is when I send a Text Message / Picture Message it appears from the blackberry as only the 10 digit number (even though the contact has *82 in front of it)...and the message shows it is sent (with the check mark) but it NEVER received.
I have a Nokia 3230. Yesterday, I suddenly realized that the Messaging Icon had vanished from the menu. I can still access my messages using the in-built shortcut in Go-to, but not having the icon in the menu is very irritating.
View 11 Replies View RelatedSince the latest lolly update, the "chat service" has disappeared as an option from the stock messaging app. The one where your texts were coloured yellow if they were being sent over the internet rather than an SMS. This is very frustrating, as I was just extolling the virtues of this feature to my wife who has the Z3C, I have the Z3. She raves about What'sApp you see. Now "Chat" is gone! It's not even in the settings menu as "enable chat service" anymore... Have deleted data from app etc to no avail. It has gone from both our 'phones BTW.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen setting ring tone adjustments through the ring icon or when editing the contacts folder too quickly, the folder disappears from the main screen and is always replaced by the yellow pages app. I have searched all folders and it cannot be located. However, the info can be accessed by telephone or e-mail settings. If I pull the battery and reboot it is restored. Bell told me that it was a hardware issue, but replacing the phone still has the same issue. I have finger mobility issues, so I tried assorted battery pull and restart apps, but either they just don't work on the 9550 or they only work once. Hopefully when OS6 is released this will be remedies, unless any one can suggest one.

I've checked all the folders and I didn't accidentally move it. I've tried reinstalling it, but it still won't show up. I've rebooted the phone with QuickPull and nothing has changed.I'm also having the issue that some of the apps I emailed to my hotmail account won't click thru to the AppWorld either.Basically AppWorld is messed up, but reboots and reinstalls haven't worked.

View 4 Replies View RelatedSo all of the sudden my SMS messages are just coming up as phone numbers instead of contacts names, when yesterday they were displaying the names. I check to make the sure the numbers match under the contacts and they still do. I tried doing a battery pull and when the phone rebooted all of my contacts had disappeared. I checked the filters and none of them are checked, and as the other threads for this topic state, I tried to disable content control but I cant. I cant even find the general options section under security options. Is it different on the storm then it is on other BB's? Really confused right now. Also, there are no contacts saved to the SIM card.
PS. Running 5.0.0.328
in the settings on s4 it had a signature block so everytime I sent a text, it was there but not on this phone
View 20 Replies View RelatedI got a text this morning from my sister and it has been repeating endlessly all day, I've had it about 700 times now and it's still popping up as a new message. I have to keep my phone on silent and turn notifications off just to get some peace and save the battery.

I started using my new iphone 4s yesterday but can not send any text messages to my contacts. I mannaged to get an iMessage to another iphone user but normal text messages to anyone who is not using iMessage won't go through. I have tried switching the phone off, taking out the sim, and a few other things in settings, but so far nothing has worked. Should the numbers in my contacts all include country code perhaps? I am in Australia.

I've been texting fine from my new 9900 for many days Suddenly, whenever I text anything, all those messages of mine come under one "ME" and all of the reciever's messages are clubbed under their name. It's not showing up like a proper conversation, just two titles (my name and the reciever's name) with all of our texts in order. This is really annoying, and I want it back to how it was - normal.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI removed my memory card to upload some pics to my computer cause my usb port does not work anymore and since I didn't get around to doing this quickly, I've been using the phone without the memory card. It has been a week and not one instance of freezing up. I put my card in about 2 hours ago just to see if it was fixed and it just now froze again. This obviously is not a solution but it leads me to believe that probably an app or some misc thing on my card is causing this. There is plenty of memory left on the card by the way. Now if I could only find the right settings to install hotmail, rocketmail (yahoo), ovi and gmail mail boxes. I have the issue where the mail boxes never appear after setup.

Is there a setting where every text conversation is by itself not tied in to previos texts?
