Jan 12, 2011I tried to follow the advice of going to Options -> Advanced Options -> Applications and deleting them there, but there is no Applications button in the Adv Opt menu!!!

BB Storm 9530/9500 :: Importing 3rd Party Apps From Old Storm To New
Jan 6, 2010So my old, wine covered Storm is gone and I got a brand new replacement from Telus today. Hurray! I backed up the old phone and restored it backup on the new one, but all my third party apps are gone (Telus told me that they should transfer, but I was skeptical). Is there anyway to get these back without having to re-download them all? There's two or three that I actually paid for... it would suck to have to re-buy them!
I'm looking at BlackBerry Desktop Manager, and there's an option to import 3rd party apps from the old phone to the new one, but you need to have both phones at the same time I think. Not too handy!
BB Storm 9500 :: Lost Preloaded Premium Apps On Storm 2
May 19, 2010I recently bought Storm 2 from M1 Singapore and it was pre loaded with few premium games (can remember Tetris). Anyway after I attached the device to desktop manager it went for auto OS update and while doing the phone hanged and became unusable.I followed some forum here and managed to make it working back by downloading the default device software by M1 site installing it on my desktop and then use Loader to restore things back.
Surprisingly the phone was working fine but all my premium games were lost. I approached to M1 and they reloaded the same OS again but it was same as the one on web and my premium games were lost.
I called the hotline support and it was even more funny that after talking so long they followed up next day with some freeware site link and asking me to download it from there. It does not exist.Is there anyone here from Singapore who can list the name of games and apps which comes preloaded on their Storm 2 from M1. Can I get the OTA link?

Jun 16, 2010I had a picture that I sent with BBM. After chat cleared and ended I tried to delete the pic but keeps saying file is in use. I have tried over and over to delete including powering off and removing the battery for several minutes then trying again but still no luck.

Jan 25, 2011I am no longer able to delete the messages and notifications I am receiving from Facebook.Sometimes the FB icons are faded, but not all of them are. I am not able to remove either type using my delete options on the phone. If one of them is in the selection, nothing in the selection will delete either.

Oct 21, 2011I received a call from a fax machine and since I couldn't take the call it went into my voice mail. I have not been able to successfully delete using #7 as the phone does not recognize. Actually, no key function works, it just says try again later. This prevents me from getting to the messages following that fax. Can you delete all message somehow through a reset for voice mail?

Dec 6, 2010Ever since I downloaded the newest version (1.9.0.20) of Facebook to my BB Storm 9530, I have been unable to delete messages from my Message folder. I can delete the from the Facebook folder but they will reappear & I have to continually delete them. However, I have messages dating back to early November (when I just downloaded the newer FB version last week) on my phone that I can not delete at all & they are beginning to pile up. I have contacted my carrier (Verizon) and I have contacted Facebook but no one seems to know what the problem is.

Mar 12, 2010I've searched high and low for people posting about a similar experience, but after trying several different suggested methods, nothing seems to work.First off, I have a Napter-to-Go membership that I use exclusively on my Storm.This type of setup requires that I plug my Storm in and sync it to Napster every month or so in order to validate the DRM on each song. I noticed about a month ago that even after plugging my phone in and syncing that some files were not being validated (they won't play at all).
I was told that my best bet would be to reformat the card (specifically remove the music file) and start fresh.Unfortunately I've attempted doing this on several levels, including:
- Manually deleting every song via Napster (didn't work)
- Accessing JUST the memory card and attempting to delete the music folder AND after that failed (told me something about write protection) I attempted to reformat the entire card, which also failed.
- Using Blackberry Desktop Manager and attempting to delete said music via the Roxio program, which only froze after I attempted to access a listing of my music.

I press and hold the icon, it wiggles, I press the X and the X highlights but then my screen freezes and I have to press and hold the lock key to go to my lock screen. It doesnt matter what app I try it with-- the app is still there. My restrictions are all off.

Oct 15, 2011I have had my BB Storm for approx 18 months now and on and off for the past week or so I have been experiencing some difficulties with different aspects of it. These are:Facebook App - I haven't been getting any notifications come through on my phone and sometimes the newsfeed is a few hours behind. Internet Browser - With the FB app not working I have tried to go to the mobile site which has taken forever to load then comes up "Server Unavailable". I have then tried to go to other websites and have found the same issue.
BB App World - I went to see if there were upgrades available on App World thinking there could be a glitch with the current FB thats available but it comes up " Blackberry App World is having trouble connecting to the Blackberry App World server. Verify your network connections and try again" so I am unable to do anything in app world whatsoever. The top of my phone shows that I have coverage in my current area so I don't know what else I can do to try and verify my network connection.Emails - usually (before approx 2 weeks ago) i would receive instantly but I have been noticing 24 hour+ delays lately.

May 17, 2010It seems like to load any app into my BB storm 2 device you need an active internet connection in your device. I don't have internet surfing facility in my mobile. The plan I am in with my carrier allows unlimited mails and chat. Is there any way I could load apps through my PC into my device. Most apps that I tried won't allow this, they need the app link to be clicked from the device rather than from a PC?
