Feb 6, 2010I have an unlocked TELUS Storm playing GSM on a Philippines carrier called Smart. The data connection and call reception quality here has been nothing but horrible. Dropped calls/Calls failed, etc are pretty rampant around here (no matter what part of town you're in)
Anyway, I'd _like_ to think it may be something to do with the fact that the device is not Smart authorized/sold device. However, the backward nature of cellphone networks here could argue me down.
Long story short, now that you know my troubles.. when I'm on a full GPRS/EDGE connection, I pull up the browser. Once I start getting ready to type in a URL, the GPRS/EDGE goes to gprs/edge. It happens about 98% of the time. This same thing happens when I go to URL from an email/sms etc. I can't seem to figure it out. I've been on .328, but upgrading to .419 as we speak. Thoughts would be nice.

Feb 10, 2010I got a the blackberry storm 2 9550 and I had it unlock to work on tmobile network and my email and internet is working but any 3 party app the need use the Internet won't work. When I try to use myspace or ubertwitter my EDGE go upper case to Lower case. But if I use my email or the web browsers it work just fine. I typing this up on my storm now. My apn is set wap.voicesteam.com . I need to know is there any way to fix this so I can use 3 party apps.

The camera screen appears, and at the top of the camera screen is the settings gearwheel icon along with Auto, Off, HDR On and Effect.But, when tapping the settings gearwheel icon the Camera Settings menu appears for a fraction of a second before the screen reverts. I can't get at the Camera Settings no matter how many times I try; the menu is on for an instant - then gone, and the screen is as before.

Sep 16, 2015I recently bought a Galaxy S6 Edge and am really liking it so far. However the one thing (so far) that I don't like is that I cannot use a 3rd party application to listen to my voice mails. My provider sends my voice messages as an AMR attachment in an MMS. When playing the AMR attachment the default app is sound player (I think), which plays the audio through the external speaker. With other phones I have had great success with WavPlayer which allows switching between the external speaker and the ear speaker. It will even allow you to switch automatically if it detects you raising the phone to your ear.
In short I want to use WavPlayer instead of the default app for listening to my voicemails from the messages app but have not figured out how to accomplish this.

Sometimes I get edge, sometimes nothing at all (either "X" or OFF). I've to turn my BB off for few seconds, turn it back on, then I get EDGE. Does anybody know why this happens?

BB Storm :: Email Settings In 9530 - Handset Not Registered
Mar 25, 2011I have recently purchased a storm 9530 unlocked (previously was registered with verizon wireless). I have a blackberry plan from a different service provider. Everything seems to be working fine except the email, where it says the set is not registered. I have registered it by going to advanced options-host routing table and then registered it. I even got a message from my service provider which says that my wireless handset has been registered.
Still I am getting the same message - the set is not registered, go to options - advanced options - host routing table and register. Also the BB app world is not downloading on to the set. The icon is there but when I click it the web browser opens and nothing happens. There's just white screen with blackberry written as in when you open a BB browser.
