I can't seem to find the settings button in the Google app. I want to make some changes to OK Google.I want to enable OK Google from any screen. Even when the screen is locked. I don't want to have to open the Google app or tap on the widget to use OK Google.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI open the camera on the Galaxy S6 Edge by pressing the camera icon. The camera screen appears, and at the top of the camera screen is the settings gearwheel icon along with Auto, Off, HDR On and Effect.But, when tapping the settings gearwheel icon the Camera Settings menu appears for a fraction of a second before the screen reverts. I can't get at the Camera Settings no matter how many times I try; the menu is on for an instant - then gone, and the screen is as before.

Sometimes remind me of reminders on certain times (Sometimes), but on location example my address it will not. My Note 4 and google notifications always worked, location and time.
Is there something I have to turn on, or S6 doesn't do this?

Every time I try to use it it says network error has occurred. then when I tried to follow directions I found on youtube : activating the video calling option under "advance call" options I have found I don't have "advanced call" options on my phone?why would the option not be there? how do I get my advance call options?

View 5 Replies View RelatedJust made the switch from iPhone to Samsung S6 Edge. Therefore I decided to leave iTunes behind and switch to Google Music. I transferred all my music to Google Music and works great from my laptop. The problem is when I try to listen to my music on Google Music from my phone. It only allows me to listen to all of it if I am on wifi. But if I enable the "downloaded only" option only a few of them downloaded. The other ones are grayed out and can't play them unless I am connected to wifi. I have already spent several days trying to make this work! - Yes! I am logged in with the same google account on my laptop and phone.

I've sent several crash reports, no use. I've factory reset the phone, no use. Took it to Samsung service, no use.
They've reinstalled all Google apps, no use. The odd thing is, my S5 mini duos handles G+ Locations with no problem.
I was using Google maps today and its showing my location 5 km from my home when I'm sitting at home! I've tried hi accuracy mode in the settings, wiped the cache, ininstalled maps. All without success. Even Google earth is reporting the wrong location. what I can do to resolve it? Factory reset? How good a job does the restore feature on the pc version of smart switch do at restoring the phone?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI seem to have developed a strange problem since the update to 5.1.1 a couple of days ago. When I connect to my Edge via bluetooth, and use Google Play Music, there is a beep in the background and the music stutters and then continue playing, then about 30 seconds later it happens again...it coninues for about 10 to 15 minutes then the problem disappeared entirely. I don't believe it is entirely Google Play Music because I paused Google Play Music and the beeping continued in the background. ......perhaps the bluetooth connection? I haven't been able to reproduce the error but it has happened twice.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy friend and I are both experiencing huge background data usage with the Google Backup Transport service that is part of Google Play Services.
My S6 Edge on 5.1.1 has been steadily increasing it's consumption of background data with this service over the last month and it's currently sitting at having used over 1.7GB.
My friend's Galaxy S4 on 5.0.1 is experiencing almost exactly the same data consumption over the exact same period of time. Something is deffo up with this but what it is.
Some old solutions I've read online include disabling background sync etc. but this isn't a solution and doesn't explain what it had been fine up until this month.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have the Verizon S5 SM-G900V running 5.0, I use OK google to set up things like the days I work, Where I'm working, Who I'm working for, Dr. Appointments etc. Well when setting up these things using OK google voice command it automatically defaults to reminding only 15 minutes before the event. I need a full day notice so if someone asks me a day before hand if I'm available the next day I'll already know. Instead as it is right now if I forget I have Dr appointment it only gives 15 minutes notice and with my Dr being 45 min drive away this is just not sufficient. (MORE DETAIL) I am in fact using the google calendar on my phone and not the samsung calendar.
I have went to google calendar on my laptop clicked on the gear and went to calendar settings and changed that to default 1 day for both settings listed there and saved. I know this won't change past submissions but it didn't default to 1 day on new submissions on OK google. I even manually synced the calendar and tried again. The old phone I had (LG Exceed 2) allowed me to set a setting in the calendar settings to default events to remind 1 day in advance. But no matter where I go in the S5 (google settings,calendar settings, OK google settings) Or even web calendar settings I can't find a way to make it work?? This is a big nuisance for me to have to manually change it every time.
I just wanted to ask if there is some app or something to make my edge glow while screen off.

As there is no physical key on the LG G3, how I can access this menu. It also contains the apps settings as well....
1. My settings app has disappeared from my Nexus 5. I was running Lollipop with an unlocked/rooted phone (done with the excellent Nexus root toolkit).
2. I tried to factory reset the phone but the settings app is still missing. I cannot install or sideload anything because everything requires USB debugging to be turned on, which requires me to change the Settings!
So for the Google camera apps when you taking a picture, do you usually leave a flash on automatic setting or on always setting? I have known as in them settings or sometimes even at night time before you tap the screen wants to manually focus the flash doesn't go off
View 10 Replies View RelatedI was running a website online that says if you have adaptive brightness turned on to non set your brightness turned into minimal level because it'll make the screen go blank and dark pretty much. For all the people on the forum that have adapter brightness turned on, what is your brightness level setting at? Mines at about at say 35 percent or as it lines up with the Wi-Fi symbol on the quick toggle settings menu.

Is there an app available that will allow you to modify the quick settings menu on stock Android? My phone is rooted so but otherwise it's stock. I don't miss the instability of CyanogenMod, just that one feature, so I don't want to install a custom ROM, I just want to add a couple of things to the quick settings menu.
