I got a the blackberry storm 2 9550 and I had it unlock to work on tmobile network and my email and internet is working but any 3 party app the need use the Internet won't work. When I try to use myspace or ubertwitter my EDGE go upper case to Lower case. But if I use my email or the web browsers it work just fine. I typing this up on my storm now. My apn is set wap.voicesteam.com . I need to know is there any way to fix this so I can use 3 party apps.
My browser and email stopped working about 3 days ago and I spent almost a whole day on the phone with support, no help. They had me do everything including delete all my service books and now there is nothing in the host routing table. They finally said, we cant help. My phone is stuck on lower case edge and I cant get data.
i have a unlocked blackberry storm for tmobile i can send and recieve texts and the internet works fine, however when i try to call it says no channel/circuit avaliable. i went to india for a few weeks and calling worked just fine there is there any way to fix this problem?
So my old, wine covered Storm is gone and I got a brand new replacement from Telus today. Hurray! I backed up the old phone and restored it backup on the new one, but all my third party apps are gone (Telus told me that they should transfer, but I was skeptical). Is there anyway to get these back without having to re-download them all? There's two or three that I actually paid for... it would suck to have to re-buy them!
I'm looking at BlackBerry Desktop Manager, and there's an option to import 3rd party apps from the old phone to the new one, but you need to have both phones at the same time I think. Not too handy!
Had a storm for a while, just got a storm 2 on Verizon using BES. On my storm I had the ability to tie in with my yahoo mail account by adding a new email address - yet on the 2, the option to add a 3rd party mail program is no longer there - and only can use BB internet service for mail. Is there no way to add 3rd party mail now without using their forwarding service directly?
Always maintained a very strong 3g signal, 5 bars always no matter where I was. The last 3 or 4 days my signal started dropping like crazy to EDGE - edge - to gps or whatever to no signal. Did everything to try and fix it. Called T-Mobile about the problem and they said no problem we are sending you a new 9700. I will have it Wednesday afternoon. I asked if it will be a new one or refurbished, she said a new one. You can't beat that with a stick. They have the best customer service out of all the carriers. Just wanted to tell my recent experience with my carrier.
I just unlock the BB Storm 2 9550 and I can't see the MMS meaning that I can't send or receive picture messaging? Can anyone help me out please??? I have service with t-mobile by the way.
My black berry storm i just bought unlocked and got it hooked up to web from tmobile is running super slow!!!! Need help it goes eventually but takes forever.... Do i have to have the black berry data package or maybe change some settings...
Hey guys i have a unlocked bb storm 9530. i am currently using it with tmobile but i cant seem to get the captal EDGE and all the apps that require data are not working such as facebook, ebay etc. is there any OS' that u guys are using that can fix this problem?
I am running with OS v5.0.0.328. All 3rd party apps (google maps, gmail, Facebook 1.6, opera, etc...), text messages, phone calls, and browsing on BB's native browser work with no problems when using the data connection. About an hour or so later, all the 3rd party apps have data connection failures yet text messages, phone calls, and browsing on BB's native browser still work fine. If I pull the battery the 3rd party apps will still work fine using the data connection until about an hour or so later and it stops again (requiring another battery pull).
I have an unlocked TELUS Storm playing GSM on a Philippines carrier called Smart. The data connection and call reception quality here has been nothing but horrible. Dropped calls/Calls failed, etc are pretty rampant around here (no matter what part of town you're in)
Anyway, I'd _like_ to think it may be something to do with the fact that the device is not Smart authorized/sold device. However, the backward nature of cellphone networks here could argue me down.
Long story short, now that you know my troubles.. when I'm on a full GPRS/EDGE connection, I pull up the browser. Once I start getting ready to type in a URL, the GPRS/EDGE goes to gprs/edge. It happens about 98% of the time. This same thing happens when I go to URL from an email/sms etc. I can't seem to figure it out. I've been on .328, but upgrading to .419 as we speak. Thoughts would be nice.

Im currently using the 9530 from verizon and was thinking about selling it and getting a 9500 cuz i have t-mobile and im tired of the EDGE/edge problem.....I was just curious if any of you happen to know if the 9500 has the EDGE/edge problem that the 9530 has with T-Mobile.
I have an unlocked iphone 4s on tmobile's network. I have a micro sim card in the phone, from tmobile, and am only getting EDGE not 3G and i'm in a 3G area. I was told i could get 3S with an unlocked phone. Is there a way to do this so i'm on 3G and not EDGE?
My Storm 1 crashed Sunday night with message on screen stating 'Reload Softwares 552'. I called Verizon Tech Support and they just ended up giving me a brand new Storm 2 for free! All I had to do was re-sign my contract for another two years. Gonna miss my Storm 1 but the Storm 2 is sweet! Just got it today. Anyone wanting to upgrade, try using that excuse.
Any thoughts on whether its worth the extra money to buy the 3G versus 2G when I am only using it for the phone and apps? There difference is about $200 for an unlocked 2G versus $330 for a 3G. I also have several apps programs that I used on my ipod touch that I will use on the iphone.
I have just recently purchased an HTC HD2 from Tmobile USA and got it unlocked to use it on Wind Mobile here in Canada. So far the phone is great but was wondering if anyone knew how to get rid of the Tmobile garbage that is on the phone. I would like to set my music as ringtones, set Wind Mobile as an APN to use data and tether, etc, etc. I dont want a phone that will be similar to the garbage phones Canadians get all the time here.
My husband purchased me an unlocked IPhone 4S. My sim card from my current cell phone is too large to fit in my new Iphone. My current cell phone carrier is Tmobile. Should I go to the tmobile store and purchase a smaller Sim card?
My N97 has US AT&T 3g radio frequencies. I have a T-mobile sim card with unlimited data and an AT&T card with very limited data.With an AT&T sim card the N97 talks to the AT&T USA towers at "3.5G" speeds no problem. Beauty!But when I put my T-mobile sim card in it it will only connect to T-mobile towers. It sees that there is a T-mobile tower and an ATT tower no problem but it will only talk to the tmo tower.
If there is no T-mo tower it will connect to the ATT tower but it will not be at 3G just edge.I have tried to enter the apn settings manually but i am tripping up somewhere.Called T-mo and tier 3 tech support said that she could see no reason why it should not work. I pressed to find out if T-mo provisioned their sims to work at 3G soeeds ONLY on t-mo towers but she said that that was not the case.
N97 user manual mentions apn alterations being contingent on a PIN2 number coming off the sim card, but that did not sound tright to t-mo support. Am i missing a very obvious thing like a switch called "turn on data roaming" ? My Nexus1 has that.
I have been waiting for the hand held software 5.0 to be released for about 3 months now. Every other company is way ahead and already moving onto the next software update. The other versions for my 8520 from other carriers do not show up on the application loader, even after completing every step. T-mobile needs to step its game up.
I have a Tmobile branded BB 8520 unlocked and i put a att sim card in it. I have a data plan with att. It only shows small edge on the top by the service bar 'edge' I want to make the bb messenger work on this phone.
i just cut up a verizon sim card and inserted it into the phone and it says no sim card. i didnt cut any of the gold contact. i have a regular tmobile sim that is active and i wanna use it in my iphone 4 but im worried if i cut it up its not gonna work
