I own a storm 9500 phone. It works fine on os v4.7 but after upgrading to version 5.0 I find I am unable to open my SMS messages, I receive them, but I cat open them to view. Also if I try to compose SMS, after entering the number or contact, once I click OK , everything goes off, I don't get to the SMS editing screen.

composing or reading sms in the OS 5.0 for Storm 9500. I have update to this new OS few days ago and since then I have this constant problem, cannot read the new sms, or compose new sms since everything gets back in the last thread. I have to delete each time the sms in order to read or sent new ones. I have wiped and reload the OS several time but the problem persists..

View 3 Replies View RelatedA few weeks ago I bought my first Blackberry - Storm 9500, Grade A on ebay.Last week on holiday I left it in the glove box of the car for a couple of days and the touch screen stopped working. I could scroll and highlight but nothing would open.
Returning from my holiday I looked online and realised there was a reset button behind the battery cover.I pressed this last night and the phone worked perfectly again.
However this morning the phone was back to the same issue and now pressing that button does nothing.This is a full description of the issues;Green button works. Red button works, Return button works. Mebu button works. Handset lock button works.Camera button does not function.Volume up and down buttons do not function.Touch screen will scroll on menu and highlights apps, but upon clicking nothing opens.
So although I can press the gree button to answer a call - I can't make a call because I can't select a contact or numbers to dial.
I have bought a USB lead to see if the phone needs an update or to see if I can reset it but i've never connected a phone to my PC before so I'll have to look at it in the morning with the manual.I have personal data on the phone which I must remove if I end up sending it back - I expected to be able to use all the functions of the phone via my PC.
When I try to open a saved .pdf file on my storm 9520 I get the message "Unable to display file/Device/Memory/ name of the file.pdf. I have already tried to update the phone but there were no improvements.

When I review emails in the internet account and then compose an email, the blackberry now populates the send using field with the default corporate account. That's new behavior of the BIS according to my ATT support contact. I can't go back to the previous behavior where it just populated the send using field with whatever account I was reading at the time. Anyone know of a workaround? It's a pain to change the send using field every time I write an email from my internet account.

View 5 Replies View RelatedSince upgrading iOS, every time I try to compose an email through mail I'm finding the screen "bounces" whilst typing. Also when I get below the level of my keypad I can no longer see what I'm typing. I try scrolling the screen up but as soon as I let go of the screen it returns to its previous position. The keypad no longer hides either so I can review more of the email at once. I've checked my gmail up and that still functions perfectly so feel it must be an iOS problem.

Wheni compose an email the first two letters of his email pop up.Exmaple. in the compose an email field I want to write an email to GD-George Dunn so i type GD and the email address of a deleted contact Gemma Dirosso (Gdirosso@gail.com) pops up first. I had deleted her on my bb and outlook yet only her email address pops up. my Blackberry Curve 8530 CANNOT compose new emails: it can reply to emails that people have sent me, it can compose emails to people whose emails I already have saved, yet if I try to "Compose Email" and enter a new address, it can only "Save Draft." Not only that, I can't email or MMS any of my photos either-- either TO a new email, or a preexisting contact/email--the only way to get them off of my phone is if I "send to Facebook," or copy them to my computer using a micro-USB cord.A battery pull has NOT worked. I've also already come across people posting on other sites about the same problem (and there seems to be a similar issue with the 8520). I've come across other websites suggesting that the problem may be to an issue with the OS (I'm currently on v5.0.0.654 Bundle 1108, Platform 4.2.0.298; I certainly haven't downloaded/installed any new Apps since this happened), and that downgrading/changing to a different OS may be necessary to fix/troubleshoot the issue, I just don't recall which website that was, nor do I know how to change the OS on my own (if I remember correctly, it just updates itself automatically, which probably would explain why this seemed to happen out of the blue).
