I just got this phone today..im having an issue with the text messages..When I go to open a text the screen has the persons callback number on the side and the rest of the screen goes black,with a tiny window for typing at the top but the keyboard comes and goes..how can i remove the contacts callback number form this window and make my typing window bigger? why does the background turn black?

firstly the camera shutter cannot open to take photo and now can open but the screen is black, what and how should i do to take photo, I did try to search methods to try but it did not workout on my iphone.

I'm having problem with my storm phone ever since it was dropped in water. I left it to dry for a week. Since then I replaced my battery and the phone came on with the clock and then the screen showed up. and could not do anything. Then the screen went black. Now when I try to recharge it only a green light appears and nothing else. Did I kill my battery and is the phone no longer good or it's just my screen and i can replace it.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have had my Blackberry Torch now for about 10months and last week i think i may have got it slightly wet after i tried to answer the phone when getting out of the bath. Since then it has been ok but last night when i slid open the screen everything went black. As soon as i slide the screen shut it works again! This basically means that i can only use the phone as a touch screen phone when it is down (which isn't good for me as I always text using the keypad when it is slided open).I called o2 and they said before they send it off to be repaired that i should try upgrading all of the latest BB software as that might fix it. I have never had any upgrades but will this really be able to fix my screen? Is there any other way i can try and fix the phone myself?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a Storm 9530 (Verizon), My screen went black today, I can't see anything to do anything. I tried to do a backup to my PC but it kept disconnecting, then connecting. So then I tried to update it, and it did the same thing, the update got part of the way through and stopped because it was waiting for me to "initiaize device", so I just started tapping the screen hoping something would happen (can't see anyhting rememeber) nothing did! I have taken the battery out too many times to count today, trying to figure this out. I even took it out and left it out for over an hour. Any ideas on how I can get my phone back?

I took apart the storm connected up the screen an then screwed it back up. When I now turn the Blackberry on the back light turns on but the screen remains black. View 4 Replies View RelatedA few weeks ago I bought my first Blackberry - Storm 9500, Grade A on ebay.Last week on holiday I left it in the glove box of the car for a couple of days and the touch screen stopped working. I could scroll and highlight but nothing would open.
Returning from my holiday I looked online and realised there was a reset button behind the battery cover.I pressed this last night and the phone worked perfectly again.
However this morning the phone was back to the same issue and now pressing that button does nothing.This is a full description of the issues;Green button works. Red button works, Return button works. Mebu button works. Handset lock button works.Camera button does not function.Volume up and down buttons do not function.Touch screen will scroll on menu and highlights apps, but upon clicking nothing opens.
So although I can press the gree button to answer a call - I can't make a call because I can't select a contact or numbers to dial.
I have bought a USB lead to see if the phone needs an update or to see if I can reset it but i've never connected a phone to my PC before so I'll have to look at it in the morning with the manual.I have personal data on the phone which I must remove if I end up sending it back - I expected to be able to use all the functions of the phone via my PC.

When I receive a new message (sms or mms) from a specific contact, the message shows in my text message folder (along with others I've received and am able to open and see), but when I open it to read the full message, it just shows the grey screen and all previous messages also doesn't show.I've deleted the entire conversation and would be able to read 1 or 2 new messages afterwards and then at some point when I receive or send a new message, everything will dissappear again.I've removed the battery, marked all as unopened, changed options settings such as combine sequintial, autoscale images, leave messages on sim, etc. but nothing works.

I can't find it anywhere! Also, when a text does come, the actual message quickly scrolls across the black bar at the top of the home screen..can I remove this? View 1 Replies View RelatedI am helping out a friend who has a Nokia 6280. She claimed that it's infected by a virus because her problems started after using a Bluetooth headset. I don't quite believe this as I've heard it's more likely to be struck by lightning than to have this phone infected with a virus. Anyhow, the problem is the following: When you power on the phone, you get the Nokia handshake, then the phone loads. However, as soon as the phone loads, a bunch of black lines appear to streak across the screen rendering it black. That's not a huge issue because it goes away after a few seconds. Now I've read this could be an issue related to the ribbon that connects to the screen, but the screen turning black does not occur in any other instance other than right after when the main screen appears. I can play with the slider all day and nothing will happen, but like clockwork the problem appears after the phone loads.What gives? The phone works fine otherwise, so what could the problem be? If you need any more information I will be happy to provide. I've uploaded a video of this issue here (using my 5800 XpressMusic at night - the quality isn't that great sorry, but it does show the problem). Pardon the audio - my kids were watching Spongebob Squarepants so you might want to turn the audio all the way down! I guess my question is two-fold:
1) can this in fact be the result of a virus?
2) if this isn't due to a virus, what is it due to?
