Just upgraded to the OS6 on my Bold 9700. Just love the new firm way. It works great but I have one problem. I slowly loose memory through the day. I do a battery pull and I start with 36MB free by the end of the day say 16 hours later I am done to 21 or 22 MB. I have to do a battery pull every day to reset memory.
View 9 RepliesEver since upgrading to OS 6 about 2 weeks ago, my Bold 9700 loses memory at a rate of about 2 MB/hour. That means freezing and battery pulling twice a day. Today 3 times.There are no new apps since the upgrade.

I even uninstalled App World and I still get the message. Is there a way to fix this? Or should I go back to version 5?
View 8 Replies View RelatedAfter Upgrading my 9700 to OS 6 there has been serious memory issues with my device. I am always shot of memory on the device. I had to uninstall my GPS apps and many utility software.I feel the 512 MB onboard memory is too small to OS 6 which take up lots of space.
View 9 Replies View RelatedPut on charge (turned off) about 1:30am at around 14% and when taken off at about 10:30am or so at 76%. That more or less happened the night before too. All this last week the battery really has been appealing.
I reset cache, not improved.
I uninstalled most out of the few third party apps I had. (Only had 3 pages on my phone, now two)
The only apps I even use are chrome, Skype, and since a few days after this problem started Gsam battery monitor.
Updated the OS on Bold 9700 to 6.0 2534. The upgrade was successful but I now have a much reduced set of ringtone options. In reality the choices available are now all more suited to message alerts rather than call alerts. How do I recover the call alert ringtone options that were previously available to me; the current choices available are not fit for purpose.

I can't connect via uma and have searching for network constantly at the top of my screen. I can however connect to orange when I am outside (i can't get a signal in my home). I performed a dagnostics test with the following results:

View 1 Replies View RelatedBefore updating my device to Android 6, I used SmartLock so my phone would unlock automatically when I arrived at home.
After updating, SmartLock doesn't work anymore because of the GPS location, it doesn't have the accuracy needed for it. Whenever I open Maps, for instance, I need to wait for GPS get my accurate position, but if I close and then reopen it I need to do this again. I have high precision setted on my location settings.
I've had one frustrating experience with my phone and it continues to annoy me. Since the past 6 months that i'm using my nokia 5800, one problem reoccurs frequently. Data on my memory card gets deleted by itself every now and then. I lose videos, music and images primarily every time.
The only option remaining then is to run a data recovery software on my memory card to restore to the lost data. This has happened 5 times in last 6 months and I have no clue why. I have seen many other complaining of the same problem in this forum but there's no solution. I hope to find on in this thread.
For your knowledge, i'm using 8gb micro sd that came with the phone and i'm already on FW ver 40.X which is the latest.List of Nokia phones I've used: 3310, 3315, 3200, 6600,3250, N73 ME, N95 8GB and 5800 XpressMusic (currently using this).

I have noticed my battery losing strength even when it is shut down. Last night I was right at 50% battery strength before shutting it down and going to bed. When turning it on this morning it was at 20%. I understand about things running in the background but even while it is shut down?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI just updated my X8 to the recent update using PC companion.The update was smooth and no problem at all.But today, the phone was slow even opening sms?I had tried clear all sms and free up the memory to 52MB, but still slow, the circle keep on running.I also tried reboot few times already.anyway to downgrade as the previous version works fine for me? I think it is 2.1 too.

For the most part, I like the 950 a lot. I did a hard reset to try to get the upgrade, no update. it fixed my music library problem though. That was nice.
I activated my insider on the phone. It showed the update. So I updated the phone. NICE!!!!!! I thought. My laptop, on wifi is about 30gb/sec download. My phone? about 500kbps/sec down.
I upgraded to Belle on Saturday and ever since then I'm suffering from long delays any time I send or receive a message or the phone connects to the internet.
When I send a message I have to wait 10-20 seconds before the phone becomes usable again, and it takes about 10 seconds to open a new message too.
I have a Nokia E71 and I done a Encryption on the phones memory and then it started running very slow.So I did a decryption on the phones memory and its still running slow, I have read the intructions manual and its turn off Encryption but this can only be done when decrypting memory card.Now am so disappointed because my phone is running so slow.

is that just me? it doesnt matter if its plugged into a cigarette plug adapter, or right into my computer...
these are the same cords that charged my 8310 beautifully.
my wall charger charges it nice and quickly.
