Few days after Belle update my N8 suddenly lost 20 MB on C for no apparent reason. I've seen others report this, apparently same thing also happens few days after reset. I'm not short of memory, just curious.
after i had upgrade my N8 from anna to belle i discover that the memory card is locked maybe i would have to read first about all before i upgrade but any way i didnt,so i try to find a way to unlock my memory card with out formatting, coz i got important media on itso can i find a way to do that†?
I have a problem with the phone memory of my E90 device. Although I have installed almost all applications in the memory card, the phone memory is rather low (10 MB available, 125 MB in use). What's more, it is progressively shrinking after browsing the Internet. In one week, I lost some 2 MB - I only saved some text-only pages from mobile web sites and I deleted the cache memory and the history before exiting. Any ideas on how to solve this?
My friend has N97 phone with some memory problems. This morning she had appr. 1200 emails (mostly†headers only) and appr. 900 textmessages in her phone. That all was in E: mass memory. It seemed like the amount of these messages slowered the phone.I tried to help her so I reorganized her email account. I left emails of august 2009 in her "inbox" and†moved older messages to other folder. There was some 200 messages left. Then everything went wrong.I opened her email account from her phone and the phone started to update emails. The phone went totally jammed for a long time. And when I got it back again all textmessages had disappeared.900 important messages. The phone works well and you can use E: mass memory but there is no textmessages there. Please, can somebody help me? Is there any way to get this information back? She don't have any backups (the phone is less a month old).
I've had one frustrating experience with my phone and it continues to annoy me. Since the past 6 months that i'm using my nokia 5800, one problem reoccurs frequently. Data on my memory card gets deleted by itself every now and then. I lose videos, music and images primarily every time.†
The only option remaining then is to run a data recovery software on my memory card to restore to the lost data. This has happened 5 times in last 6 months and I have no clue why. I have seen many other complaining of the same problem in this forum but there's no solution. I hope to find on in this thread.
For your knowledge, i'm using 8gb micro sd that came with the phone and i'm already on FW ver 40.X which is the latest.List of Nokia phones I've used: 3310, 3315, 3200, 6600,3250, N73 ME, N95 8GB and 5800 XpressMusic (currently using this).
I see TomTom has disappeared from the Nokia store... † The Nokia Maps app does pretty good nav but whereas e.g. TT will accept a postcode like CT16 2AB, Nokia Maps (or Drive as it is called; the Drive app shares the same database with the Maps app) accepts only CT162. † Today I tried to drive from Brighton (UK) to Biggin Hill Airport but Drive could not find Biggin Hill, which is weird. So I used an old Pocket/PC PDA with TT6 to get there. The Nokia apps did not show any roads/streets for a large area around the destination and on the way back it was about half an hour before I reached a map showing roads/streets. I deleted and reloaded the UK map (400MB) from Nokia and that fixed that bizzare issue, but having two ways to do the job is obviously desirable. And TT is a better app with a better database.
I have a nokia n8-00 with the product code of 059B663 and I have the latest nokia suite (3.6) Nokia Suite says everything is updated, i livein the philippines, they say nokia belle refresh is the latest here..
Changed to Belle on my N8†a few days ago and generally found it an improvement on Anna except for one major problem. I downloaded Skype from OVI and it opens properly etc.but does not allow me to enter my password etc. and then reverts to the main screen.†I am with†Vodafone UK.
Is there a good app to track Belle FP2 phones using GPS? I have Googled around and I can't find anything good and by good I am referring to an app that I can use to track my phone on a website (even when it's turned off, if possible) and it should also prevent uninstalling in case the phone is lost or stolen.
I checked the Software upate application in my Nokia N8 and it says N8-00 Device software - Use your PC to update So I downloaded the latest Nokia Suite 3.3 and I checked the updates available there and I did not get anything for Nokia Belle. I also checked my product code 0599330 in the Nokia Belle availability page and it says available.
I own a N8 for 1 and half years and very happy with it. I did not upgrade to Belle because I read lots of people that were not satisfied and wanted to go back to Anna. Problems I read in the forum in various discussions:1) Camera performance in low light has deteriorated, I love my N8 mainly because of the camera
2) Battery life is worse 3) Applications will be lost and I will need to reinstall them all , plus could never get back the Nokia ones I had free through offers 4) The useful and effective Nokia clock/calendar/profile switcher has been showed the door in favor of a Andoid-style clock 5) Widgets are worse or less effective: the email and music widgets are very big that I don't think I will be very happy wasting lots of space with no alternative. 6) Widgets do not change with theme, I have my nice Anna email/music and other widgets that gets transparent or just adapt to the Theme I choose, I haven't seen that on Belle. That ugly email widget for example is always the same , white on blue.
So basically I feel that I give up lots of useful and efficient features just in order to get a OS that is more fluid , has more homescreens and I can move the widgets and shortcuts around??
I have looked around the forum and there are still people not satisfied but most comments are now old.
Just got my first N8 yesterday and already so miffed with it that I feel like going back to the iPhone 4. Its currently on Anna but want to upgrade to Belle so I install the Nokia suite 3.3.86 which is where my issues started. It takes me 20 minutes just to get to the software update tab due to the constant message of not responding! When I get to the update tab I search for updates and says after 10 minutes cannot connect to server. I tried re-installing but seems to be just as bad.I am running a 64-bit pc with high specs so doubt its my computer.

2. Send a text message to your number (Nokia† N8).
3. When the text message is recieved the screen of the N8 displays the work "popUpClock" in the top left corner and the "time, Battery, and signal" icons on the right top corner. † 4. The above message disappears in a split second and the screen remains blank for almost 2-3 mins before shutting off again. The best way to check the duration of the blank screen displayed is to keep the phone in dark. This bug could be one of the reasons for the battery draining for some users who recieve loads of text messages in a day.
After Upgrading to Belle from Anna In N8, i am unable to see Already Installed Apps which i have downloaded And installed , And There are few Apps which i have purchased what abt those , I cann't keep on download same Apps for every† your Updat
When i search from my phone for an updated software it finds the update but tells me to use my computer. i connect my n8 on the pc, open the nokia suite and when i search for update it says No updates available.†
Since the Belle Refresh update on N8 I've been having a bug concerning text fields in the browser. When a text field is active and the keyboard is visible, clicking buttons on the screen will make you click other nearby links or buttons instead. For example, if you click Search in my attached image, the "Sign in" link will get clicked instead. That happens on other sites aswell. It also happens if you click on empty space with a link underneath it. As if the touch-screen area moves up a bit when the keyboard appears. Right now I'm using the enter key, but I'm still used to just clicking buttons on the screen.
As title says really .†† Since upgrading to belle† i am unable ,or should i say find photos i move from my picture library on my PC to my n8†† .† if i try to move the same photo again it says it already exists and would i like to overwrite it. to mass storage/ photos.†† But still no picture .†††
I updated my Nokia N8 to Belle this week, at first I hated it but i am growing to like it, until today. † When I connect my phone to my laptop with the USB cable I cannot see the pictures in Windows Explorer, the folder where they should be is just blank, this is very fustrating as it means I cannot cut and paste photos off my phone, i can only copy them via the import function. † I have had my N8 for a long time now and never had this problem. Also, it keeps saving the images as 001, 002, 003 etc, even though I select in options to save as date. † I do not want to have to do a hard reset and loose everything and have to install it all again which i had to do when i updated to Belle.
Ive got a Nokia 808 PureView which i really like but i do have one problem which is really bugging me. I cant seem to find a way of getting any email notifications, when i have a missed call or a new text message the lock screen shows this but it doesnt show anything for new emails. Is this the way Nokia have done it or am i just being stupid and cant find the right setting to turn notifications on?
I would like to know if custom equalizer presets in music player can be created in Symbian Belle (not possible in N8 with S^3 and Anna).Setting all the bars to the highest makes a significant difference to the volume levels (as I had done with my N95) as compared to all the bars being set in the middle (default preset). † As Symbian Belle is highly customizable, it would be great if this feature is included.
I'm using an N8 and a few of the programs I installed doesn't come with an exit button (at least not one that I can find). I haven't figured out if Belle has a running program list just like Anna where we can close programs. Is there even one? How would I close a program if there isn't a program list?
On my homescreen, since the update to belle, we now have a pull down menu which allows you to switch on or off Mobile Data, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or select Silent Mode. † I quite like this feature but want to ask.......can you edit these functions? For example, rather than go from General to Silent, I'd prefer be able to select 'Meeting' rather than "Silent'.
Since the belle update i cant bluetooth my songs to a different phone its all on but no option to send anymore has it been removed ? Also what happened to the file manager and the office cant seem to find them.
