Feb 18, 2010I'm running VZW's OS 5.0.0.975. When I open my Advanced Security Options, then select TLS, I do not have an option named "Allow HTTPS Redirection".

BB Bold 9700 :: Reconcile E-mail Greyed Out / Advanced Security Options
Jan 16, 2010My e-mails are not sychronising on my Bold 9700 & the 'reconcile e-mail' is greyed out. Blackberry Answers says that this is due to the advanced security feature in Outlook. But gives no detail on how to rectify it and I cannot find anything by searching the help in Outlook.

Jun 28, 2011Can't setup my mail accounts on Nokica C3. It only works for default mail services, but if I want to setup other email accounts, I need some way to enter IMAP/POP servers, ports, etc. If I choose "Other" in mail client, I can only enter mail address and password. Then I see message that connection can not be established. I expect to have an ability to enter all mail setting myself, but can't find any way to do it. It is really desappointing.

Jun 18, 2012Now that I'm getting to grip a little more with my SGS II then the next stage is to look at security. On my old phone I had a pin code lock for when the phone was turned on. The nearest I've seen to that is the encrypt device option.Has anyone any recommendations as to good practices for security on android phones, especially with the auto sync of some accounts needed for running which makes me want to lock the phone down tight should it get into undesirable hands.

Jan 9, 2016So long story short, I restored a backup after wiping my device, and I forgot to take the pattern lock off before backing up. No pattern I entered worked. I tried a bunch of things, and eventually I found a flashable zip that let me in, but now if I try to switch the lockscreen type from Swipe it crashes as soon as I press the button to load the different lockscreen types. Also, it crashes when I try to look at fingerprints.
I made a dumb mistake that I'd like to correct. I've tried flashing the factory image (without wipe) and tried flashing stock gapps. I'm thinking maybe there is a flashable lockscreen zip, but I haven't found anything. Is it possible to extract the lockscreen from a working 6P so I can flash it?

Apr 24, 2010I am hoping to get some help with a problem I am having with my Virgin Mobile LG Rumor 2.I have found a great website that will allow me to download programs directly to my phone that you cant get on Virgin Mobile's store (Go to http://www.getjar.com)Now, I have down loaded various programs for MSN and Facebook chatting, RSS Programs, however, it seems virgin mobile has restricted 3rd party access to the internet. The programs install fine, they run but as soon as they ask for access to the internet....the program comes to an abrupt halt.
I have heard that giving access through Bitpim is possible, however, bitpim does not fully support the Rumor 2 (see it as CDMA Other). Is there anyway to let 3rd party programs access to the internet on the LG Rumor 2? Is there any "secret access" to the phone that would allow me to change some type od settings?I like the Rumor 2 but am pulling my hair out trying to figure a way to let the programs access the net.

Nov 14, 2014After the 5.0 update, I went to add my Moto 360 as a trusted device and when I went to the Smart Lock menu option under Security settings I was surprised that there wasn't a Smart Lock menu option in there.
This is right out of the release notes from motorola: "Android Lollipop adds native support for allowing trusted devices to keep your phone unlocked (such as your Moto 360, a Bluetooth car kit or headset, etc.). Smart Lock replaces the prior trusted device capability in your Motorola phone. Note that you will need to add your trusted devices back after the transition to Lollipop in the Security settings menu under Smart Lock."
Noticed this option missing when your Moto X 2014 was upgraded to Lollipop.

Jan 19, 2016I have a Motorola Droid Turbo. I have never locked the phone. I downloaded ANDROID PAY app last night. It required a screen lock to secure credit card. I agreed and set up a pattern screen lock. I got tired of unlocking phone every time. I went to disable the screen lock and I am NOT ABLE to do that. The security settings for NONE and SWIPE have been grayed out and are no longer an option. I have removed ANDROID PAY and still have issue.

Jul 22, 2010I called applecare this week because of a number of issues with my iPhone 4 (got on launch day). The advanced replacement came today so I have two for a short period. First thing I noticed was that the new phone (SN: 85028...) has a MUCH warmer screen than the original (SN: 86022...). At maximum brightness the new one looks better and a tad bit brighter but at 60% or so (where I usually use it), the original wins as the new one looks filthy). I'm not sure that I like it and think I want to keep my original but am still concerned about the other issues:
-No change in abrupt signal drop when touching the bottom left corner.If anything the signal drops faster with the new phone
-The other issue was that my original iPhone 4 was outrageously unstable.It would crash over and over despite me restoring it, etcIt would lock up after sync, etc as well.One thing I did notice was that the clock is off by 31 seconds.I actually did notice this when compared to my 3gs when I first got it but then forgot about it.3GS and new iPhone 4 = exactly the same clock time old iPhone 4 (from launch) = 31 seconds slower than the others.I find this very odd. Does anyone know what might cause this? I am wondering if something is corrupt in the phone. Also, if I decide that I am truly unhappy with the screen on the replacement, can I just send it back instead of sending my original back?

Jun 22, 2012I'm running into an odd issue where one of our blackberry 9930's will not return a result from an advanced search in e-mail. (However doing a normal search will return a result.) I've tested the same search function on a separate 9930 attached to a different account, and had no issues there. I was wondering if there were any common fixes I could look into for this device. I've already done the reboot/pull battery, and bring the device backup.

When I call someone else using the native dialer using GV to make the call with advanced calling I do not get the HD icon, but the Camera buttons can be pressed for the video call, but when I do it says "the other person can not accept video calls at this time".
The other person's G4 Camera buttons are grayed out. When I dial the same person not using my GV number everything works the way Advanced calling should, I get the HD voice Icon and we can do a video call. How to get Advanced calling to work with GV on Verizon?
