BB Torch :: Music Sync Removing "home" Music From Device
Dec 19, 2011I thought it would be a good idea to sync my music via the Blackberry desktop program. however since i have done this my torch does not like it when i want to make a playlist from the music on my media card. I want my device to unsync, which i have tried to do many times via the desktop program and even tried to select "forget this device"
I want my torch to forget my "home" music and not at all have the option to sync music via wifi or anything! I used to be able to easily make playlist from music on my SD media card but now it won't let me...

Aug 25, 2011I am having a problem downloading media onto my blackberry bold 9780. I have successfuly installed the CD that comes with the blackberry and the USB cable goes in fine to my blackberry. But then in the last step, it asks for my blackberry password. I believed this to be the 4 digit pin I use to lock my phone, but this failed. I tried other passwords that I use for other various things but it didn't work, and it wiped everything off my phone. After contacting my service provider (o2) they suggested I try changing my 4 digit pin because this is definitely the password it requires. I changed it, but again it didn't work. I was wondering if someone could tell me which password the blackberry needs so I can start putting music onto my blackberry?

Sep 12, 2012My daughter has bought today a new Torch 9810. She has entered a new device password. After a few hours she tried to enter her password, but she forgot her password.
After a read of some internet groups, the solution is simple, just type 10 times your password and the BB will restart. I know that all data will be removed, but that is no issue.
Unfortunately the BB will not restart after I retype for then times the wrong password After the reset it starting with a White screen, with a sort of document icon. Within this document icon, appear a lock and cross sign, beneath this icon there is a counter with is repeatedly showing from 0 till 100% and then start over again.
I've tried to disconnect the battery for at least 1 minute, Put in a different sim card, let it run for almost one hour, but nothing seems to work.

Nov 27, 2012Phone was originally a work phone, now personal. But originally set up to change keypad lock every 90 days and to have 6 attempts. Work no longer set up with BES?
For first time ever i changed keypad lock code and now can't remember it. It have used up 5 out of 6 attempts and am now on last attempt,
I cannot lose all my data. Is there anyway on this earth to reset keypad lock or get more than 6 attempts.

Apr 21, 2010Desktop mgr 5.0.1.37.When I connect (via USB) the connection appears to be recognised - clock appears on BB and PC beeps. After a few minutes PC & BB icons appear on BB screen but no interconnecting arrows. When I try to sync there is no device and PIN number showing on Device Mgr so it doesn't sync. Then the Desktop Mgr greys out and appears to freeze - I then have to disconnect the BB to unfreeze.
Device manager shows two RIM virtual serial ports v2 Com 3 & Com 4. If I try to update the drivers it says most up to date are loaded although the drivers are dated 24 Nov 2008 and are version 2.2.0.3 and appear to be called RimSerial_AMD64.sys (I'm using Intel i7 processor).
Devices & Printers screen shows a RIM Composite Device icon.
Windows in Win 7 Home Premium 64 bit.

Oct 25, 2010sofware version v4.2.0.64 according to desktop BB that I downloaded recently with my BB device attached at time of download had deleted all information from BB device. After download I was not aware all information was deleted from device, including all numbers. I deleted the old desktop BB which I had some information, Possibly also backup, and the new download cannot find any pics or backup from other desktop BB.

May 11, 2010Im trying to change my ringtones around on my phone with the eventual goal of making some custom ringtones for certain friends. Before I get ahead of myself with the custom tones, I need to solve a problem: it seems that I am unable to change my ringtone at all!
I previously installed Buzz me from the app store on my phone, and despite having uninstalled buzzme and removing it from 'my world' in the app world, the only ringtone my phone will use is the lame 3 beep tone that came with Buzz me. When I go into profiles to change my ringtone, the same tone plays regardless of which ringer I select. When I made this post I tried notifier_crystal, alarm_electronic, ringer_bbpro, and they all sounded the same

Nov 11, 2011My mail comes off a Microsoft Exchange Server. In Outlook I have sub-folders to my Inbox. When I sync or reconcilliate only those sub-folders that I have dragged and dropped messages into (and only those after the initial sync) are visible. Sub-folders that have a rule set up in outlook for messages to directly go to those do not display the messages; however I can see all the sub-folders. I would love to sync all messages for all the sub-folders and be able to view them. FYI I have the default 30days setting in the phone and all messages in Outlook are only 3 weeks old.

If i try to refresh nothing happens, i have removed the data from the card, and put it back still nothing. When i connect with usb cable i can see and even play the music on my laptop. Oct 16, 2010i'm having some issues syncing my music files. When I try and synchronize on BlackBerry Desktop Software I get the error; "Some files were not synchronized. There was insufficient space or the BlackBerry device was disconnected." I've checked the memory on my media card and it has 1.4GB free, and yet even if i try to copy 3 or 4 music files I get this error. I have also synced video files on to the phone with no problems, but it still wont copy the music files. In options, under 'Store media on' I have my media card selected, so I have no idea why it will not sync the music.
