BB Pearl :: The Directory Or Location Of The Saved Contacts On Device?
Feb 15, 2012
which directory do contain "saved contacts on device" to check & copy them to PC.N.b: I did access contacts folder located on media card and device directories
My phone numbers saved on the device are missing in the contacts folder but the messages with those numbers are still in the messages folder withthenames and numbers properly written.how do I get the numbers back on the device? My phone is Nokia asha 200.
i have put some pics from my curve 3g onto my pc. I have realised these pics have the location saved when i open them on my pc. I was just wondering, they have not been uploaded to the internet have they? and they are not viewable by other people?
I thought it was saving pictures sent in text messages to the SD card. After all it says it is saving to SD card rather than phone internal storage. But it isn't. None of the photos are on the external SD card and they do not appear when I attempt to move the files under settings-storage-move to SD card. I noticed there is a slight difference in the path names of the camera and Handcent....the camera has the sdcard-ext in the path and Handcent does not have the ext portion in the path. However when I try to type the path into where to save them, it tells me invalid path. how to save texted photos to the external SD card?
Hi , I need to display only Sim contacts in phone contacts option rather than contacts that are saved in memory card. According to me knowledge there is a bug in these cell phone perhaps if you have any old nokia phone you may find this option.
I am having a problem to upgrade the device software of my daughter Pearl 8100 from v4.2 to 4.5. The BB update web site does not recognize that is a new version of the device software available.
I have 50 or so saved text messages on my phone that I suddenly need to get printed out to give to a conflict resolution specialist in 14 hours- who knew this would happen?I can't seem to find a way to do this other than to individually send them to my email- one at a time. There's no way I have the time or the sanity to do it this way and I'm thinking that there MUST be a faster, easier way to do this.Any suggestions?

I've turned it on it the advanced options and still it sends a message that "your location is temporaryily unavailable' and on BB maps, it just sits trying to find satillites.
This is random as I just started to encounter this problem.
At first when I would add a new contact it would save to my contacts list & being that I have my google account connected it would save it there as well.
I"m trying to get video converted correctly on my Black Berry flip phone, but I can't seem to figure out how to convert the video with the Roxio Media manager so that the video is saved sideways.. So when I play it in my Black Berry Flip it fills up the whole screen.
Issues with 4k video stuttering during recording and after when you go to watch the video on my Lumia 950 XL. Fairly certain it's all updated and I can't get the .29 update yet cause it was removed, just curious. I'm actually saving them to my device while the rest of my stuff gets saved to my micro SD because I'm waiting on the high read/write card to come in.
I can't see add or see any of my contacts. I know they are there because the correct name shows up when I manually dial the number. When I try to add these contacts and numbers back into my contact list nothing happens. All of my filters are unchecked and I am showing all of my contact lists.
How come Apple and or AT&T doesn't let us save our contacts to our SIM cards? Back when I was with Nextel I could always save my contacts to the SIM and just switch different phones and everything was there.
Lost my contacts when I click the contacts Icon. My phone still has them housed somewhere because when I get a call or text the phone still shows the contact name. Now when I click the contact Icon it reads Find at the top, Personal and No Contact?
Is it possible to start an activity from the device that is saved in your workout library without it being planned? I workout when i can so i don't want to log in and plan the workout everytime i want to do something.I guess i could set all my saved workouts to weekly or something but i just wanted to know if there was just a list of your workout library instead.
i just brought a new curve yesterday & the problem i face is that i get only those calls which are saved in my contacts. someone call it get rejected if that number is not in my address book
My old LG phone is damaged, so I can't install the Experia Transfer Software onto it, which is requied to move contacts directly from one phone to another.
However, I do have all my contacts backed up on my PC. But I cannot find a way of moving them onto the Z5.
I have downloaded the Sony PC Companion software, but can only see options for moving data from the Z5 onto my PC, not the other way around.
I misplaced my phone (LG G3) on 06/28, and the battery level was very low the last time I had it, so it surely powered down shortly after I lost it. I have been checking Android Device Manager periodically in case it is powered on, and the last search showed that the phone is currently unavailable, but the last online date changed to 07/01...it doesn't say where the phone was when it was powered on on this date though, so I am wondering if there is a way to find this out.
Recently, a friend lost a phone. Apparently, it was turned off after being found. When going to Android Device Manager, it only indicated that it couldn't locate the phone. I thought that it would show its last known location, but it did not. Shouldn't it?
I have just bough an HTC Sensation, signed up for HTC Sense all seems to be working except 'Device location' says device finder is off - well, it isn't off, its on, but no matter what I do the location does not register. I have seen other posts saying that this feature is generally not working. Is this still the case or does it depend where you are?
I'm going to preface this with the nagging feeling I may be completely off-base with how I think OTA updates while rooted/custom recovery works, but here goes anyway.
I got my 6P at launch, and immediately went and rooted it. Everything's been fine except for the constant notification that there's an OTA update available. I've got TWRP right now, so just attempting to reboot through the system's standard update installation doesn't do anything.
I thought I'd just grab the manual updates and flash them from the web. I was positive I grabbed the right Before-to-After .zip, but trying to flash it through TWRP just results in it failing. Nothing breaks on the device, it just boots and runs normally, but I'd still like to get these updates installed.
What I'm currently thinking is that instead of chasing down build number update zips, I'd just use the downloaded one specifically and attempt to install it via TWRP. This poses the question:
1. Where does Marshmallow download OTA updates to when it attempts to flash them when you reboot?
and then the follow-ups:
2. Can I even do this via TWRP, or is there a different process that I should use that I've somehow totally missed?
3. Post-OTA update, will I need to re-root? (Not a big deal, just wanting to set my expectations)
Basically none of my contacts are showing up on my contact list, they seemed to have all been deleted! Also I am not using any filters. As well as this, all my text messages have no contact names assigned to them, just their number. However in my call log, my contacts names come up... And when I click on view contact through the call log, the contact's details all come up! For example, one of my contacts, John, is saved on my call log and when I click on view contact through the call log, his address and number comes up, so it is saved. However when he calls, his name doesnt come up. So I'm assuming my contacts are saved on my phone somewhere, but they dont seem to come up on my contact list or text messages!! I recently added my gmail account to my Blackberry.

I eventually got my contacts from my old dumb Nokkia into the S5....they seem to appear as Google contacts.
Now...any incoming call...from any of my contacts...it says 'unknown'.
I have played with the app's Merge+ and Contacts+....nope....just will not show the contact name of incoming call. (Just want these contacts to reside IN my phone...just like they nice and simply did in my old Nokia).
