View 1 RepliesI have a Blackberry 8230 that won't turn on. When the battery is charged, the red light flashes very slowly (about 10 seconds on, 10 seconds off). When I plug the USB cable into the computer, I see the BB hard drive for a brief second or two, then it disappears. It will appear briefly again about 20 seconds later, then disappear again. Is the battery shot? Or could there be something else going on? The phone was on the charger all night.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have problem with my Blackberry Pearl 8230. I cannot turn it on. I have tried recharging it (even when it is connect to a charger the mini display on the cover is still turned off). Sometimes when I connect it to the charger, the red lamp on on the cover will show, however it would turn off very quickly too. I am sure the device is charged, since even when I charge it overnight, I still cannot turn on the device. (sorry in the image, the charger is not connect to an outlet, but it is the same even when it is connceted to an actual outlet)
I have tried pulling the battery out, resetting the device, nothing happens, no response. I have also tried pushing and holding the power button, again nothing happens.
I have lost all my backup data for my Blackberry 8230 Pearl. Where can I get the latest version of the software used to synchonize it again with my new Outlook calendar and contacts?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI've read this little hack apparently saves a lot of battery life (and it is abysmal right now), but I haven't read anything about what exactly this does. What are the pros (other than battery life) and cons of this change? Does it affect reception/signal strength? Any info is appreciated.

steps are listed below for verizon customers only with 4G Devices with " ICS or Jelly Bean "
how to switch from 4G to CDMA mode verizon devices.
For whatever reason, Verizon and Motorola have removed the option under Mobile Network Settings to switch to "CDMA Only" in the Ice Cream Sandwich update that is headed to RAZRs over the next few days. For anyone that doesn't have a RAZR MAXX, this is a problem, as LTE destroys batteries faster than you can charge them. In place of the former "CDMA Only" option is a "Global" feature for those that travel the world. Why they didn't leave the old option and simply add "Global" to the list is a great mystery, but don't worry, we have a way to get you onto 3G and saving batteries in just a few steps.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI received my Flip 8230 today and have not yet had the chance to activate it and probably won't until tomorrow or Friday. I've been playing with it though to get a good feel for it, and I've noticed that there's no browser installed nor is there any MMS folder or option when sending a picture. I did a search on both issues and found one thread in which it was suggested to resend the service books to remedy the browser problem, so I'll do that as soon as it's hooked up.
What worries me more though is the lack of an MMS folder or MMS option when trying to send a picture. (I can't actually send one of course since my phone isn't activated yet, but the option should still be there.) I did a search on that as well and did find a couple threads about it, but neither really contain an answer to the problem. How do I fix it? I'll be pretty sad if I can't do MMS with this phone.
I have Nokia 5230 it has Symbian 9.4, 5th Edition.I am having some strange problem with my mobile, don't know what to do.So here is my problem :-
When i insert Tata Docomo Sim Card in my 5230, and whenever i try to call any one it says Connection Error and am not able to call anyone, nor able to receive any, although the network signal is full.
When i removed Docomo simcard, and inserted Reliance in 5230, than it works fine and i am able to send & receive calls. When i put that Same Docomo simcard in Motorola, than it also works fine. Why does Docomo simcard shows Connection Error in Nokia and works fine in Motorola??
Ok so I bought an env2 off a guy on craigslist. I dropped my old one in a puddle but I really loved my env 2 so I bought a used one from someone on craigslist. When I went to activate it I discovered it was on revol's network, I dont live in the city hence I can get coverage on revol. Still says verizon all over it when you turn it on and off. I am not very savvy with cell phones but I am with a computer. I took it to the verizon store and they tried to put new firmware on it but it didnt work. I have a tough time beleiving that it can go from verizons network to revols but not back, if anyone has a way that I can flash the phone back to verizon.

View 13 Replies View RelatedThis is for my father-in-law's phone. He has just basic service, so no text or data plan. Bitpim doesn't appear to support it and I cannot find a USB driver for it. The phone does not currently have Kies installed (I don't even know if it is supported on this phone). And he can't install new applications because he has no data plan. Is he pretty much out of luck or is there some alternate way of doing this that I haven't discovered yet?
