I update my bbm to 7 but now there is no sign on bbm anywhere, my apps world was deleted to but it has been restored, if I go to options and check on my applications it says Blackberry 7.0.0 System requirents, pls help me get it back, I have destop manager and currently now it is updating my device software, I am very new to all this upgrading and stuff
View 5 Repliesthis morning i tried updating blackberry OS via the settings. i went to settings>device>software updates and chose the option to update OS to the latest OS for my BB Curve 9360. however it is now stuck on 11% BACKING UP an dit has been like this all morning since 8am. and the notice said the fone will be inactive for only 2hours. someone please assist urgently as I am awaiting urgent business related calls that i cant afford to miss

The screen on my blackberry is white, and pushing a button on the phone only brightens the screen. I'm reluctant to disconnect it because the last device I had tried and tried to upgrade failed part way through and had to be traded in for this one. Anyone know what to do?

However, the Mobiso application (which logs calls, texts) shows messages coming in with its text lengths. I asked this to Blackberryhelp on Twitter but it said to contact service provider, but there is nothing wrong with it. The format of the SMS inbox should have something wrong otherwise the Mobiso application should not have logged all messages.

I have a Iphone 3g that is unlocked and jailbroken running 3.0.1. For some reason once or twice a month my phone will say it has signal but nothing can be done on the phone that has to do with the mobile network. This is why I feel as if i should upgrade. Hopefully it will solve this issue, because getting signal to come back takes, a couple hard restarts and usually syncing with my mac.
I have watched some videos online that say that i can go into cydia and download blackra1n install the source and it will unlock it but i'm pretty sure that is after you update the OS to 3.1.2. Can someone shine some light on this for me?

I have BB desktop software installed on my computer and the update 7.1 is on there but will not let me down load. It comes up with a error message saying I have to have a active subscription BB which I have as I get BB app updates just not phone updates. Looks like the iPhone was shipped with iOS 5.0 after 5.1 was available. Irritating. Really irritating.So I set the 4S up as new phone, updated to iOS 5.0 and now have a shiny new 4S iOS 5.1with no data that is merrily syncing an empty phone with iTunes and iCloud and I still have a beaten up 3GS iOS 5.1 with all my info on it.I have a backup of the old phone but I don't know how to get that onto the new phone. I've tried iTunes/summary/restore which sets of an 803MB download - that's still going but I'm thinking I may have the same problem again.

Now after I have backed up everything from my oldphone to the new one, visual voicemail is gone (and it's asking for a password to check voicemail, I don't know I had a password), and Siri doesn't understand the same things.

I am trying to upgrade my BB os but don't have a data plan. So I took sugesstion from this forum and downloaded the device os software. Installed it and deleted the "vendor.xml" file. Switched off my internet cunnection, than ran the "loader.exe". In this wizard it only showing the apps which I have installed in my phone. There is no sign off any os in this wizard.
I've got a Nokia E71-2 RM-357 and the current firmware is 200.21.118. After checking online with the product code what firmware I am eligeble for, apparently that is the latest one, however I am seeing a LOT of people enjoying 410.21.010.Is it at all possible for me to upgrade to this version? Or something newer at least? I'm having some issues with my E71 turning off on its own and doing some very random things.
