View 7 Replies View RelatedJust brought a new Nokia X6 for my wife and I have an odd problem.I can start the music player from the home screen and skip forward and backwards a track with no problems. But I can't adjust the volume.If I start playing music from the home screen and it's too loud or quiet, I have to open the music player itself before I can change the volume.This seems very odd to me, and I have googled it and looked all the way through the forums here for the X6 and no one else has mentioned it. Does that mean it's only me having this trouble? Or does everyone else not use the music player from the home screen?
Also, I noticed that I cant fast forward and rewind a track from the home screen. If I hold my finger on the Foward button for an extended period of time, the track continues playing as normal and then ether skips to the next one when I take my finger off, or all the player buttons disapear from the home screen when I take my finger off.Again, if I do this in the music player itself, the track will fast forward or rewind after a second or two holding the 'button' down. Anyone else tried this?
how to jump in time when listening to the music in media player? I tried to tap on time bar, but nothing happens. It seems like you can play and listen songs only from beginning, I don't know how to rewind or fast forward?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a number of older audio books and audio files that I have recorded myself using a dictaphone and added to the iTunes library and then set the info for them to be "audio book".
Since the latest software update, my iPhone 4 (and no it's not jail broken) has a) not updated the iPhone library to include or exclude audio books I add or remove from it via sync (using either playlists or the book option where you can tick the books to sync). Instead I have to search on the phone for them and then I have a number of problems with the actual playback:
1) some of the audio books only show a track length of 3 mins even though on the computer they show as their true length (over an hour).
2) on the above audio books and even on the ones that do show the right length, the second I try and fast forward, use the scrubbing bar or rewind them, it skips to the next track!

Not able to send any e mails either. Thought too many stored mails may be the problem but device won't now allow me to delete. Very fast and slick.I'm on T-mobile UK and the email address I can create within my BIS login (ending in @instantemail.t-mobile.co.uk) is generally very fast. A new message will reach my phone in 10 seconds or less.
However, my Virgin mail account appears to be less solid, with emails arriving in 10-30 minutes. Is there anything I can do about this? Can I contact my Virgin (my home ISP) about it and can they do anything? I know I can forward mail from that address to the fast email address, but I find this complicating.

Now, if I type to fast during a message of any sort, it'll freeze on that screen and I won't be able to do anything until I hit the back button and re enter the message I was writing to finish it. Also, I've noticed that apps crash a lot, and that overall, it is just much slower. I'm very good about closing apps when I'm done with them, so I don't really know where this lag could be from.

View 6 Replies View RelatedAfter suffering from insane battery drain in the last few weeks, following update from jbm 4.3.2 to 5.1, suddenly it stopped!I honestly didn't do *anything* - didn't change my use pattern / touch any settings / reboot / close bg apps / move to different physical location/networks / etc.It just "magically" stopped draining my battery yesterday morning, following the usual nightly charge. Time since last full charge currently shows 22:00 Hrs standby, 1:30 usage, and battery at 74% ! For comparison, it used to to completely drain the battery after about 10 hours of standby, following full nightly charge. I am not complaining, but this gross inconsistency is all too strange, especially coming from Apple. How can I be sure the insane battery drain doesn't return?

My phone has gotten to where when I am typing a text message it'll get so slow and almost freeze up and just stop and I got to wait and let it come back before I finish. I am running .131 on my Alltel 8330. Also, the 507 error I believe it is, happens to me a lot & I have had to completely reinstall the whole OS so many times. My battery doesn't really last very long at all. It doesn't compare to many that I hear about & my signal just isn't that great. Sometimes it runs good & won't really be that slow or lag but these past couple days it has been lagging bad & even with scrolling. Memory is NOT an issue I can reboot up with 45 & it'll go down to around 39 throughout the day.
I've tried .127 OS that my phone came with, used .131, used a hybrid before and tried .169 but the notification problem is too annoying.
