I have a BB curve 9330 and I think it may have a virus. I made the mistake of downloading Skype and as soon as I did my BB shut down and I have not been able to turn it on since. I bought a new battery thinking that was it but nope. I tried plugging it into my pc for BB desktop and I actually got a blue error screen on my pc. I can't turn it on to make any adjustments.

View 3 Replies View RelatedLike the title says, it seems that if i dont want to use the virus scanner what is installed on the aino, that i will get a message after the trial period has passed, that i get a icon next to my signal strenght with that logo of the virusscan Antivir..I dont want that, so how can i remove this scanner from my phone..its forcing me to update my trial to full, and its anoying to see that icon..I dont want it, and want to use my own virus scanner if i have one..So how can i remove that software from my phone..cant find a spot at all..all folders are there but the software is no where to be found.. but it is installed on the phone so how and where.

I updated the OS and low and behold, my keypad started working again so obviously not a harware fault but now the keypads gone again and I try reinstalling the software and some of the keys work.... could I have a virus on my BB? is there a virus killer out there for BB?

It also has a pop up message that says " Confirm Navigation" , and asks me if i want to stay on the page or leave the page. No matter what option i press, the pop up doesn't go away and it hasn't changed since.

I downloaded some music the other day from a friends PC & I wasnt aware that I had downloaded a virus as well. Now it has deleted all my pictures/music & videos that where stored on the memory card. I have a problem with my PC Companion (2.10.079) which was installed on 8-6-12 in my computer, I has used it many times but never had any virus problem till 28-08-12, The K7 anti virus on the system says PASSWORD STEALER 003d48a91 found when i opened the application on 28-08-12. I had the program uninstalled and again downloaded PC Companion (2.10.094) from the SONY website on 28-08-12.Again the same virus was detected and was removed. I had tried this twice but the result was same.

Only problem was She did not call! it was some creep who knew my name and got dc within 20 seconds.There is no record of the call in her mobile. but the service provider we both use logged teh 20 seconds call from her phone. When i told them that she had not made the call from her mobile and there was no such log on her phone. They refused to believe me and were adament that its not possible.After half an hour of useless arguments they simply refused to take my calls!When I called my freind and told her that some1 has been calling from her number without using her SIM. She also cannot believe its possible.Yet the call is logged on my phone n the service providers have also accepted it.I have heard bout viruses that send mass smses but this is the first time I have seen a phone number being used without its owner`s knowledge.More ever all the data on teh sim has also been apparently compromised.Since they knew my name as well.Now according to the service providers this is simply not possible and their system is secure.Is it possible that heckers can actuly take over a phone and gain access to all its data without the owner`s knowledge? I am extremely worried since the potential for crime and terrorism in my country is horrendously high. And with this kind of identity theft the number can be used for black mail extortion kidnapings for ransom even bomb blasts.. all of which are very common in Pakistan.
