Does anyone know how to remove a PIN? I have an old Blackberry that someone is trying now to use with a different provider and we are being told that in order for the BBM to work we need to delete the PIN
I have a BB curve 9330 and I think it may have a virus. I made the mistake of downloading Skype and as soon as I did my BB shut down and I have not been able to turn it on since. I bought a new battery thinking that was it but nope. I tried plugging it into my pc for BB desktop and I actually got a blue error screen on my pc. I can't turn it on to make any adjustments.
I used to own a BlackBerry 8520 Curve in which I had my Gmail mails pushed to my BlackBerry. I sold my BlackBerry recently to a stranger, and before I sold it I made sure I wiped it all clean by resetting it to the factory settings. However, I just noticed that this person had access to my push e-mails from my Gmail e-mailaddress. He even sent an e-mail from my Gmail address. I checked my Gmail account activity and I tracked the IP address back to Research in Motion in the UK, so I'm positive it's from that BlackBerry (I'm currently not using a BlackBerry right now).
I changed my password already (although I'm not sure if this has any effect at all - I'm not sure if the linked BlackBerry will still be linked with a changed password or not) and I disabled IMAP in my e-mail settings. I was wondering if there is another way on my end to remove my e-mailaccount from that BlackBerry without actually having access to it.

Have taken battery out and re-inserted.No "joy".Tried the "reset" (Alt, Del, R Shift) again no "joy".Flying today, only way to tun-off phone was to remove the battery.
How do I remove Blackberry Protect on a Curve 9360? I have forgotten my password and have exceeded the number of times that I can enter a password. I have tried going into the program but it does not allow me to remove the tick where it says "delete blackberry protect." Now every 5 minutes or so I recieve a notification telling me about blackberry protect.
Mine is 8900. Since there is country lock, I cannot use it in other countries, regions. I am in Netherlands and frequently travel other continents. Does anyone know how to remove the country lock?

The lock screen just popped up on my early model blackberry curve. It has a new battery and was just tweaked by The IT person at work for my email accounts. When I left his office there was no lock screen in place. Over The weekend my battery ran out, I recharged it and now there is a lock screen. How do I turn that off so I can use my phone
I am not sure what the correct name is for what I am describing but this is the easiest I can explain. When you receive a SMS/EMAIL/BBM etc. you receive a notification at the top of your screen. Today I received a notification that looks like it is related to the internet browser. I went to the internet and could not find a message there. I went to my app world and installed all the upgrades available but still the message appeared. How do I determine to which application or program the message is related to and how do I remove the notification?
I wanted to test out the Facebook App that was pre-installed in my Blackberry, but did not find it interesting. I now have reminders all over my calendars of facebook events and birthday and all sorts of stuff. I've tried removing the preferences to sync my blackberry and facebook together but that only stopped the new events and such from attaching itself to the calendar. The old reminders are still in my calendar and I have no idea on how to remove them.
Just left a job and they let me keep my Curve. I completed the sucurity wipe down but I can't manage to remove the IT policy - unless I do this I can't hook up my hotmail. The sites I've seen so far refer to older Curve models and I can't make those solutions work for my 9300.

So basically I must have pressed Alt and Enter and the language options came up. I cleared that screen and now every time I go to type whether in an email, bbm, sms, or my browser I have a little EN box in the top right hand corner of my screen. And it's pretty darn annoying. How do I get rid of this?
I see people regularly have icons/symbols on their display that they don't know what they stand for. Now I've got one ... it's close to the top, to the right on where of where the symbols show you have messages and/or voicemails. This one looks like a smiley face with a star over the left eye. There's a number 1 next to it. Help please.
Also, where is the master chart from BlackBerry, or the carrier, the deciphers these. It seems to be a common problem that's not covered very well in the user's manual.Isn't there a link somewhere to the master chart? My phone is an 83** with Sprint.
I have duplicated contacts in my BB Curve 8900. The count given by BB is 1120 (my address book) but it seems it is more 3300 (3 times each). About 15 of them are not duplicated. It is synchronized with Lotus Notes with BES at the office (I think). All was perfect for many weeks. I install Desktop Manager at home and I twice export an ASCII file of my contacts to have them in Excel. Then my contacts were 2 times duplicated.
I try both solutions suggested on forums :
- RSET in Options on device : it wipes contacts and repopulate them later. But they were always present in the BB, even if in the options I can read Numbers :
- In Desktop Manager, Advanced option under Backup and Restore, I clear contacts (Address book, and Address book all) : databases show as empty with no records, but records are still there twice before repopulating. After that, each contact is present 3 times.
I have been looking for a solution on many forums without solving my problem even with many topics talking about it. I would like to remove all contacts from the address book and resync after.Anyone have any ideas about how to wipe Contacts that refuse to be wiped?
I set up my earthlink.net account on my phone so I could send one pic to my PC and now I cannot get it off! I cannot find any option on my Curve to set up an email account. I deleted my login and password for my email account on my phone; I deleted the CIMIME from the Service Book and deleted something called BIS 5 from somewhere. I'm still getting emails on my phone. I sync my calendar with Outlook and the same email address so I haven't gotten rid of CICAL in the Service Book.
