BB Torch :: UnableTo Setup Email
Sep 18, 2012i reset my blackberry 9860. I had to enter the passwords again. Unfortunately it was refusing to register one account and therefore i deleted the E Mail account from setup, but it has not deleted from the homescreen. I am now trying to re-set up the E Mail but it is refusing to set it up. it keeps on saying username, password, etc are incorrect. What is the best solution for this problem?

Feb 7, 2012Okay, I have been unable to get mail on my Blackberry Curve 9330 for some time. I have this phone under Verizon. quite awhile back during one of the updates not the last the one I did today or the last one but probably the one before it I'm assuming one of my email setups didn't directly download right causing it to screw up. It has nothing to do with resets on my phone I have tried numerous times resetting it and it doesn't work. Everytime I go into email setup, I go to Setup>Email Accounts>Internet Mail Account and then either it just freezes at the screen, or just goes back to the "Select the feature you want to set up screen" everytime. I have tried going into Service Books to try to send service books but it doesn't give me the option... I am unable to get into my Blackberry Internet Service account because I cannot remember my password - and I have done password restore or whatever and it said it has sent to my phone

Jun 17, 2011blackberry aked to me update my phone when i connected my phone to the blackberry desktop manager and i restored my things. went to start the updat enad now it has finished nothing is working. my contacts have been deleted. i have no sim contacts. phone turn on and off when it wants, i lost all gallery. the scroller ball does not work, so because your company told me to update my phone i have a broken phone that can not even been used!

May 8, 2011I've recently recieved a new Curve 8520 after the screen on my old one smashed. However, when I recieved the new phone I found I was unable to add my email address, or any other address for that matter, to the phone so I am now unable to actually recieve any emails whatsoever. When I attempt to do so, I get this message "Unable to log in. Please check your information and try again". I looked on the Blackberry support video for this and I'm missing about 3 or 4 screens out of the setup process. Rather than go from Create or add email address to agreeing terms, mine goes directly to asking for a user name and password and whilst I have a user name and password with Blackberry these don't work, despite being able to log in online with this same info. I've tried restarting the phone to see if this is a glitch but the problem remains.

Sep 15, 2012Yesterday i tried to update my software to the 7.1.0 (1133) bundle on my blackberry, and ever since then a screen saying "backing up your data" but it doesnt back anything up it just stays at 9%. Due to that i cant use my phone, the signal is off, i cant even go onto my home page. im just stuck to that particular message on my screen. ive taken out my battery like 10x and the same thing will pop up.

Oct 18, 2010I have a Bold 9700 and a Curve 8320.The Bold has, for want of a technical term, borked. It was in an endless reboot loop and I couldn't do anything to get it out of it.Anyway, I've put the sim card into an old, unlocked but still fully working Curve.It connects to the network fine - ie I can get SMSs and access the web via the browser.But I can't setup my email.You go to the add email page. It says: 'A new Blackberry device has been detected. You must move your email accounts to receive email on this device. To move an email account, you will need to type the email account password. At least one email account must be moved to set up email on this device.'<It then list my two email addresses>'Email delivery to your old device has been stopped this point you can't add a new email address (I can't find any way to add a new email address)If you click cancel, it totally cancels.So, you can only click 'Move email account' You do that, it lists the current email address with a space to enter the password, then click 'validate' So I've done that - the password IS correct.But every time, it just says: 'An error occurred while accessing your account. Please click below to try again. Link: Access Another Email Account'If you click that link it takes you back to the start and you go around in the same circle.So I'm left not being able to validate any of my email addresses - or being able to add a new one.

She is using the same sim.She had already added her email address on the old handset and adding it on the new handset is proving to be a problem.When she tries to 'add email' it comes up saying 'existing users' and asking for the user name and password. When we type in the full email and password it says 'Blank user name. Type a valid user name'We have tried just typing the first part of the email without the '@whatever.com' bit on the end and it says 'connecting to email settings' and then 'the information you provided is incorrect. retype your user name and password. Your user name and password are case sensitive.
