I recently purchased a second hand blackberry, Rogers branded, for use on Rogers. I have a dataplan that supports BIS (Rogers reps extensively confirm), and Rogers says everything is setup correctly on their side.
I have now talked to (seriously) 27 representatives of Rogers, trying to figure this out. I have hard rebooted the phone over 10 times; clean wiped and re-installed the OS; pushed the Register Now button more times then I can count.
I'm no longer able to connect to the internet. I've been using at home my WI-Fi and now I still am connected to the network, but not getting any signal from the router or should I say the Blackberry is not able to receive the signal..Every other device is working just fine on this very same connection. Tried to erase the network, took the battery off, have been switching on and off the Wi-Fi on the BB, but to no effect...

I got a Curve 8530 earlier this week with service through Virgin Mobile. Regular phone service is working great, but I still can't connect to email. Further investigation showed that I am not connected to BIS/BES. I have followed the instructions for registering, and have 2 messages in my inbox telling me that I have successfully registered my device. I even took the battery out and put it back in, but nothing works. What can I do to connect?
Service provider say I have access to internet - I was receiving mails and BBM for a while but have now lost that as well! When connected to desktop software, it says the Browser needs to be installed,....but how to do it?I have looked under options - advanced options - HRT which list a lot of GPRS numbers, and SErvice book has ticks by various things such as Facebook (browser Config) etc?

I have a wireless network at my work (that is functional and works for my laptop) that I cannot figure out how to connect to with my Blackberry Curve 9300 OS 6.I can find the network, and when it prompts for the password and I enter it, everything appears as though it should work. The WiFi box is checked in "Manage connections" and on my home screen, at the top, above the time, it shows my provider's name and the WiFi network I'm connected to (Koodo - Arnason Lab <--- network name). When I try to use my browser though, I get the following message: "Unable to connect to the internet, please try again later. If the problem persists please contact your service provider." I called Koodo and they told me that this sounds like a device problem and that contacting BlackBerry would be my best bet. Is my browser set up to work via WiFi? Or is there something I'm missing about connecting to a WiFi connection?

I have the Curve 8520.I am a unique case of this, because with T-Mobile there is a way you can have a Blackberry without the data plan, so when I am trying to connect to the internet, it is ONLY through wi-fi.
On the home screen, the Wi-Fi Logo is lit up white, and it says the name of my network. However, when I try to access any webpage, the message comes up:"Unable to connect to the internet, please try again later. If the problem persists, please contact your service provider."It HAS worked before.
I just bought curve 9220 and started using it with wifi at home, unfortuantely it keeps saying "not able to connect to network" or " Failed to get an IP address".
Ok so now I have been trolled with this router and BB device for more than 3 weeks. With very slow browsing that mostly fails by saying "Unable to find the requested server" I have a Dlink router model 2730u. I tried restarting the router, resetting it, scanning for the wifi connection, restarting my BB device, Removing the battery for minutes are restarting again. ALL failed. I am seriously disappointed at this device
i am trying to connect my blackberry curve 8520 to my own wi-fi at home, but it will not connect me to the router?its says to enter a pin to the router... i have watched videos on Internet and followed them step by step, but yet it still does not connect, this is what i have done:
-went to main menu -clicked on 'manage connections' -made sure the 'wi-fi on' box is ticked -then clicked 'set up wi-fi network' -scan for networks -clicked on the network which is my router -then it comes up saying
'provisioning wi-fi profiles...enter this pin into your wireless router: 18104707 time remaining 4:11.'
I got new curve 9300 3G with unlimited data plan, meaning I can connect to the Internet, push mails, RSS feeds, etc. It was working fine for several days but lately I could not connect to the Internet, could not get emails; virtually any data connection! I decided to replace SIM card since if I´m using my friend´s card it was working. Initially with the new card (with data plan) I was able to connect to the Internet but after a while (couples of minutes) I could not connect and all data connections were just off (AppWorld was also off). Strangely, the 3G signal is good on the screen! I have tried to re-register the HRT and pulled out the battery also refreshing the network but still didn´t work.
I installed some apps prior to this problems, but I do not think it was the cause, except that I upgraded Facebook app then the Facebook icon disappeared.
I already set up my wifi network yesterday and i was able to browse but it stopped working just this morning. It prompted that the available wifi network is available but each time I am attempting to connect it says: Unable to connect. Reason Failure to connect to the network.
I use a Blackberry 8310 curve. suddenly, i have been unable to connect to the internet. My network provided told me i have been activated. I keep getting messages like "your blackberry services have been deactivated or suspended contact your service provider".
I have an 8900 Curve, and have been using Wifi to connect to the internet, in my home and everywhere else I go. I'm in Mexico using Telcel. You don't need a plan just to connect to the internet, that's what WiFi is for. It just stopped connecting the other day for some reason. The wifi icon does not appear at the top. I have the browser set to HotSpot, it's the only option actually, I set the TCP/IP APN to the Mexican settings (you can do that here: http://www.blackberrytune.com/blackberry-tcp-ip-apn-settings/), but still nothing!WTF is wrong with this POS!
