BB Curve :: Unlocked But Not Allowing Virgin
Apr 20, 2011I have a Blackberry Curve 8520 on contract with Virgin mobile. After an unfortunate incident with a puppy my phone ended up scratched, I do not have insurance so instead I looked for another model. I bought a Blackberry Curve 9300 off Ebay which stated it was unlocked to all networks except 3.
When I received it I put my SIM card in and it came up as Tmobile. I searched for a new network but it shows me all networks (including 3) except for Virgin. Does this mean I wont be able to use my SIM card at all? Or do I just need to take it to be unlocked again?
Galaxy S6 :: Fingerprint Sensor Is Allowing ANY Finger To Unlock Phone
Sep 12, 2015so I've had my Galaxy S6 and the fingerprint sensor has always worked fine. Yesterday it worked great all day long at work, then when I got home, it wouldn't work at all. I rebooted and still it wouldn't work, I cleared cache and data, did the hardware test, and it passed. It still didn't work, so I erased the fingerprints, and retrained my right thumbprint only. Now it seems to unlock with any finger of anybody! As long as they touch lightly, it unlocks about 90 percent of the time.

I can never get my organizer to allow sync of my contacts...the check box is inaccessible and it states "Not Installed".
I completely uninstalled the application, removed all of the folders and cleaned the registry them reinstalled the program but still have the problem. The last time the Blackberry Desktop Software worked was a very early version of 5 or maybe v4,

Feb 5, 2010I got my first ever BB yesterday, the Bold 9700, but there's a problem with the address book which is driving me nuts! Despite setting the phone up for all available UK localisation options on the startup wizard I cannot enter the postcodes of my contacts in the address book. The field is labelled "zip/postcode" but will not accept letters, just numbers as would be the case for a zip code. I've tried to override the number lock which is the default for this field, but the phone will not allow it.
I've rechecked the "options" folder and the "advanced options" subfolder, but there is nothing which gives me an option to overcome my problem. For those unfamiliar with UK postcodes, they mostly follow the format AB1 3XY but some have a seven character format AB12 3XY. BB's have been in the UK for ages so surely someone knows how to fix this issue, unless it's specific to my model which I understand hasn't been out that long.

This is the same for texts, I am not sure if this has something to do with it, but it doesn't seem to tell me my number? For example in the call log, it says 'my number:' but blank... and then also on options>SIM card> the 'phone number' is blank to.

BB Torch :: Not Allowing Incoming Calls?

My torch won't allow incoming calls, and I am missing out on all my work calls. I've contacted my service provider who says there is no issue on their side, and even managed to get it to work once - but since then it seems that my phone is not accepting incoming calls. Jul 5, 2014I use the stock e-mail app on the M8 since I have several accounts over various servers and it allows them all to be grouped together regardless of where they come from. We had to reset the password on one of the g-mail accounts yesterday and the e-mail app is not logging onto it. At first it came up as an invalid account so I changed the password in the settings and nothing. Then I deleted the account and was going to start over, but I get the same message 'authentication failed, please check username and/or password'. I've checked, everything is correct, but it won't log in.
I've had this account on this app since I got the phone with no issues. My wife uses the g-mail app on her M7 and everything went through just fine on her phone right after it was changed. I've restarted the phone, I've waited overnight, nothing I do seems to work. It as if the app can't contact the newest info from Google, so it knows it needs a new passwords, but it doesn't know what it is. Usually setting up an account only takes a few seconds, but this one is being really stubborn.

Xperia X8 :: Keeps On Not Allowing Text Messages?
Dec 15, 2010I have owned this phone, a Sony Ericsson Xperia X8, for 3 months and in this time have experienced several instances of sending/receiving texts perfectly OK one minute, then all of a sudden with no explanation it stops allowing me to send/receive texts. This often goes unnoticed by me for several hours because everything looks as it should on the phone, full signal etc. It is not until I go to send a text at some point that I notice it won't send, just keeps saying sending (I know when it has been sent because I get message from O2 telling me my pay and go balance plus the message gets stamped with the time it has been sent).I have to keep on removing the battery and the sim card, then reinserting the sim card and battery before it will work.

May 18, 2012Whenever I try to call one specific contact, my Iphone rings once, then says that the person I'm trying to call is unavailable. I never blocked the person, and the person never blocked me. My texts go through perfectly fine. I just physically can't call them. And it has nothing to do with being out of service or anything because the person can call me back a second later with no problem. I never had this problem until I got my iphone.
