View 1 RepliesThe sound on my BB keeps going out. Taking the battery out (rebooting) corrects the problem but only temporarily. The is a continual, intermittent issue. How can I get this issue resolved without taking the battery out everyday?
View 5 Replies View Relatedhow I can put the sound of my camera off? Everytime I want to take a picture my blackberry makes noise. With that sound I can't make subtile pictures.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhenever i download a video from my BB to my computer it has no sound
View 1 Replies View RelatedI don't know why my phone has sound (meaning I can hear it turn on, off, hear it ring, receive texts) but I have no screen. It is black. I tried rebooting it by taking out the battery, but nothing.
View 3 Replies View RelatedNew to Blackberrys, I have a 9300, can't get it to make a sound when I get a text message, but it rings when I get a phone call.
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy husband's Blackberry 9330 has been making what sounds like a camera shutter sound randomly at all hours of the day and night. It doesn't matter if you are holding the phone, have it laying on a shelf, carrying it in your pocket or even have the phone sounds muted. Have gone through all the sound effects and the one we are hearing isn't even listed and it is a different sound then when you take a picture with the phone's camera.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI noticed that my curve wouldn't alert me with a sound or vibration when I got a message. I went to edit the profiles of my various sound settings but when I get to the screen to do it, nothing happens when I choose either "Add Custom Profile" or "Edit" on an existing one.

View 2 Replies View RelatedHi, please assist! I had to wipe my Curve 9380 and since then the sound and alerts has gone haywire. When the phone is on Loud, it vibrates, when it is on silent, it goes of loud an so on.
View 1 Replies View Relatedi have had my curve for just over a week and it has been working fine, however i went to change the sound profile from normal to silent, and when i click on the icon (either from the front sceen or from the menu) nothing happens.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI just got an 8520 that originally came from the UK. I cannot figure out how to change the alert sound for BBM. My daughter has the same phone but the menus are different from mine.
View 4 Replies View Relatedlets say i have my direct connect speaker on, whenever im not using it and i get a call, i can hear the "beep-beep" sound loud (it also vibrates because of the settings i have), but when i have the speaker off, i cant hear it because the sound is also set to private (speaker off), how can i make it to get the voice of the person private but at the same time make the "beep-beep" sound loud (like in speaker on)?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI can hear no sound on my BB 8520 - not for alarms, music or when the phone 'rings'. When I plug in the earphones, I can hear the music.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am training a hearing service dog to locate and respond to different sounds. Can I create sound effects (door bell, alarm clock, etc) on my blackberry then set it on a continuous loop? I want to set the sound effect then hide the blackberry until the service dog finds it while the sound is still going on.Is there an app that does that? or can I load the sound effect and somehow get the sound to be on a continuous loop?I don't want to spend too much time fiddling with this so the easier the solution the better.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have transferred my videos from my phone to my PC, and the video looks great, but there is no audio. How do I fix this? I really want to be able to send the video to family and it is of course too big to email from the phone. I tried installing VLC, but it didn't work that way either. Does anyone know how to fix this?
View 5 Replies View RelatedThis is my first post on the forums, but I do think I'm a fairly knowledgable BB user. Had 3 BBs over the course of a few years, so I can usually rectify small problems as they arise. However I've recently come across something that I am not sure how to solve, or maybe it is not fixable- I do not know.Basically my phone has been making a constant heartbeat sound when I make or receive calls. Doesn't matter if it is on speakerphone, or the normal phone. Its also not just a slightly annoying noise in the background, it cuts off the person on the other end and breaks up their speech. Essentially kills any phone conversation because I cannot understand the other person. I am not sure if the other person can hear me or not. This has been going on for about 3 days now, and is very irritating.I would like to find a way to fix it rather than get a new one. My old pearl's trackball died, so I had to get a new phone, which led me to the 8900. The keyboard on that quit working, so I got a new 8900, which was luckily just under the one year warranty. Now this one is having this problem, but its just a few weeks outside the stupid 3 month warranty on replacements. I'm fed up with ATT and BB because of these device failures, and also because ATT never provided me with my $100 rebate, even after complaining to corporate. It's just a situation where I feel robbed in a way, and just want to find a way to get my current phone to work thru the rest of my contract so I can upgrade to a better device.Any suggestions of how to rid myself of the heartbeat noise? I'd really appreciate it.
View 6 Replies View RelatedCan the sound be changed or switch off when taking a photo with the Curve 8520?
I've looked through the options and profiles but cannot find the means to do it.
Pulled battery and re-booted but that has made no difference.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy BB curve has recently started making a very loud static sound every 5 minutes (when not in use). I have removed all podcast apps and followed other advice on various posts and it has not made a difference. I think I have the most recent OS (6) not sure when it updated and perhaps that is the problem. Also this is not an audible thing meaning adjusting the volume and putting the phone on mute makes no difference. My carrier is Verizon. Really sounds like someone is trying to connect via old school sprint direct connect, every five minutes.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've had problems before with the white screen but then a few days ago my screen was black but I was getting sound land flashing light wen I receive n messages/ emails and rings when I get calls. When I pull the battery it comes back on and screen shows for 2minutes but none of the keys will work anow then it goes black again
View 3 Replies View Relatedmy sound works perfectly fine, but it is just my music and songs that do not play. everytime i select a song it says 'unable to play content' on a white screen but if i played the same song on Internet it works. i've restarted plenty of times and deleted and added songs again nothing has worked!
View 1 Replies View Relatedyesterday I changed my ringer settings to silent (in a meeting) - ever since, I can't change them back. The "Sound and Alert Profiles" won't open when I try to select it. The icon on the top left won't open either.Even if I make changes under the Options and save them, they aren't changed.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've had my Blackberry for over six months, but I've always had a problem with the quality/clarity of the audio in incoming phone calls. It's very difficult to understand the person on the other end -- particularly, but not only, if the person has an accent of any sort. I want to use the Blackberry as my primary phone, but I can't "get" half of what my callers are saying to me.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have noticed that my ringtones and alarms play at a lower quality than they did before. My first thought was that my speakers were damaged and affecting the sound quality, but when I play music and even my ringtones in the media player the quality is as fine as ever. However the same ringtones, when played automatically either as an alarm or ringtone have a noticeably lower quality
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I try to play a song in my bb it keeps on telling me that I can't play that song! and I don't know why! And every time I am changing my profile to medium from the silent mode it doesn't play my ringtone. It doesn't play any sound at all!
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a BB Curve 9900 running the latest software 7.1.0 bundle 1310. I set up the auto on at 6am and off at 1am which is later than I go to sleep and earlier than I awake, just in case I have any emergency calls, but without using up my battery. However, the sound that comes on when this function is happening is so loud that it wakes me up in the next room. Is there any way to turn off the notifier sound that plays when the phone is turning on and off? I have tried to change the phone profile but it doesn't affect this.If there is no way to turn off the sounds for this function, I don't understand how it is useful. You may as well just plug in the phone and put the profile on "phone only" every night.
View 1 Replies View Relatedsince I've upated my BB 8900 to 5.0.0.592 (official release of my provider), the alarm clock is not ringing when the phone is locked.
When it's unlocked there is no problem and the alarm is sounding.
But when it's locked it does only display an information about the alarm on the screen, but no sound :smileysad: How can I fix that? I'dont want to get too late too often!
I have a Blackberry Curve 8900 on T-Mobile in the UK and just wondered if there was anyway to turn off the camera shutter sound?
