I am trying to connect to a wifi hotspot login, everything works fine till I get to the login page where I just have a blank screen. I have tried the same connection with another brand phone and it works.

The problem is that when I create my wifi hotspot for connecting my computer to, with network will be created but no internet is available over the connection. I've tried to connect multiple devices to my phones hotspot and none of them are able to access the internet.
Can I use my Blackberry Curve as a WiFi modem to connect my laptop to a WiFi Hotspot? How?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI was always using on other phones with Android 2.2 FroYo that 3G mobile hotspot feature, which was included right in the Android system under Wireless Networks settings.Now in Defy there is no option like that under settings in FroYo. Defy includes own app called 3G Mobile Hotspot, which should work like that option for creating mobile WiFi hotspots in other Android phones. But here is the problem.On my older phone with Android 2.2 I could create 3G WiFi hotspot wherever I needed and it worked. But now, with Defy, when I use that application 3G Mobile Hotspot, it writes me error when creating WiFi hotspot "Cannot set up data link, please contact your service provider" I suppose it is something with my carrier (Vodafone_CZ), but when I used 3G WiFi hotspots on older phones (which had that feature included right in Android settings menu) it worked without problems and I a used mobile phone for 3G internet sharing with my laptop.Now I remember, that I have deleted some DUN profile under APN Internet profiles, could it be that problem, that 3G Mobile Hotspot app is not working?how to create WiFi hotspot on my Defy for example with some other app?Or if not, how can I use Internet Tethering in Defy Mobile Networks menu via Bluetooth (my laptot has BT). I dont know, what should I set in my laptot to use Defy like BT 3G Internet provider and I dont know, if Internet Tetherig via BT is not charged at my carrier (I know, that the 3G WiFi hotspot feature was not extra charged..) so for that reason I would like to make it working on my Defy.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a local wifi service that works great with my laptop, but when I try to connect to it using the BB, it does not allow me to connect. I am not even getting to the user name/password prompt. It goes through the redirecting page then comes back after several seconds with a "bad query". I have tried the hotspot browser, firefox and Internet explorer with the same results. I have deleted the entry for the wireless connection, cleared all of my cache including cookies. I have neighbors that connect to the same wifi with their iPhones and it is no problem for them. Why would a BB be different. Curve 8530 v5.0.0.508.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have an 8520 and i have entered my wifi details & it connects but whenever i try to use the wifi it won't work. whenever i click hotspot login it just keeps saying requesting & in the end it just says unable to conect to server.
all the browser settings are on hotspot browser but the wifi will not work.
The auto login function to my tmobile Hotspot has worked for over 1 year without any problem on my iPhone 4. After migration to ios 5 / ios 5.1 the function doesn't work any more and i have to login manually, each time.
I use the same iPhone, telekom phone number, telekom login account id, telekom account password. The manual login works without problem. Nothing else has changed, but the ios upgrade. So it seams to be a bug in the ios upgrade.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have had the curve for a few weeks now. At first i changed the settings of the browser to "hotspot" so i could use it with wifi. It was working really well, then all of a sudden it stopped durin browsing. The phone says the wifi connection is fine, but whenever i go to the broswer and try to go to a website it just says loading at the bottom and nothing happens.
Can anyone help with this? should i restart the phone setting somehow because i might have done changed some setting during browsing without realising or is this an actual issue with the phone?

I have an ADB wireless router and a very slow internet conection , and although my 2 laptops connect to the wifi here in Portugal, my blackberry curve 8520 on vodafone PT, doesnt connect , it identifies the network and shows wifi logo in grey and under network connections it showsthe network name with a white dash next to it and the signal strength.i have tried different setting on the router such as: wpa2, wpa, wep and open, but i get the same result.my internet speed is only 213kbps, would this effect the wifi? i have tried deleting the network and then taking out the battery while witched on etc....

The Curve can see my home Network when I scan but the connection brakes immediately, give an error message like it couldn't associate with the network.

My husband's brand new Curve 9300 will not connect to our home WIFI network. Although it picks the network up it will not connect stating "cannot find IP address". The network key is correct, & other Blackberrys in household have connected with no problems

I may have reset to defaults during my attempts to connect, I am not sure what happened. My wife has the same blackberry and connects just fine. My phone sees the router, but it shows a WAP security deal. When I try to set it up-there is no WPA option. It tells me the blackberry will enter a PIN, but it never does.

So, today, and purely for research purposes went to McDonalds for lunch and tried their Wifi (had a quarter pounder with cheese with sprite for those interested) and just like back at home, connects first time then drops then "failed to associate with network".I am on Orange with the Blackberry unlimited internet add on and everything worked fine with my pearl.Have tried Orange tech but , well the less said the better there.
