I have an ADB wireless router and a very slow internet conection , and although my 2 laptops connect to the wifi here in Portugal, my blackberry curve 8520 on vodafone PT, doesnt connect , it identifies the network and shows wifi logo in grey and under network connections it showsthe network name with a white dash next to it and the signal strength.i have tried different setting on the router such as: wpa2, wpa, wep and open, but i get the same result.my internet speed is only 213kbps, would this effect the wifi? i have tried deleting the network and then taking out the battery while witched on etc....
Orange required me to install their Router - a Netgear DGN 1000. When trying to connect my Blackberry to the network, it finds my Home Network but then tells me that the Router supports Wi-Fi Protected Setup. To connect using a PIN (which my Blackberry will generate, click Next. I click next and the mobile generates an 8 digit number with the message "Enter this PIN into your wireless router."I cannot find a way to enter a PIN into the Netgear Router and all attempts to get help from Netgear have failed to solve the problem. The latest advice from Netgear was that I should contact Blackberry.Incidentally, the Wireless Printer and the Wireless Laptop both work inconjunction with the Router, as does the PC which is hard wired to the Router.
My husband's brand new Curve 9300 will not connect to our home WIFI network. Although it picks the network up it will not connect stating "cannot find IP address". The network key is correct, & other Blackberrys in household have connected with no problems
My Curve used to connect to our home wifi. My phone discharged and now it does not connect. I may have reset to defaults during my attempts to connect, I am not sure what happened. My wife has the same blackberry and connects just fine. My phone sees the router, but it shows a WAP security deal. When I try to set it up-there is no WPA option. It tells me the blackberry will enter a PIN, but it never does.
I cant get my daughters 8520 to connect to our home wifi. I have searched and found my wifi, saved it and it says connected. But when i click on the browser button it says unable to connect or sometimes just a blank white screen. I have followed the setup advice but no joy.
My Curve 8520 has my home wireless connection but it doesn't hold the connection for more than a minute at a time. Is there anything I can do? It's fine when the little WiFi words light up in the top right of the screen, but then it goes grey and is disconnected.
I have just recently bought an iphone 4, however it wont connect to my home wifi. when i select my bt-homehub from the networks the circle just keeps spinning as if its loading, everything else like laptops etc are connected to the wifi so it cant be my hub, and when i go to a friends house and to the phones4u shop my iphone connects to their wifi and has a tick beside it so i know its connected and has the wifi signal in the top left hand corner whereas when im home my iphone has an E in the top left corner, My mum is able to go on wifi using her samsung phone. ive tried resetting everything and turning my iphone on and off and ive called my internet provider and they say everythings fine with the wifi hub.
It was conecting fine at home. at work I always had the 3g symbol as work will not share their wifi. Downloaded a ring tone today through the app store then went out. Came home and noticed when using the internet it was 3G and not my wifi - kept telling me unable to connect, Asked it to forget this network then tried to rejoin just keeps saying unable to connect? I'm stuck in the UK with my tech savvy son in Aus - hence he bought me the phone. My internet at home is fine,
I keep getting 'Out of range' from my aino while trying to connect to my home wifi (2wire 2701HGV-E). Need help on how to solve this! Also my phone is not detected during the update service via usb-to-computer. It is stuck at the 'connect' page and doesn't move onto 'confirm'.
When I'm trying to connect to my home network with wifi with correct username and passwords. Its showing me connecting and then it is getting disconnected automatically after connected.
When I leave home and return, I have to manually connect back to my home wifi. From what I remember, it used to do that all by itself and connect with any other network that I've connected to in the past automatically. It no longer does that. I'm not finding any answers on Google that work.
I'm running iOS5.1 on my iPhone 4. about 10 days ago (before I got the iOS update), my iPhone stopped connecting to my home network. It's able to detect it and the signal is strong but it won't connect. I'm able to connect to Wifi everywhere else (at the library, my friend's house..etc). I've tried rebooting a couple of times, renewing the lease, reseting network settings, forgetting the network and reconnecting to it. Nothing seems to work so far! I've also tired restarting my router..
So I've had my iPhone for probably about 4 months, and up until about 2 or 3 weeks ago, WiFi was working fine on it. Then, one day, I left home and came back a few hours later, and I couldn't connect to the home network. I can still see the network, and it comes up with the signal strength and everything seems normal, but then I go to connect and a message pops up saying "Unable to join network [Home]".
There're 9 other devices on our router, which are an iPhone 4, an iPhone 3GS, an iPod touch, an Apple TV, a windows laptop, an iMac, a MacBook, an ipad, and a PS3.
All three people in my family have a 8520, this morning all 3 devices were not picking up the wi fi in the house, I know the wi fi is working as 2 laptops and an ipod are working fine. Is there a problem in the blackberry network causing problems, by the way hte 8520's are different mobile networks - seems the blavkberrys are tghe common factor here
Nexus 6 periodically not automatically connecting to established wifi connections? When this happens I have to power off and then when powering back on the connection is resumed.
I am trying to get my torch 9810 to connect to my home wi-fi network and get the error "Failed to associate with the network". My wifes curve connects fine, and my old curve connected fine too. i upgraded and restored my data setups etc from a backup, but it hasnt worked since.
No problems until recently. I've noticed at Home & Work where I spend 90% of my time the WiFi has not connected (and I end up using my Data Plan). So once I notice it I have to connect manually and its fine. Both networks show up in advanced at "known". Is this a "bug" caused by a recent update?
I can use my blackberry in places with public WiFi access - connect, lo-gin and use the WiFi. At home my blackberry is assigned an ip address - seen in WiFi diagnostics and on WiFi modem. The only difference that I noticed between my blackberry at home and on a public WiFi is that the blackberry infrastructure is connected in public. Does my wifi modem need to be set to recognize an remote blackberry structure address?
My BlackBerry Curve 8520 is not connecting to the network for three days now and I can not figure out what might be the problem. It is recognizing the mobile network, but informing that I am not in a covered area. I have removed the SIM card and inserted it in another phone, the connection was just fine. What could be the problem?
PS: for sake of good order, the mobile network service provide I usually use is Vodacom Congo
Phone was working properly & connecting to wifi with BBM working ok until returning from a trip to Malta where it was connected to the internet.
On returning it won't now connect to the home wifi. Have tried turning it off & on + taking battery out.
In the top right hand corner it says EDGE
When trying to connect to the internet get "Unable to connect to internet. Please try again later. If the problem persists please contactr your service provider"
I recently got a new bb curve 8900 and I am having trouble connecting it to my home wireless internet. It worked like a charm the first day I got it, but now I can't get it to connect. Coverage is spotty where I live, so I need to connect to the internet to get calls and what no. I have the required data plan, so I am unsure as to why it stopped working.
I have a new 8520 and the connection to my car's bluetooth keeps on going on and off mid-call or even just when the phone is sitting there. I never had a problem with my old Blackberry Bold and my husband is still able to connect his Bold no problem to my car. It seems to be something with the 8520 that it wont make a connection that stays.
My phone is driving me mad, suddenly its stopped collecting my emails, i have tried pulling it apart etc and when i try to go to email setup it says that it cannot connect and the next message says "your device had a problem connecting to the server"
ive been trying to connect my phone to my wifi since last night but the box is still greyed out. its not my internet because other phones in the house can get connected to the wifi but we have another blackberry which cant connect to the wifi either.
Just upgraded from a pearl to a curve and al of a sudden am experiencing this apparently common problem. Sorry if this is a new topic on an old subject but I am at the end of my tether trying to find a solution.
I have read numerous threads, here at Crackberry and beyond, but I am afraid I have a truly nuked (to ashes) Curve 8310. My son decided he needed a password, then promptly forgot it and wiped the unit out. Being scared that he was really wiping it out (which of course he was), he pulled the battery in the middle of the wipe. I reconnected everything, and it seemed to do a wipe okay. The essential problem now is that I can never get it recognized by a Windows PC when connecting a USB cable. Yes, I have the BB Desktop and app loader installed. A second, known good BB (different model) connects just fine and is recognized. JL_CMDR gives a "port not found" error. Tried invoking LOADER, even with the /NOJVM switch, but nothing ever sees the 8310. Tried the timing issues with battery pull, cable disconnect dozens of times, but I never hear the PC do the double-ding that a USB device has connected, and the Loader application is always blank for the ports.
i have a blackberry curve 9300 3G and it seems that everytime i connect to my home network my blackberry does not connect as if,if i connect my iphone it would connect properly then if i try to connect my blackberry in my cousin"s house it would connect with no problem
