I just got my BB8530, and I am using 6.0 desktop manger. The Chinese input is shown in the desktop manger, and it is already installed, but I can't change the input language in my BB.

A few things that i discovered and its bad! Comparing to E71, E72 is very bad. By the way, this is the second E72 i am using. I bought one before, same issue, now the secound one, Same ISSUE again!
Here are the problems: I need to type in Chinese (pinyin) but whenever the language is switched to Chinese input, the calculator does not allow me to input decimal (how bad this is!).
Also in Chinese mode, once back to English input, the SPACE bar input is NOT WORKING. The only way is to restart the damm phone.
when someone calls me or i call someone, i cant really hear whats going on. my speaker "pops" and thats all i hear. it pops like every two seconds. and now my microphone doesnt work. whats going on with my phone and what do i do to fix it? i've battery pulled many times

If I download it from Taiwan, will it be any problem ? Knowing that almost everywhere in the world, the used keyboard is a QWERTY and in France, it is the AZERTY ?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI was always the frustrated one, seeing leaked OS, but if I want to play with it, I had to sacrifice Chinese reading/writing ability. Well a bit of research got me into finally figuring out how to actually insert Chinese/Other Languages capability into any OS (especially leaked ones!). Mind you this is only for BB 9700. It's actually easier than I think =) Anyway, there are two ways to doing it. Installing it as a separate add-on (Simillar to BB Maps / Password Keeper type RIM app), or installing it with the OS. 100% sure the OS method works, .alx via app loader through DM seems to be a little buggy, still testing.

I used to be able to read and input chinese character on my Bold 9700.Few days ago, I connected my device to the desktop manager and it prompted me to update my device os to V5.0.0.593 (Bundle 1022, Platform 5.1.0.147). Ever since then, I am unable to read or input chinese characters.
I've read through the forum, did whichever I can find, and crashed my blackberry a few times as I think I loaded some 3rd party modules. I managed to wipe out the whole device and reload EastAsia pack (which I did at least 3 times) but am still unable to have my chinese characters on.
At the massage tools > writting language>: does not have the list for chinese language although from the application got the chinese keyboard software but it look like useless. Isn't the flaw of android 2.1? How do I change back to android 1.6?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm stuck in the 80s with a corded phone again. It works fine if it's plugged in. But when I unplug it and try to use it, a white screen will flash and then it turns off completely. It automatically tries to reboot, but fails on most occasions. I have to hard reboot to get it to work again and still have to have it plugged in. Anyone have ideas on how to get this to work??

I've been using BBerry for a while. Not new.After the last 'upgrade' to Blackberry App World I couldn't use it anymore.When it's installed there is no icon. When removed the icon appears.When I click on icon it directs me to download App World. And the cycle starts over again.Curve 8530. Sprint.v5.0.0.459..No it's not hidden. It doesn't click down like the rest of the buttons. I have a few scratches on the phone on the back piece and such. So does RIM cover this? Blackberry 8530, email enterprise activation won't work. I've discussed the problem with both Sprint and our IT department at work without resolving the issue. Both say it should be working. Sprint's latest suggestion is to exchange the phone for a new one. (Which would be my third phone in a week since first getting the 8520) It retries, then occasionally the screen pops up to say the enterprise server hasn't responded with the options to continue or cancel. I'll be heading to the Sprint store this afternoon to either exchange the device or get something completely different.

Recently I notice, every time I leave my office or area with wifi, my network coverage doesn't change to EDGE automatically. Sometimes I get edge, sometimes nothing at all (either "X" or OFF). I've to turn my BB off for few seconds, turn it back on, then I get EDGE. Does anybody know why this happens?

I was able to send and receive emails for about 3 days, then I suddenly stopped receving emails.I can send email from my outlook address, my Sent Items appear and my Outlook calendar items appear on the blackberry calendar.I'm just not receiving emails through the Inbox.I've contacted my carrier and my IT department at work, but no one can figure out why I'm not getting emails on the Curve.The usual fixes aren't working.
