I just got my BB8530, and I am using 6.0 desktop manger. The Chinese input is shown in the desktop manger, and it is already installed, but I can't change the input language in my BB.
A few things that i discovered and its bad! Comparing to E71, E72 is very bad. By the way, this is the second E72 i am using. I bought one before, same issue, now the secound one, Same ISSUE again!
Here are the problems: I need to type in Chinese (pinyin) but whenever the language is switched to Chinese input, the calculator does not allow me to input decimal (how bad this is!).
Also in Chinese mode, once back to English input, the SPACE bar input is NOT WORKING. The only way is to restart the damm phone.
when someone calls me or i call someone, i cant really hear whats going on. my speaker "pops" and thats all i hear. it pops like every two seconds. and now my microphone doesnt work. whats going on with my phone and what do i do to fix it? i've battery pulled many times
I just upgraded my BB 9900 from OS 7.0 to 7.1 on the OS 7.0 there was Chinese input but now...I want Chinese input method on my BB 9900 OS 7.1.0.267 platform 5.1.0.230 I really need the Chinese input PS: I'm from Hong Kong and my carrier website doesn't have the support
I bought my BB Bold 9780 in France and would like to install Chinese input on it. I've seen that we can download an "ALL Language" version from the BB website, but this version doesn't exist for my French vendor.
If I download it from Taiwan, will it be any problem ? Knowing that almost everywhere in the world, the used keyboard is a QWERTY and in France, it is the AZERTY ?
I just bought my phone last week. I bought it at Kuala Lumpur Malaysia.I cant type my chinese msg at all. Although it can read chinese msg. But I cant find my chinese input. Is it need to download apps or some thing?
Just had my Torch 9810 and realized that the older OS in Asian does have Chinese handwriting input method. My carrier is Bell?Have RIM able to provide this same software to Canadian User?
I just bought the Xperia X10 mini, however I can't find the option to input Chinese when I sms. I looked thru the languages, there is no chinese option given. And i kept on having problem setting up my yahoo email in the phone too, it kep saying worng user id or password but i am sure the id and password is correct?
I was always the frustrated one, seeing leaked OS, but if I want to play with it, I had to sacrifice Chinese reading/writing ability. Well a bit of research got me into finally figuring out how to actually insert Chinese/Other Languages capability into any OS (especially leaked ones!). Mind you this is only for BB 9700. It's actually easier than I think =) Anyway, there are two ways to doing it. Installing it as a separate add-on (Simillar to BB Maps / Password Keeper type RIM app), or installing it with the OS. 100% sure the OS method works, .alx via app loader through DM seems to be a little buggy, still testing.
Not responsible if I break your BB! Language Packs: (9700 Only) Download the Chinese Language Resources RapidShare / mirror Download the Japanese Language Resources RapidShare / mirror..........
I used to be able to read and input chinese character on my Bold 9700.Few days ago, I connected my device to the desktop manager and it prompted me to update my device os to V5.0.0.593 (Bundle 1022, Platform 5.1.0.147). Ever since then, I am unable to read or input chinese characters.
I've read through the forum, did whichever I can find, and crashed my blackberry a few times as I think I loaded some 3rd party modules. I managed to wipe out the whole device and reload EastAsia pack (which I did at least 3 times) but am still unable to have my chinese characters on.
At the massage tools > writting language>: does not have the list for chinese language although from the application got the chinese keyboard software but it look like useless. Isn't the flaw of android 2.1? How do I change back to android 1.6?
I'm stuck in the 80s with a corded phone again. It works fine if it's plugged in. But when I unplug it and try to use it, a white screen will flash and then it turns off completely. It automatically tries to reboot, but fails on most occasions. I have to hard reboot to get it to work again and still have to have it plugged in. Anyone have ideas on how to get this to work??

When removed the icon appears. When I click on icon it directs me to download App World. And the cycle starts over again.Curve 8530. Sprint.v5.0.0.459..No it's not hidden. Went through the knowledge base and can't find anything relating.
I'm not sure if this is a known issue or not, when i set an alarm using the clock it does not go off, it vibrates once shortly then does nothing, but when i do it with the calendar it works just fine. any ideas?
I've had my phone for about a month now and my "P" button is... Having some problems. It still works but its hard as rock to the touch. It doesn't click down like the rest of the buttons. I have a few scratches on the phone on the back piece and such. So does RIM cover this? I'm going to call tomorrow I was just wondering if anyones had any hardware problems and was able to get new phone sucessfully.
Checked properties and it says unavailable. Just a black screen with sprint logo appears.Any clue how to update this app?Is there a better app out there for tv?
Anyone else think the speakerphone on the 8530 has a muffled sound compared to the 8330? Its loud, but to me doesn't sound as clear. I noticed an option for enhanced audio. I wonder if that makes a difference....
Blackberry 8530, email enterprise activation won't work. I've discussed the problem with both Sprint and our IT department at work without resolving the issue. Both say it should be working. Sprint's latest suggestion is to exchange the phone for a new one. (Which would be my third phone in a week since first getting the 8520) It retries, then occasionally the screen pops up to say the enterprise server hasn't responded with the options to continue or cancel. I'll be heading to the Sprint store this afternoon to either exchange the device or get something completely different.
I set my connection preference to: Wi-Fi Preferred. Recently I notice, every time I leave my office or area with wifi, my network coverage doesn't change to EDGE automatically. Sometimes I get edge, sometimes nothing at all (either "X" or OFF). I've to turn my BB off for few seconds, turn it back on, then I get EDGE. Does anybody know why this happens?
My boss would like to forward his work emails to his personal email account. Is this something he can do on his own?Can someone provide setup instructions?
hi just recently, the letter "a" on my 8520 wont respond and sometimes my trackpad will freeze on me. and if i leave any of my keys untouched for more than 20 seconds i would have to press down on a key to get a response from the phone. im running a .681 but ive only heard good things from it. any suggestions/ideas to whats causing the problem ?
A couple of weeks ago my employer gave me a password to activate my Outlook account for my Curve 8530. I was able to send and receive emails for about 3 days, then I suddenly stopped receving emails.I can send email from my outlook address, my Sent Items appear and my Outlook calendar items appear on the blackberry calendar.I'm just not receiving emails through the Inbox.I've contacted my carrier and my IT department at work, but no one can figure out why I'm not getting emails on the Curve. The usual fixes aren't working.
