Xperia X10 :: How To Input Chinese Writing Language After Android 2.1 Update
Nov 9, 2010
At the massage tools > writting language>: does not have the list for chinese language although from the application got the chinese keyboard software but it look like useless. Isn't the flaw of android 2.1? How do I change back to android 1.6?
A few things that i discovered and its bad! Comparing to E71, E72 is very bad. By the way, this is the second E72 i am using. I bought one before, same issue, now the secound one, Same ISSUE again!
Here are the problems: I need to type in Chinese (pinyin) but whenever the language is switched to Chinese input, the calculator does not allow me to input decimal (how bad this is!).
Also in Chinese mode, once back to English input, the SPACE bar input is NOT WORKING. The only way is to restart the damm phone.
I have a Sony Ericsson K800i. Can I ask how to add Chinese language on my phone please (for both displaying and writing)? The Phone language settings currently have Deutsch, English, Francaise, Turkish, IsiZulu and Sesotho. The Writing language settings currently have German, English, French, Turkish, Standard abc and 123.
I just bought my phone last week. I bought it at Kuala Lumpur Malaysia.I cant type my chinese msg at all. Although it can read chinese msg. But I cant find my chinese input. Is it need to download apps or some thing?
I just bought the Xperia X10 mini, however I can't find the option to input Chinese when I sms. I looked thru the languages, there is no chinese option given. And i kept on having problem setting up my yahoo email in the phone too, it kep saying worng user id or password but i am sure the id and password is correct?
I got the ICS update on my XMP. But there is one problem which I am facing. In the Settings, if I tap on "Language & input" settings, the phone hangs and nothing appears. And then when I slide out the physical QWERTY keypad, the "Language & input" settings appear in the landscape mode and then again when I slide in the keypad, the screen goes blank and none of the keys on the phone work.
I received the update to v25.007 today. After updating my n8, i noticed that my language set was changed to a whole different packet. Is there any way to get chinese back on the phone? Custom version- 025.007.269.04Product code- 059C8T6
I have a Danish SK17i with build 4.1.B.0.587. It has stock ROM and is rootet. What I want to accomplish, is to write Korean, but I do not want to change menus etc to Korean. I have tried a number of keyboard apps from the Play Store, but none of them support the SYM key and the globe key on the hardware keyboard (and some didn't support HW keyboard at all). I've also tried changing the HW keyboard as described on xda dev [URL]. Is there a way to add Korean to the writing languages of the stock keyboard, or do I need a custom ROM?
I have chosen English for the main language and Greek for typing language, but I cannot read sent or received SMS although they are sent and read properly by the recipients. When I turn typung language into English I can read the messages but still with problems...in that case I have to change language each time i m writing a message. That seems to be a problem.Does anybody knows anything about that?
Since the new Android update for my HTC (I think it came up 3 days ago); I am not able to send a message when I write a message horizontally in Whatsapp or Facebook.I can type the message but then need to pivot the phone to a vertical position so that I can send the message. I only got this when I updated Android 3 days ago.
So when I was in gingerbread, whenever I needed to type in either Chinese or Japanese, I could just tap and hold down on the text box (either in SMS or any forms of text box), but now tap and hold down on the screen no longer gives me that option.. and when I go setting for typing I could not find the original Chinese and Japanese inputs.
I selected "I never want to have any words or letters replaced" in Words Suggestions in Language and Input. I can see word suggestions on top of Xperia keyboard but I am unable to select the words. The letters below the words gets selected instead. This only happens in phone is held upright (portrait). The selection works when phone is rotated horizontal (landscape).
That leads me to another problem, when in horizontal (landscape), only a slither of the doc avail for editing. The keyboard takes up 2 thirds of the space, and apps tool bar takes the rest of the real estate above that. Hence I almost never input any docs/apps on the Z3 horizontally. Maybe the real estate issue is because I use large font size.
I am interested in an export set for Ray selling $100 less than a warranty set but the sales man said there is no support for Chinese messaging input. $100 saving is very tempting, and Ray is not known for hardware problem.Seek expert advice from seasoned Android and Ray users - If Sony really did not preinstall Chinese as one of the list of languages to choose for messaging input, then is it easy to get it installed by updating to the latest software from Sony Ericsson website from my region? Or need to buy a messaging app for Chinese with the language built into the app from the Android Market? Or must root the device in order to re-install the OS used for this East Asian region?
Every time I compose a message and start typing a bar pops up at the bottom of my screen with the current language on the left and a x on the right to close it. I hit this to close it and get it out of the way but the moment I start typing again its there! I dont find since I have had the phone any use for this annoying pop up so, Is there any way of stopping it?
I just upgraded my BB 9900 from OS 7.0 to 7.1 on the OS 7.0 there was Chinese input but now...I want Chinese input method on my BB 9900 OS 7.1.0.267 platform 5.1.0.230 I really need the Chinese input PS: I'm from Hong Kong and my carrier website doesn't have the support
I bought my BB Bold 9780 in France and would like to install Chinese input on it. I've seen that we can download an "ALL Language" version from the BB website, but this version doesn't exist for my French vendor.
If I download it from Taiwan, will it be any problem ? Knowing that almost everywhere in the world, the used keyboard is a QWERTY and in France, it is the AZERTY ?
I had to buy the phone without my native language pre-installed, as I live in another country and don't go back to Russia too often, so I didn't get any Russian language support whatsoever. Is it possible to install Russian somehow? I'm fine with English interface but would like to have it for sms writing. (there are English, French, German, Italian, Spanish and Portuguese available which doesn't help much)
Just had my Torch 9810 and realized that the older OS in Asian does have Chinese handwriting input method. My carrier is Bell?Have RIM able to provide this same software to Canadian User?
