Xperia Mini/pro :: Adding Korean As Writing Language?
Nov 26, 2012
I have a Danish SK17i with build 4.1.B.0.587. It has stock ROM and is rootet. What I want to accomplish, is to write Korean, but I do not want to change menus etc to Korean. I have tried a number of keyboard apps from the Play Store, but none of them support the SYM key and the globe key on the hardware keyboard (and some didn't support HW keyboard at all). I've also tried changing the HW keyboard as described on xda dev [URL]. Is there a way to add Korean to the writing languages of the stock keyboard, or do I need a custom ROM?
At the massage tools > writting language>: does not have the list for chinese language although from the application got the chinese keyboard software but it look like useless. Isn't the flaw of android 2.1? How do I change back to android 1.6?

Can we get full screen to write sms while the physical keypad is open?Reason for this is, suppose I start writing an sms, I will be writing only in about one-fourth of the screen only (rest of the screen shows Add Recipient & Blank Space, I do not understand the reason of providing this blank space). If the sms is a lenghty one, then it is difficult to read the entire message before sending.By default every phone has full screen available to write new sms.
I had to buy the phone without my native language pre-installed, as I live in another country and don't go back to Russia too often, so I didn't get any Russian language support whatsoever. Is it possible to install Russian somehow? I'm fine with English interface but would like to have it for sms writing. (there are English, French, German, Italian, Spanish and Portuguese available which doesn't help much)

I have a new phone W890i and as its a UK Phone doesn't have Greek language option for text writing. My old phone was bought in Greece so obviously had it. Does anyone know how to get Greek text onto my phone via a download or something? I need it!
Bought the mini pro two days ago and are pretty happy. It took me only a day to remove all the apps I don't like. Now the most annoying thing left is this language bar. When using the qwerty keyboard on any input field a big bar pops up which shows you your language setting, the status of the "blue" button and an "x" to close that bar. The bar not only uses a big portion of the screen, it also is pretty useless. Several programs (google mail for example) function buttons are hidden below that language bar.
So that every time you type something you have to use the little "x" on that bar to keep going. I know you can turn that bar off by unchecking "standard input". Unfortunately you turn off all the symbols and extra-signs by that too. Imagine now you are German and every second word has an Umlaut. The keyboard becomes useless. So the language bar is unavoidable. I do not want or need the onscreen keyboard. Any way around that bar without loosing the functionality of the "blue" or the "sym" button?
I've bought this phone sim free in the UK so I can use it with a Thai sim card when I'm travelling in Thailand but would like to install Thai language so that I can SMS my local friends in their native language.
yesterday i was updating my x10mini to new android and the update was successful without error, but everytime i restart my phone, system will ask for select language.
I have some trouble after a device update i did on my phone. I now only have the choice between two languages that are English and portugès.I would like to have it in french but it's not on the phone and i cannot manage the languages from the application menu of my desktop software.
