BB Bold 9700 :: Unable To See IP Modem To Connect As A Wireless Internet IP Modem In Device
May 30, 2010When I connect other BB, I can see in the DM that there is a 6th icon called IP modem to connect as a wireless internet IP modem, but how come in my 9700 I can't do that?

A few things that i discovered and its bad! Comparing to E71, E72 is very bad. By the way, this is the second E72 i am using. I bought one before, same issue, now the secound one, Same ISSUE again!
Here are the problems: I need to type in Chinese (pinyin) but whenever the language is switched to Chinese input, the calculator does not allow me to input decimal (how bad this is!).
Also in Chinese mode, once back to English input, the SPACE bar input is NOT WORKING. The only way is to restart the damm phone.

I've downloaded DESTOP MANAGER end when i'm using "Internet connection", the program always answer that there is a connection trouble with the modem, it is busy. When i'm asking parameters in control panelmodem, the phone answers.

Feb 15, 2010I just received the 8530 from work and installed the desktop Manager software on my laptop. Whenever I try and connect as a modem I recieve an error the remote computer did not repsond. I have looked around on different forums and could not get a definitate answer as to whether or not this phone is capable of this. In the manual it states that in DUN Profile I can use the phone as a modem using a bluetooth enabled PC but no instructions on how to do this were there. I stumbled on 3rd party software "tether". I installed it and it actually worked. So obviously the phone is capable of being used as a modem, but why not using the desktop manager software. Does anyone have a clue?

I have a wireless modem for my desktop & wondering if I can use this to connect my phone to the web without purchasing data?
Do I need a data plan to send emails? Can I use my existing online email acct(yahoo), or do I need to set up a special one for the phone? If so, please explain where/how? If not, what other info do I need to configure the existing one? It seems I need a PIN as well as e-addy & password(& assuming it's the yahoo password?)

I cleared that screen and now every time I go to type whether in an email, bbm, sms, or my browser I have a little EN box in the top right hand corner of my screen. And it's pretty darn annoying. I've been onto the BB site and the instructions there speak only of Windows and Mac operating systems. I can pair the BB to the Archos but it won't connect and the Archos reports that the BB will not support tethering.Can anyone help me fix this?

When I input the password set for the 8250 it will not allow connection to desktop.
