I have had a blackberry curve 8530 since march and it is now july! Everything has worked until now when i tried to install the desktop manager and it wouldnt accept my password. I tried 10 times and now it says "last attempt" and i don't want my phone to reset everything!
View 1 RepliesI had a 8330 (for 2 months) that would reboot itself constantly. Does not do it anymore 'cause I returned it for a 8530. The 8530 that I've had since Jan 01 is better, it only does it now and then when it is tethered to my pc.. Rendering it just about useless for my business activities. US Cellular is at a loss. Should I accept this defect as part of the BB experience?

When I hooked up my phone it asked for my password which I entered only it hasn't accepted it. I'm now down to my final go and don't really want to end up wiping my phone, I know I probably should have stopped trying sooner but I was frustrated.
It appears that the desktop software has changed my password, is there some sort of default it would have changed it to or am I destined to lose all the data on my phone?
I have had a message from Blackberry to validate my email address - this has happened several times and was just a case of entering my password. I have tried to do this and it keeps saying that my password is invalid. It isn't though, it is my correct password.

I have an iPhone 4S. I was required by my employer to download an app, RSA SecurID, for another level of security when working from home. After I did this, I noted that my visual voicemail was not available. After searching for answers, I reset the network settings. Visual voicemail came back just fine. Now the phone won't accept the correct password for my wifi. Funny thing is, though, that it does "see" the old network name, which incidentally, had the same password. The network name still showed up on the list, so I tried it and it connected. My MBP is connected to the network just fine. I have tried resetting the router, turning the phone off and on, turned wifi off and on in the General Settings. It just fails to connect.

It then asks me for a password. I assume this is the one also on the back of the router. However when I enter this I get a message 'Unable to connect to network'
Consequently if I use my phone to get to the internet, I am charged.

Just changed ISPs (from Orange Wanadoo to BTInternet. Had the 'engineer' come out and do all the connecting stuff because I ALWAYS get it wrong. He said he had connected everything and all would be OK.
But it isn't. I wanted to check email on my iPhone, and it wouldn't. Took my phone to an O2 shop (where I bought it from) and bloke there got it going eventually.

When I click the unlock button at the top, the phone prompts me to input my password. Instead of showing the usual **** when I type in the letters though, it is showing the actual letters or numbers (if I click the Alt button) and says "incorrect password" - aaaargh!
