IM Carlos and im new to this phone and I had a couple weeks now and I used the camera on my phone and was able to zoom in and out before but now it wont let me zoom in and out and I tried the shortcuts that it came with but nothing works.

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy nokia 5800 takes many time to autofocus i.e. changing of bracket from yellow to green. Firstly I can see zooming of lens in and out during autofocus, but now I can't. As a result the pic it shoots is blurred. When i compare the picture quality of 5800 with 5233 (2 mp), I found quality of 5233's pic is far better than 3.2 mp carl zeiss lens.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a Curve 8520 that's brand new. However, I notice when I zoom the camera and take a picture, the camera doesn't actually zoom in. All it does is resize the image so that it gets smaller the more it says the zoom number. For example, If I take a picture at 1x zoom, it will be 1024x768 pixels on my computer screen. However, if I zoom in 3x, it makes the picture much smaller (like 600x800) and more focused (and pixelated) on the center of the subject of the picture.
So that on the tiny Blackberry screen, the picture appears bigger when resized down a lot. When has digital zoom meant resizing the image to fool the user into thinking that it is zoomed only when viewing it on the blackberry screen? When I zoom in, it should keep the picture the same size! What a gip for a relatively high quality phone camera too.
The zoom feature was initially working with the touchpad button, however it stopped working abruptly and I am not too sure if it was a setting somewhere that I accidentally disabled. How to enable it or does this sound like a hardware issue?

I just upgraded from the 8330 Curve, to this one and so far I am highly disappointed!My friend who has an iPhone said BB is trying to be more like it. From the layout of the texts to the options. It's frustrating! If I wanted an iPhone, I would have bought one...I like the BB for the features it has not for being like the iPhone.Sorry, I got a bit rant-y but I cannot believe this new version doesn't have a flash. Hope I'm overlooking something!

It was a song I mmsed to a friend on her birthday, I have deleted the voice note and the mms, but each time I exit from the camera: "Happy birthday......" Its really annoying. Have this happened to anyone else? It doesn't matter which profile is activated and I couldn't find anything in the sound settings about the camera.... Help please! If I hear that song one more time I might not have a BB anymore.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently received a message telling me that an update was available for App World. I downloaded the update, installed it and rebooted. Now I am unable to download apps. When I hit the download button it takes me to the sign in for BlackBerry ID, then to terms and conditions and then to my ID settings! The only way I can get off this screen is to press Discard, which takes me back to where I started! I just keep going round in circles.

The one problem I have not been able to fix, it's that I can't access bbm 5.0. I have the icon on my home screen however, when I select it nothing happens. I have deleted it and re-installed it several times already and that didn't work. I have had to re-install the old version of the bbm and that version works fine. I have a curve 8520 from T-mobile and OS 4.6.

When the Application Loader launches, it only provides me with the option of maintaining my OS and downgrading my OS to the older 4.6.1 version. I have previously used the exact same steps on another Curve 8520 and I had successfully upgraded the OS. After the upgrade was successful on the first phone, only did I try upgrading the second phone. Is there anything I did wrongly the second time around?
View 13 Replies View RelatedI have the Curve 8520.I am a unique case of this, because with T-Mobile there is a way you can have a Blackberry without the data plan, so when I am trying to connect to the internet, it is ONLY through wi-fi.
On the home screen, the Wi-Fi Logo is lit up white, and it says the name of my network. However, when I try to access any webpage, the message comes up:"Unable to connect to the internet, please try again later. If the problem persists, please contact your service provider."It HAS worked before.
I have a local wifi service that works great with my laptop, but when I try to connect to it using the BB, it does not allow me to connect. I am not even getting to the user name/password prompt. It goes through the redirecting page then comes back after several seconds with a "bad query". I have tried the hotspot browser, firefox and Internet explorer with the same results. I have deleted the entry for the wireless connection, cleared all of my cache including cookies. I have neighbors that connect to the same wifi with their iPhones and it is no problem for them. Why would a BB be different. Curve 8530 v5.0.0.508.
View 5 Replies View Relatedfor the past week i was unable to access my email services. I have done a handheld wipe as well on my phone also after that which result that my email icon etc is not showing anymore. When i run a diagnostic test everythingis fine except for the PIN-PIN.

I phoned my service provider and according to them everything is in order on there system. They have tried to resend my email service books but i don't recieve it. Data service etc is working fine and my phone register on the blackberry network. Please assist as i am unable to setup my emails etc or connect to messenger etc....
I've being trying to update my device software but it's impossible, not even downloading the archive from the web.
Everytime I plug in my phone and open the blackberry manager to do whaterver it gives me the message that I haven't installed the Blackberry Device Manager . I updated my desktop manager to version 5.0, and I tried to update my device software and it says that I don't have any updates, after that I have deleted the files device.xml and vendor.xml but again when I plugged in my phone it comes the message that the Blackberry Device Manager is not installed. I've uninstalled the desktop manager and it let me use once but again no update for my phone software and then again the same message that i haven't installed the Blackberry Device Manager
My carrier company here in Ecuador wont help me cause I bought the phone in the USA, but anyways I have friends that have the same problem as and they have bought in Ecuador to Movistar (my carrier) the same phone and the update to 5.0 doesn't work.
my Curve 8520 has just received an update.however, since doing so, I am unable to set the alarm on my clock and blackberry app world keeps crashing on me.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a new Blackberry Curve 8530. When I set it up, I was able to synchronize my Outlook calendar to the BB but not my contacts. I was unable to synchronize my contacts because it said my BB was set up for wireless synchronization. I tried to follow the instructions for truning off wireless synching, but when I go to options in my contacts there is no wireless synchronization field for me to change. What am I missing?
Also, I updated my operating system and now I am unable to sync my calendar. When I try to select the organizer data to synronize, it won't let me select calendar because it says that calendar is not installed (and it won't let me select address book because it says it is syncing wirelessly). I have reinstalled my BB Desktop software and I read on another post that gmail might be a problem so I no longer have my gmail account on my BB. When I open my BB Desktop manager on my computer, I get a message saying "unknown error reported," which is why I reinstalled my Destop software, but I still get this message after the reinstall.
I am unable to log into twitter on my curve 8530. Whenever I do, I get the message "The username/password combination provided is incorrect. Please try again." Any suggestions?
