i just picked up a used 8330 from a friend. i have it activated and i keep getting emails from his email account that was on the phone orginally.. ive completly wiped the device and reinstalled the OS and they still come in any idea how to delete this old email account?

I have tried sending serivice books and a battery pull. What else am I missing? Yesterday they both worked fine and now today only one works.

I had my wife try from her work email and I have gone to my laptop and all email functions are normal. Do you need to know that I am on Verizon.

The only problem is that all of my old emails/texts are on the old device and I need them in my new device.Is there any way to download/sync the new device so that I get access to my old messages? Even if I could download/sync directly from hotmail.I would love to have my old BBMs too but that is definitely secondary.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI used the program MaxMem to try and get a little more memory out of the curve.I deleted the ringtones, I made a back up like it repeatedly asks, but the backup did not back up the sounds, I of course didn't know that till after the fact... Now my bb has no sound at all and is kinda acting goofy.Is there anyway to get these sounds back, a package somewhere or whatever? If I put on a new OS would that do it?

View 5 Replies View RelatedWhen you want to delete an email, you usually get the 'Delete From Handheld & Mailbox', 'Delete From Handheld', or Cancel. All I get now is Delete or Cancel. My email reconciliation is set to delete on prompt, wireless reconcile is on, and on conflicts is set to mailbox wins. However, I am not being prompted. What is confusing is that on some emails it asks and on others it is not asking. I tried battery pulls, deleting and readding the email address. I only have a personal email and not business.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm new to the BB and purchased an 8330 on ebay. Everythings seems to be fine, except, not all of the pervious owner info was deleted before I got it.. I was able to go into the user info by deleting and adding my own and that worked fine. I was able to activate the phone ok.However, when I set up the email account info for my web mail account, it created an additional account and didn't replace the old owners Gmail account.
I receive my emial fine but when I reply from the phone it goes our through the Gmail and not my webmail account. Both Icons are on the screen and I have set "Hide" and "Show All". If I uncheck "Show All" the Icon disappears. If I recheck the "Show All" it is back so it must still be active in background. (I do this uncheck by opening the Browser Icon.) The old name is still there on that Gmail account.
How do I get rid of this old user info, so it won't haunt me anymore?
I have my Confirm Delete disabled in my email general settings and my email reconciliation settings for all my accounts set to delete emails on the device. Starting today, when I select more than one email, text, etc. to delete, it pops up the delete confirmation prompt. I pulled the battery and tried again. Still, the confirmation dialog pops up.If I delete individual messages, there is no dialog.

I'm able to delete emails on the device, and have them delete in gMailI am not able to:-Delete items in gMail and have them auto-delete on the device.I have set up "E-mail reconciliation" on the device.. and it all should be working.Blackberry KB18426 talks about the "limitations" of the enhanced gMail connector but doesn't specifically mention deletions.Again, I cannot delete FROM gMail and have it show up (deleted / reconciled) on the device.
I am having two issues on my blackberry curve......I have three e-mails of my phone that I cannot delete....they are from my google account and have tried a hard reset several times and have made sure they are deleted from my actual gmail account with no luck. The other issue is I cannot download apps on my blackberry keep getting error message 30702 saying I need to log in to my account but unable to log into this account!
