View 6 Replies View RelatedOther than highlighting then clicking delete all, Or a highlight all shortcut, because I dislike scrolling through 500 emails. And 500 texts each night.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI used the program MaxMem to try and get a little more memory out of the curve.I deleted the ringtones, I made a back up like it repeatedly asks, but the backup did not back up the sounds, I of course didn't know that till after the fact... Now my bb has no sound at all and is kinda acting goofy. Is there anyway to get these sounds back, a package somewhere or whatever? If I put on a new OS would that do it?
View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen you want to delete an email, you usually get the 'Delete From Handheld & Mailbox', 'Delete From Handheld', or Cancel. All I get now is Delete or Cancel. My email reconciliation is set to delete on prompt, wireless reconcile is on, and on conflicts is set to mailbox wins. However, I am not being prompted. What is confusing is that on some emails it asks and on others it is not asking. I tried battery pulls, deleting and readding the email address. I only have a personal email and not business.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm new to the BB and purchased an 8330 on ebay. Everythings seems to be fine, except, not all of the pervious owner info was deleted before I got it.. I was able to go into the user info by deleting and adding my own and that worked fine. I was able to activate the phone ok.However, when I set up the email account info for my web mail account, it created an additional account and didn't replace the old owners Gmail account.
I receive my emial fine but when I reply from the phone it goes our through the Gmail and not my webmail account. Both Icons are on the screen and I have set "Hide" and "Show All". If I uncheck "Show All" the Icon disappears. If I recheck the "Show All" it is back so it must still be active in background. (I do this uncheck by opening the Browser Icon.) The old name is still there on that Gmail account.
How do I get rid of this old user info, so it won't haunt me anymore?
I have my Confirm Delete disabled in my email general settings and my email reconciliation settings for all my accounts set to delete emails on the device. Starting today, when I select more than one email, text, etc. to delete, it pops up the delete confirmation prompt. I pulled the battery and tried again. Still, the confirmation dialog pops up.If I delete individual messages, there is no dialog.
View 11 Replies View RelatedNo Browser is running and I dont have any apps. I was on the phone for 15 min and my battery was half dead when I got off. Was never like that before. I've had this phone for almost 2 years. The same thing is happening with the rest of my families Blackberrys. Why is this?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI was given a BB Curve 8310 to attempt a repair. When I attach the USB cable to the BB the system tray does not pop up with a notification that says "found new hardware" like it normally does when you plug a BB in. When the phone boots up it displays error msg " JVM Error 513". I attempted to looking into the device by using "cracmem" and "JL_Cmder" and no data is to be found and thus there is nothing to wipe. I suspect that the device has already been wiped thus the no data. I have pulled the battery from the phone and reinstalled; unplugged the usb cable during the BB boot process and nothing is happening. The DM application loader will not allow me to procede due to computer not recognizing the BB device thus it is not generating the "USB:UNKNOWN".
View 7 Replies View RelatedI installed the BB desktop manager for Mac yesterday, and this morning connected to remove some apps, create some space, and install all the updates. In the process of this it mysteriously just stopped doing anything right after it said "database cannot be backed up" and shut off. Now it's flashing red twice, pausing for about 2 seconds, and repeating the flashing. I pulled the battery and sim even though I was sure that wouldn't do anything, plugged it back into my laptop, plugged it into the wall both with and without the battery, and nothing has changed. The desktop manager doesn't not recognize the device at all.
I'm using a Curve 8330. Is there anything I can do or am I screwed totally? Also, and I know this is a long shot, but what are the odds that I can restore the device and save the data that's on it?
I've had my 8330 Curve with Verizon since November 2008. Very happy with it. I also happen to still be using OS 4.3.0.127 (202), which is what the unit came loaded with. I never bothered upgrading because I would always hear of people having issues or DM only backing up your contacts and not your apps, lower music volume, etc. I don't really need Docs To Go, but HTML e-mail would be nice and the biggest thing is trying to improve these BBM delays I constantly get when trying to send a message. I'm thinking an upgrade to the latest BBM might help change that.
Of course, in order to do that, I need to upgrade to 4.5. So I've decided to do it, but not before I ask for feedback here. I've scanned dozens of other threads here, all with varying opinions. It's been long enough. Is it wise to do this and, if so, what is the latest OS for VZW (is it .138)? What risks am I really running here? Need a reality check on this.
I don't know if this is possible or not so I thought I would ask here, is it possible to alter the way the menu functions in the blackberry curve? in example, what I want to do is like when I send a sms text message and when I hit the trackball and the menu options come up, the send button is highlighted, and what I would like do is modify it so that the check spelling is highlighted first and then send button is right below it, is it possible to do this or is this an internal Blackberry Software modification?
View 14 Replies View RelatedI have a Blackberry Curve 8320. Yesterday night, the "battery too low for radio use" sign appeared. I plugged it in for about an hour but the sign would not disappear so I did a battery pull. Radio turned back on, but now the phone will not charge. The lightning icon still shows up by the battery but it is stuck at 5%. Any suggestions?

Except that, I wanna tether with my BB (Yes I have a plan for it) and on my provider web page, they say I need DM 5.0 EXCEPT that I have a 8310 and I'm on OS 4.5
My new 8330 Curve has : 22787889 bytes file free.I am not running any third party apps.I have Memory Cleaner enabled. I have done Batter Pull and reboot. Is this low? I read somewhere on crackberry that this was considered to be very low.
When I bought my first computer in 1998, it was a used Dell. The specs were 378 Mhz processor, 128MB of ram and a puny little hard drive. Couldn't do graphics worth a dang. It froze up less than my Curve.
View 11 Replies View RelatedSo I got a blackberry curve 8300 (never been used) the other day and I have modified my contract with o2 so i have the unlimited blackberry data bolt on. I can access BB messenger no problem and have been chatting away, but I can't go on the web because there is no browser on the phone. how the heck do I solve this problem? How do I get the browser on the blackberry? Obviously I'll need a browser for emails and facebook and twitter, or even to download the apps for these.

Its not like we can just go out and purchase new phones @ retail when they decide to neglect the older models. But im not crying about it, would just love to know why.
Doesnt make a whole lot of sense to me. A prepaid phone is running better and more upto date software than my contract phone! Go Figure!
Ask for a password of blackberry? Can anyone tell me what my bb did and why?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI just got a 8310 for free and she told me she went to use it one day and it stopped working. Like she couldnt hit any buttons or anything, she can scroll but thats it. So I was thinking about trying to wipe it and re-installing a newer OS. I have not done this for this type of phone.
View 4 Replies View RelatedSo yeah, my wives 8310 battery reports between 50-100% charge, and if she is in a call, bam it shuts off, and will only turn back on, on charger. I would think it was battery BUT; this happened every day while in California, we went to South Carolina for the holidays (whole month of december), and it happened only once.OS is up to date, I upgraded to latest to make sure that wasn't the issue, happened following day (in Cali)and battery is 2 y/o. Anyone ever hear of this anomaly?
