Oct 9, 2011basically im wanting to write in Korean on my blackberry torch 9810 i know your meant to download the eastern language pack etcc but it actually says "installed" on the blackberry ddesktop.but on my blackberry when i go to switch languages none of the eeastern languages are there.the odd thing is i can still rread korean messages send to me through bbm and facebook, i just cant reply in that language because it isnt an option.so it says its istalled.. but i cant actually get the option on my blackberry.

BB Bold :: East Asian Language Support On Handheld?
Apr 6, 2012I would like to install the East Asian language software on my Blackberry Bold handheld. Unfortunately my wireless service provider (Vodafone NL) only supports the multi language software and not the all language or East Asian language software.
So therefore my question, how could I download the Asian language support although my wireless service provides doesn't provides any?
In the old days, and in this age its only one year ago, it was possible to download all the necessary software on the Blackberry website, so on my 4.0 OS I could easily add the East Asian language software. Recently I ubdated my handheld with the 6.O OS and now I am confronted with this problem. Hence I now its possible to get the East Asian language support, and after enjoying its advantages for more than a year I can't do anything without.

My device software version is 5.0.0.330 and i'm trying to update the software for east asian language(korean for me), bu it can only display , not input.I downloaded version 5.0.0442.i followed all the instructions and even downloaded other versions of software like 5.0.0.593. so frustrated! is the device software version important?

May 23, 2011I have bold 9780,and my GPS doesn't work so is it necessary to have internet or blackberry services to make it work?I know that A-GPS don't need any other connection to communicate with the satellites also I tried all the troubleshooting process and it say that GPS update fails so is it necessary to have internet connection or BB services?

Nov 8, 2010The track Pad of my BB bold 9700 doesn't work. I can click but I can't move the cursor. I just can see the first option in the menu but I can't move to another options. I changed the Track Pad and It doesn't worked. I think that maybe the problem is in the main board, I don't know.... Is there another way to move through the menu without using the trak Pad? I have tried taking the battery and sim card out and pressing metal plate.

Jan 22, 2010I updated today to Maps 3.01. (To be noted that Ovi Suite still considers there is a new version of Maps available and would download and install 3.01 again any times I click on update.) When starting Maps the load screen with progress bar appears, then I can see an "empty" map. No keys work. After a few seconds (around 10 or so) the phone restarts.I deleted Cities folder and the file QF, rebooted, reinstalled etc. nothing helps.

Sep 16, 2012Have had the Bold for a couple yrs. Was missing App World icon for a while, then upgraded to the latest OS. Had the icon back for about a week, then it disappeared again. Battery pull doesn't help.The camera stopped working before the OS upgrade, and still doesn't work even after that. When I try to open it, I see the controls at the bottom of the screen for a while, it sits for a few minutes, then I get an error message "Could not start the camera. Close other applications and try opening the camera again." This happens even when I've closed everything else. Battery pull doesn't help this either.Tried the Device Self Test & the camera failed.

Apr 13, 2012Two major issues occur after an upgrade to OS6.
1. Ever since the upgrade from OS5 to OS6, I've been getting memory issues when simply browsing the internet. U get the message "The memory available on your device is low. Please close some tabs." just reading the news.
2. This is urgent. I just updated my OS6 and now my e-mail doesn't even work. Whenever I try to set it up under e-mail accounts "internet mail account", it just freezes or closes.
I've looked at the possible go to "mobile.blackberry.com" and go to communications but I don't see that option available. I also tried battery pulling many times to restart my e-mail service. This is coming close for me in drawing the line for BlackBerry phones.

It just asks me the passwords for my existing emails but when I enter my passwords, nothing happens. It asks me to log in again. I can't set up new emails on this phone. It doesn't give me option to set up new emails.

Mines been hanging for at least 30 minutes and if the only way to help is to get suggestions from non-blackberry employees while the support services hide away then the phone may as well go back and I'll, get an iPhone.
It shouldn't be up to the people on this forum to be left to do things themselves. Blackberry needs to get involved with all the problems and questions their updates are causing.
