I'm just wondering if someone can help me. My device software version is 5.0.0.330 and i'm trying to update the software for east asian language(korean for me), bu it can only display , not input.I downloaded version 5.0.0442.i followed all the instructions and even downloaded other versions of software like 5.0.0.593. so frustrated! is the device software version important?
View 9 RepliesI would like to install the East Asian language software on my Blackberry Bold handheld. Unfortunately my wireless service provider (Vodafone NL) only supports the multi language software and not the all language or East Asian language software.
So therefore my question, how could I download the Asian language support although my wireless service provides doesn't provides any?
In the old days, and in this age its only one year ago, it was possible to download all the necessary software on the Blackberry website, so on my 4.0 OS I could easily add the East Asian language software. Recently I ubdated my handheld with the 6.O OS and now I am confronted with this problem. Hence I now its possible to get the East Asian language support, and after enjoying its advantages for more than a year I can't do anything without.
I would like to know where I can download an East Asian language pack for the BlackBerry Pearl 9105? I can't seem to find it online anywhere, I've also tried searching for the companies email address to contact technical support or customer services. They don't seem to have an email address to contact so I'm wondering if there was a way to install language pack on it, if there is, how do I install it?I'm using Desktop Device Software 5.The reason that I'm asking is because, sometimes my friends' sends me text messages on my phone and I can't see them as it is all in squares.
View 9 Replies View Relatedbasically im wanting to write in Korean on my blackberry torch 9810 i know your meant to download the eastern language pack etcc but it actually says "installed" on the blackberry ddesktop.but on my blackberry when i go to switch languages none of the eeastern languages are there.the odd thing is i can still rread korean messages send to me through bbm and facebook, i just cant reply in that language because it isnt an option.so it says its istalled.. but i cant actually get the option on my blackberry.

View 2 Replies View Relatedthere's no any chinese, japanese, korean input language method. i looked into the applications in BB Desktop Software, and there were only other input languages except those 3,, i downloaded and installed OS 7.1 Bundle 1648, but i can't upgrade/downgrade with that OS. there's the software info in installed device software, but when i tried to update, there was none. and the other version was only my current software.

A few things that i discovered and its bad! Comparing to E71, E72 is very bad. By the way, this is the second E72 i am using. I bought one before, same issue, now the secound one, Same ISSUE again!
Here are the problems: I need to type in Chinese (pinyin) but whenever the language is switched to Chinese input, the calculator does not allow me to input decimal (how bad this is!).
Also in Chinese mode, once back to English input, the SPACE bar input is NOT WORKING. The only way is to restart the damm phone.
i have a peculiar problem on my bold9900. when i am texting a sentence, before could even complete it, there appears a fullstop and the next word starts as a new sentence.each time i have to manually go back, erase the full stop and then remove the capitalisation by erasing the letter and start texting again. this is not always happening and only happens sometimes. i have tried everything from changing input language to adjusting key sensitivity but the problem still persists. any solutions?"this is like.This and everytime i am going.Backwards to retype!"

All of the help instructions include steps and/or menu options that are not available on my phone. View 3 Replies View RelatedI was always the frustrated one, seeing leaked OS, but if I want to play with it, I had to sacrifice Chinese reading/writing ability. Well a bit of research got me into finally figuring out how to actually insert Chinese/Other Languages capability into any OS (especially leaked ones!). Mind you this is only for BB 9700. It's actually easier than I think =) Anyway, there are two ways to doing it. Installing it as a separate add-on (Simillar to BB Maps / Password Keeper type RIM app), or installing it with the OS. 100% sure the OS method works, .alx via app loader through DM seems to be a little buggy, still testing.

I upgraded from my Bold 9000 to the Bold 9700 and now Japanese Input is not working anymore. I installed several eastAsia packages from different providers and its possible to read Japanese but when I am trying to choose Japanese as input language on my 9700 its switching back to the language before. korean and thai are working without any problem.
It seems to be that this problem only occures on Blackberry's with a QWERTZ keyboard. We tested it from several carrier (O2 Germany, O2 Szech and T-Mobile Germany [all have QWERTZ keyboard]).
Currently installed OS: v5.0.0.593 (Bundle 1022, Platform 5.1.0.147)
I used to be able to read and input chinese character on my Bold 9700.Few days ago, I connected my device to the desktop manager and it prompted me to update my device os to V5.0.0.593 (Bundle 1022, Platform 5.1.0.147). Ever since then, I am unable to read or input chinese characters.
I've read through the forum, did whichever I can find, and crashed my blackberry a few times as I think I loaded some 3rd party modules. I managed to wipe out the whole device and reload EastAsia pack (which I did at least 3 times) but am still unable to have my chinese characters on.
Just got my Nokia E63 yesterday and was wondering if there's any way to add Russian as an input language? Got a text today in Russian that I can read fine but can only use the default English alphabet to reply.
