I recently bought an unlocked BB Bold 9790 in USA.I'm Portuguese and I pretend to use it in Africa (in a country without BB service).Being so, I really need to change the input language to Portuguese. I installed the BB Desktop Software (710_b033_multilanguage) and I have BB device software version 7.0 2356 (unfortunatly I'm not allowed to upgrade to 7.1).I went to applications in BB Desk.Soft but it doesn't appear the "Language and Input Support" application.
I am trying to change the input language on my Blackberry Bold 9790 from English to Japanese i have used so many versions of blackberry desktop manager and i just can not seem to get it to work.
there's no any chinese, japanese, korean input language method. i looked into the applications in BB Desktop Software, and there were only other input languages except those 3,, i downloaded and installed OS 7.1 Bundle 1648, but i can't upgrade/downgrade with that OS. there's the software info in installed device software, but when i tried to update, there was none. and the other version was only my current software.
A few things that i discovered and its bad! Comparing to E71, E72 is very bad. By the way, this is the second E72 i am using. I bought one before, same issue, now the secound one, Same ISSUE again!
Here are the problems: I need to type in Chinese (pinyin) but whenever the language is switched to Chinese input, the calculator does not allow me to input decimal (how bad this is!).
Also in Chinese mode, once back to English input, the SPACE bar input is NOT WORKING. The only way is to restart the damm phone.
i have a peculiar problem on my bold9900. when i am texting a sentence, before could even complete it, there appears a fullstop and the next word starts as a new sentence.each time i have to manually go back, erase the full stop and then remove the capitalisation by erasing the letter and start texting again. this is not always happening and only happens sometimes. i have tried everything from changing input language to adjusting key sensitivity but the problem still persists. any solutions?"this is like. This and everytime i am going.Backwards to retype!"
when i connect BB to the desktop software, no "input languages" under the application item. the application item only shows the apps i downloaded. does it mean i have deleted the language pack? if so where can i download it? i have tried to wipe the BB but cant help.
How can I upgrade and choose OS for my BB9900? I need input Thai language but on H3G Italy site Software Download don't have all language versione. I don't know which site to download it.
I've just started using my new BB 9700, but unfortunately I have chosen only the English language at the first setup step, so the Arabic language has been deleted.I have tried installing the BB Desktop Manager and tried to check the update Application section in order to remove or add language (as per lots of internet posts) but again I can't find any option at the Add/remove application except the downloaded extra applications (facebook, Live Messenger and BB Messenger)
BB 9700, OS 6.0 I live in the UK (mobileprovider VRGIN) and I want to install german as my input language. I can install nearly every language (turkish, afrikaans, french, etc.), but not german.
I day tripped it from the UK to the Netherlands. Without any obvious intervention from me Input Langauage changed from English to something else - a completely different alphabet. How can I avoid it happening again? It was a big problem because my password is in English!
I'm looking to add an input language onto my BB Bold, the problem is - the language is not in the list of options... What I'm after is Chinese... I got my phone from UK and it's SIM free.I am pretty terrible when it goes about advanced options and I'm affraid if I start fixing something myself, I will do more damage than good
know a way of getting my BB 9900 to accept Japanese as an input language? I have a list on the phone already but not Japanese. I have previously managed to download something on an old BB 8900 - that worked fine - but not managed with the BB 9900.
I'm just wondering if someone can help me. My device software version is 5.0.0.330 and i'm trying to update the software for east asian language(korean for me), bu it can only display , not input.I downloaded version 5.0.0442.i followed all the instructions and even downloaded other versions of software like 5.0.0.593. so frustrated! is the device software version important?

Just got my Nokia E63 yesterday and was wondering if there's any way to add Russian as an input language? Got a text today in Russian that I can read fine but can only use the default English alphabet to reply.
So when I was in gingerbread, whenever I needed to type in either Chinese or Japanese, I could just tap and hold down on the text box (either in SMS or any forms of text box), but now tap and hold down on the screen no longer gives me that option.. and when I go setting for typing I could not find the original Chinese and Japanese inputs.
im a 9360 user, i seted up for east asain language pack through blackberry desktop. however i only can read the laugages not typing. so i downloaded the all language pack from rim but my mac can't install it.could please let me know how i can set up using korean for input and display language
So basically I must have pressed Alt and Enter and the language options came up. I cleared that screen and now every time I go to type whether in an email, bbm, sms, or my browser I have a little EN box in the top right hand corner of my screen. And it's pretty darn annoying. How do I get rid of this? I've tried doing a battery pull, connecting my phone to my desktop manager on my laptop and unticking all the languages apart from UK English. And yet it is STILL there. It is driving me quite insane
I'm just newly entering the BB world, my first real major issue is adding Hebrew as input language to Curve 8520.Like to verify that I can read Hebrew on it, dont need to have Hebrew system, but all what i need is to be able to write Hebrew. Have to tell you that all the Multilingual softwares provided on the website for Curve 8520 dosent include Hebrew.
I am in India and am thinking of buying the X2-02 but I would like to know whether it has input methods for Indic languages.Last time I bought C1-01 I was pleasantly surprised to find that it allowed me to type in Indic languages for SMSs etc. Also in my X1-01 if I have set the phone language to Indic language then I can compose message in Indic script.
Is there any way how I can change the input language on my n82 without navigating the whole way through the settings? Some kind of shortcut like on the e-series. I had the idea to emulate the necessary keys from e-series phones using magickey:
I selected "I never want to have any words or letters replaced" in Words Suggestions in Language and Input. I can see word suggestions on top of Xperia keyboard but I am unable to select the words. The letters below the words gets selected instead. This only happens in phone is held upright (portrait). The selection works when phone is rotated horizontal (landscape).Â
That leads me to another problem, when in horizontal (landscape), only a slither of the doc avail for editing. The keyboard takes up 2 thirds of the space, and apps tool bar takes the rest of the real estate above that. Hence I almost never input any docs/apps on the Z3 horizontally. Maybe the real estate issue is because I use large font size.Â
I am interested in an export set for Ray selling $100 less than a warranty set but the sales man said there is no support for Chinese messaging input. $100 saving is very tempting, and Ray is not known for hardware problem.Seek expert advice from seasoned Android and Ray users - If Sony really did not preinstall Chinese as one of the list of languages to choose for messaging input, then is it easy to get it installed by updating to the latest software from Sony Ericsson website from my region? Or need to buy a messaging app for Chinese with the language built into the app from the Android Market? Or must root the device in order to re-install the OS used for this East Asian region?
At the massage tools > writting language>: does not have the list for chinese language although from the application got the chinese keyboard software but it look like useless. Isn't the flaw of android 2.1? How do I change back to android 1.6?
Every time I compose a message and start typing a bar pops up at the bottom of my screen with the current language on the left and a x on the right to close it. I hit this to close it and get it out of the way but the moment I start typing again its there! I dont find since I have had the phone any use for this annoying pop up so, Is there any way of stopping it?
