I forgot my password to my blackberry and it was security wiped, however before the last attempt I removed my sd card. I have now put my sd card back in and it is asking me for an encryption password. So basically asking for the password that I forgot. Is there any way I can access the sd card as it has very important pictures on there?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have the much reported "memory card corrupt" error after upgrading the E71 to the latest firmware. I tried to look all over how to deal with this, most of the answers seem to be oriented towards trying to recover the data. I don't want, it, I just want to use the card. its encryption says its on, tried to unencrypt with the password pk5 file I had, accepts no password I have. so I tried all the suggested ways to format it - from the phone (doesn't work, it says "memory card in use" which isn't true, how can it be in use if its corrupt? I then select "continue anyway" then it just flashes quickly as if it formatted it and then does nothing) or from a PC with a card reader, tried several readers but always shows up the drive letter but when I try to format it in windows it says "There is no disk in drive X" must I throw away this 8GB MiniSD just because I upgraded firmware?

I never changed this card since last 3 years but when I inserted it in my BB phone, it didn't recognised and I indicated i.e. Cannot access the memory card for fatal reasons. I do have "media card support" on, "Mass Storage Mode Support" on, and "Auto enable mass storage mode when connected" on.

After updating the 9930 to software 7.1 when the phone reboots using the option in App World after installing an app, I notice the phone cannot access the files stored on the memory card using a software reboot.Only by doing a battery pull does the phone recognise the media card contents and then I can access it. Therefore everytime I install an app I have to do a battery pull to restart the phone as the restart option from the App World in the phone makes the files on the media card not to be seen.This bug was not present before I did the upgrade to 7.1 bundle 1737?

I have files and pictures and whatnot on my 2GB card that I would like to carry over to the 8GB. Turning encryption off is not an option as the security policy is managed by the corporate office. And, of course, copying the files to my desktop, then putting them onto the 8GB card doesn't work either.Is there a backup option for the media card or something in DTM? I looked all over for it and came up with nothing. I have not wiped out my 2GB card and it is perfectly fine in the phone now; all files intact. I just want to upgrade to an 8GB card. How do I do that?

View 4 Replies View RelatedUnfortunatly though I cannot copy files to the memory card in the phone. It is accesible via the phones internal browser but not via my PC.
At the moment I have to work around this by copying files to a temporary folder on the phone and then use the phones browser to move it to the card (Double handeling).
I have seen the thread about the back cover and bad contacts but the back cover is firmly on and if the contacts were faulty I could not use the card which I can at the moment.
I have recently connected my phone with my laptop and now I am unable to access my media from the memory card.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI am looking for some help on getting access to media that was encrypted on the 128MD micro SD card that came with my original BB Curve (qwerty).Some time back my original BB was damaged and my company's internal IT dept gave me a temporary Curve BB (azerty). That BB came with an SD card which I replaced with my original SD card. When my new BB Curve (qwerty) got in, I handed over the temporary one (azerty) and kept my original micro SD card. Now I need to access the content of that micro SD card and am having a hard time doing so.
I can't remember if the original micro SD card was only encrypted with a password or a device key as well.
I have tried to use what I think the encryption key was on the micro SD I need to access by use of the new BB Curve (qwerty). I get my 5 try's then remove and re-insert the micro SD card.
All this to no avail. Now, the content is very important to me and I am willing to go through any formal process to get at the content. Can anyone tell me how to reach someone at RIM (BlackBerry) to discuss this, or if there is any legal way of getting at the content. (I can confirm the content before it is decrypted).
The issues I have here are:
1) not sure if the card was encrypted with a password and a device key (in which case I have a further dilemma in that the original device (BB Curve qwerty) has been retired and is no longer available for use) or just a password. Is there a way to find this out?
2) Because I use so many different passwords on all the devices I have to use, I am not even sure I am trying the right one for this micro SD card. Plus having gone from a qwerty to azerty, then back to a qwerty keyboard, I am not sure I am using the right password to decrypt. I am however able to provide the full password if given the 1st character of the encryption password.
I am not looking to do anything illegal but truly need to access the encrypted content. As such I am reaching out to the community and looking for any help available such as contact at RIM, formal process to decrypt, hints, clues. Anything to move this forward.
I have the upgrded my phone to android version 4.0.4 (build no.4.1.B.0.431) , but after that the phone is not displaying the contents of the memory card only internal memory, and has become too slow
View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently installed a 32GB SD card to my Galaxy SII and moved most movable apps to it. However, now I need to copy some stuff from my PC to the 'internal' SD card and I can't connect to it.
I do the regular 'USB utilites -> Connect storage to PC' routine, but all I get on the PC is the external card.
How can I access the 'internal' SD card without physically removing the external one? BTW, I'm on official, non-rooted ICS 4.0.4.
