BB Storm :: 9550 Address Book Sync Error 0X80040FB3
Dec 13, 2010I have a Blackberry Storm 2 in which I loaded another Gmail address, sometime there after I tried to sync my storm with my laptop and received an error a quarter of the way through the sync of my contacts. When I received this error I checked my contacts on my device and they were all gone! I have since spent about 6 hours doing a clean install of my desktop software and device software all of which has yielded no results. I am still receiving the same error.

I have removed all of the pictures from the contacts on outlook but the error message still appears.
I have uncheck the picture and attachment fields in the DM but the error message still appears.

Nov 7, 2011I have tried to sync my 9630 with Outlook 2007, my OS is W7 permium. In previous sync's everything worked fine. Now I get the error message 0x80040fb3. I have deleted contact photos check email address deleted several contacts, backup the device to no success checked the bb blogs nothing seems to be working and trying to figure out how to "speak" with someone at BB is next to impossible. Dec 22, 2010There appears to be no fix for this problem. RIM suggests the issue relates to email2 and/or email3 entry's with no content in the email field for the Outlook Contacts. This has been thoroughly checked and I confirmed this was not the case (also confirmed no East Asian characters).The problem is definitely in the newest version of the Device operating system. When I rolled back to the old operating system, the problem goes away.I can not believe RIM has no contact capability within the Support website for people with problems! Very user unfriendly. They are begging for customers to switch to iPhone.

Apr 4, 2010I've just gotten a Bold 9700 and noticed that even though I have the option to sync the profile pictures of my friends with my contacts profiles on the phone, the pictures for my phone contacts remain blank. The Facebook profiles are linked to my contacts and sometimes will show the Facebook profile picture but after a while the picture reverts to a blank icon again. I've also unselected the option to sync and re-enabled the option to update Blackberry contacts with my Facebook contacts to try and force the pictures to update but no success.
I was thinking that it might also be because of a conflict wiyth other apps trying to update the contact pictures seeing as I originally imported all my contatcs from my Gmail account but I am unable to figure out which other apps, if any, are updating contact pics and thereby turn them off.
Blackberry contacts linked to a LinkedIn profile show their LinkedIn profile pics correctly though and other than that I only have BB Messenger, GTalk, Windows Live Messenger and Facebook that are linked to my Blackberry contacts.Any ideas on how I can get my contacts' pictures to sync correctly with Facebook?

Sep 16, 2010I am having an issue with a weird error code that I have gotten since day 1 of owning my torch. Everytime I do a BP when the phone boots up I am getting an error that says, "122 Error Invalid Number. Please re-send using a valid 10 digit mobile number or valid short code. Activatet=6"
I get this same error code when trying to set up my visual voicemail. When someone leaves a message I get that 122 Error as well as another error sent from 1000000000 that just has a garbled message. My VVM has been reset twice by at&t and I have been told that everything is provisioned correctly. I was hoping that .214 would fix this issue but still it persists.
